  1. Hi, As we know, cooking was much improved in the last few months due to the release of new medium and high level food. If we could buy the horns in shops, or even from other players - then rich players could simply make a "mass production" of the helms, and I meant for hard-to-get rare items, that their price would not fall-down easily. On second thought - maybe the KBD related crowned helm should be untradable at all, to make it a symbol statue of a both combat and crafting champion (a bit similar to the fire cape). 2. As for the teles: tele into taverly dungeon will make the blue helm too similar to the black helm (tele to the same maze). I am aware that not everyone did the watchtower - so, either those players wont be able to use the blue tele, or else it will lead them near the entrance of the ogre city (by the gate guards).
  4. making them hard to make was 1 of my main thoughs. for example: the black kinhelm has the same stats like the robinhood hat (+ special abilities). It will break the balance if it wasnt very hard to get. And this will also keep prices of those items high. By the way: the difficulty to obatain the material varries from kind to kind. It is defiently not too hard to kill some green or blue dragons to get 2 semi-rare drops and to combine them with a single dragonstone. but - it is meant to be very hard or expensive to wield a king-dragon related helm, better then robin, with teleports to deep wildy (good luck killing the kbd enough times to get 3 semi-rare drops :P ) As for the unenchented verison: I see no reason why not to make them usable - they are simply a different and "show-off" looking archer helm (and as those, they dont break any balance so they dont have to be degrading).
  5. Kin Helmets Intro: Why do we need those helms in rs? The main goal is connected to create both challanging and rewarding goal for high level crafters, and also to create another high-level money drain in the game. The kin helmet is, basicly, a very nice looking and slightly improved ranger helmet (fitting to the role of dragonhides in general), with a side bonus abillity. On the other hand, those helms are degrading and needs repair - in form of replacing some of its indigrents after it deceys. According to my suggestion, there will be five forms of this helmet, one per each regular dragon, and the last one - the mighty ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅHighlord crowned helmÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  6. The update is nice - not one of the greatest, but nice. Unless the next new spell system will change the situation, the currnet update is simple a new method to train thieving - and as such it is good, no complains at all. Before it came up, I was training at the safes near rogue's den (much quicker then master farmer or other pickpocket npc), and the new method is much quicker. I was lv57 when i fist got there, and I earned 2 levels quickly. I dought jagex will lower the exp - if they will do so, the minigame will be soon abandoned, becasue its main use and profit is the quick exp (much more then in pest control, not to mention the rfd chest). As for influence on the market: im not sure the staff will be a great succes, unless it will gain new uses in the next updates. The main benefits from it will be to those who constantly use the minigame - it will give them a quicker way to restock (comparing to the nardah method described below). on the other hand, maybe the prices of super-antipoison (and also irits and unicorn horns) will go up a bit, for those potions are used very quickly over there. As for invontory (for higer cb levels): i take 2 super anti-poison(4) - enough for 8+ trips, blackhide armor + dmed and whip for the mummies, 8-10 lobs 1 space for gp 1 waterskin and 1 bucket (to fill it - needed when you ran to sell the artifacts) ectophial (in case a quick escape is needed). the rest of the inv is for the artifacts. the easiest way to restock on food and antipoison is to take the flying carpet to polinevich and then nardah, bank, then returen the same way (800 gp total cost).
  7. Since i started to farm seriously, i hade a constant root betwenn the 4 allotment-herb patches + belladona patch, consuming only 2 laws and 1 water runes. On the other hand Bushes and mushrooms were always a headach. Now, I guess the fairy rings changed it. Here one proposal for a "grand-harvest" root. feel free to comment or add proposals. Start point: Ardaugn wielding: air staff + dueling ring 1. take ectophial + 4 herb seeds+ allotment seeds from the north bank. 2. run to the allotment-herb patch north of ardy, harvest/plant 3. run to catherby, bank your harvest. 4. pick the fruit tree and harvest/plant the allotment north of the bank. 5. use ectophial, harvest/plant the patch to the west. 6. tele to fally (1 law, 1 water). 7. run to the east bank to deposit crops, take dramen staff, 1mushroom spore, hatchet and 1 earth rune (or charged glory). 8. harvest/plant the allotment-herb south of fally. 9. run east to draynor mansion (or use glory), harvest/plant the belladona patch. 10. use dueling ring to al-kahrid. pick cactus spines. 11. tele to lumby (1 law, 1 water), or just run past the gate. 12. use canu from lumbi to champion guild (if you are full or near that, bank in the kitchen's celler), pick the bush. 13. use canu again to edge - take fairy ring to zanaris. 14. fairy ring (cks) - harvest/plant the mushroom patch, return to ring. 15. fairy ring (aiq) - to mudskeeper point - run to rimmingtone, pick bush, return. 16. fairy ring (cip) - miscellenia - run east, pick bush, bank. 17. run back to ring and (djp) to necromancer house, or else just tele to ardy (2 laws and 2 waters, or else 1 law and 1 earth via house tele and ardy portal). 18. pick the bush and take the boat to karjama for the fruit tree. 19. return to ardy. cost: 60gp (or none, if u use ring of charos) 1 use of a dualing ring runes: the base is - 1 law and 1 water (or 3 laws and 3 waters if u tele to ardy insted of running back to miscelenia castle).

Another option: Zanaris bank - fairy ring (ckr) - nature altar - back? that way you dont have to recharge glories at all, and its not much longer (remeber - there is a little run to do from edge bank to the fairy ring also) by the way - abyss method contains quite a run also (especially for those who use the eastern side of the river). One thing is agreed anyway - the genral store method is absolute now (for anyone who did the quest). \ No more essence stealer noobs!!! \
  9. I made 60 potions last night. Gorak *are* dangerous. Im cb108 with 91 def + super def pot and barrow-dragon armor set. They hit quite often and can inftict up to 14 damage. worse thing is, that they drain some stats - they can lightly lower attack, def and strength (and some other skills too), and they drain also your prayer (though i didnt used it, so it didnt metter). with a load of 15 lobs and super defense potion, I could take an everage of 20 claws per trip, and it takes time.
  10. ok, 1. c (77 atm) 2. I think c (i buy limps and wines of zammy, and sometimes red eggs - but i never-ever buy herbs), and I sell most of my potions for profit. 3. b 4. In lower levels i killed chaos druids, now i dont do it anymore. Im killing aberrant spectures to get both herbs and herb seeds to plant (with garden pie, i can plant up to lantadyme). Most of my herbs im getting from farming. 5. when I killed the chaos druids, I used mainly the agility dungeon. I first killed chaos druid warriors to get some 2nd inds, then moved to the lv13 druids to get more herbs and wf vials. 6. b - skill is far from getting so high. 7. a - yes 8. nope - its slow comparing to the aberrant spectures, and the cost is quite high (runes). 9. herb limit (when killing both chaos druids or aberrant spectures) I identify everything, but takes only ranarr and higher, unless im low on health (happens a lot with the spectures), then I take everything to get a full inventory (if i get spare items, Ill drop the guams, then marentiles, etc).
  11. can anyone post here the speical damages (poison, stat-drain, etc) of monsters in the maze? can any of those monsters can be a real danger to a lv100+ player?
  12. Aberrant specturs: Best herb droppers in rs (their default drop is 1 unid, not gold drop), and excellent herb-seed dropers also. After each slayer task of 140-180 aberrant spectuers I can get large amounts of herblore and farming exp + very nice financial profit. gargoyels are also nice, if im in a mood to do many 3lv clues - they are the best 3lv clue droppers I've ever seen in the game (cant kill nachetials yet, so I am not familiar with them).

  14. Durial and his supporters are a bunch of scums, simple as that. I've read the interview, and Its disguasting. That durial seems like a brainless and violent kid, with a kind of thinking fitting a serial killer. His supporters are not much better then him, and their claims are pathetic. Yes, many people wont return items of another player got killed (though most time I personaly did returned the items) - but they are not the ones who killed him. Yes, many player sometimes think "Oh, i wish I could kill that jerk" (out of wildy) when they encounter an annoying jerk, begger or another guy from that kind - but thinking is one thing, and doing it (not to one player who treated you wrong, but to so many players who did you nothing wrong) is another thing. Both durial and his supporters enjoy to cause pain and grief upon others. True, what was lost were pixels - but with them, weeks of hard work and time investing. pixels or no pixels, its the same scorn and careless aproach to how other people feel/ pixels or no, other people (not pixels, real people) got hurt and suffered - and that scumbag and his supporters dont give a dam about how other feel. People like them are the worst of rs comminity. So as for the main "star" of the event - he deserve every flame and insult. Have your ban, Dureal, and rot with it.

See, all that "looking of a rich bf/gf" or a moron standing for half an hour in the bank typing "needs gf" - Its lame, and is so clear that most of those players simply want to utilize someone rich. But I tend to agree with what was said earlier - If someone falls in such a trick, he/she really deserve it. Its not a real scamming - its gift for "romantic attention" from another player (lame and stupid as it is). And the most important thing: Let jagex first enforce the existing rules. Macroes, hackers, item scammers etc make far more damage then the "need a rich bf/gf" people. Its not recommanded to add another rule for such a problem, when Its already hard to deal with much worse threats.
  16. Hi, As a Herbalist myself (lv75), I am very fond of the Herblore skill, and learned quite a bit about it. In this thread, I will try to suggest new kinds of potion, aimed to reach some goels that can (up to my opinion) improve both the herblore skills and some other aspects in rs, while trying not to break the gameÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s balance (no +50% titan strength potions or +200% chance to find dragon chain brews :-) ). Looking at the herblore skill (and remembering itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a slow and comlicated skill to train), we should be aware to 3 main problems: 1. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Ådead levelsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  17. I fought her with dragon set (no chain - guthan plate instead). As long as my anti-magic prayer lasted, she was barly hitting (1 or 2 damage once a while). But my prayer ran-out *very* fast - im 57 prayer, and it ran out as fast as in the barrow tunnels (yes, i had full prayer when the fight started) then her magic damaged me 18 and 20 very often - I had to waste like 5 pineapple pizza to take her down.
  18. My triangle is slayer-farming-herblore. 1. A trip to slayer tower - kill aberrant spectures till you get 4 herb seeds above toadflex (irit or higer). mush better and faster the master farmer, or any other seed dropper i know. 2. make a quick patches go-round trip (demands ecto-tele, 2 laws and 1 water, and maybe a glory for the belladona patch) to plant/harvest. 3. get the second indigernts for the herbs (newties, red eggs, fungie, etc) for using with the soon-to-be herbs. 4. repeat...

  20. My question is as follows: Are there any Yew and/or magic tress in places that require high-level quests or so for entering (In othere words - a place where low-leves and autoers can't enter) ? I know about the 4 yews in the elven lands - but they seem to be far away from the bank. Are there any other trees in restricted areas?
  21. Go to Kill Basilisks, they drop large amounts of nats (or Cockatrice, if your slayer lv is lower then 40).
  22. No. "Ice cooler" is an item you buy from the slayer master. You dont have to cool or fill it - but it is gone when you use it on the lizard, so you have to buy at least 134 ice coolers (they are cheap and stackable, so they will take only 1 slot in your inv) - but its better to buy more, because sometime you can get mistaken, and use the cooler on the lizard when it have 5hp or more left - so it will be wasted and you will need another cooler on the same lizard. As for ranging: I dont think they are so good for range training. there are no shelter there, and wasting time to collect your arrows in the desert will make you finish your waterskins sooner. Better bring your best melee weapon and kill them as quickly as you can.
  23. I've noticed that though I have high attack stats (86 + super attack potion + whip + other items), I am doing poorly against Iron dragons. On the other hand, when I used a dds stab attack, it hited nice amount of times, though it is supposed to be weaker then a whip. So, my question is: Is there a kind of melee attack that is significantly better then other? Crash attack maybe? stab? Thanks for reading and replying :-)
  24. Im now in lv71 slayer, with 30k exp left till the next level - So obiously, those monsters will be one of my next goals. I've read the information in the website and old threads (writen right after those monsters were released) - but I still have some questions I want to find out (Better safe then sorry :-) ). My char is basicaly a toe-to-toe melee fighter. My current stats are as follows: cb:103, attack 86, defense 86, strength 79, hp 85, prayer 56, magic 73, range 71. As for equipment: my melee custum can get my def to be a bit over +300. while my anti-magic-based costum can get magic defense to 130-140 (I use it mainly to battle aberant spectures with no prayer on). so here are my question: 1. what kinds of attack does they use? Both melee and ice-breath? (means - is their attack method similar to dragons?). How much is their max hit with both? (considering I will wield elemental shield). 2. How can I block the breath? anti-magic prayer or somthing else? 3. Are they capable to drain my stats with their breath? 4. How accurate is their melee attacks? comparing, let's see... to bronze dragons or kalphite guardians (both close to lv140). Thanks for reading and replying :-)

Thanks for the support and comments :-) As for the possibility of high level slayer with low combat stat - its unlikely to happen, though it can be if someone just makes thousands of tasks for the burthop master. In the long run, there is no way around it - high slayer goes with high combat level. When you do tasks, you train combat. Moreover, Slayer will meet sooner or later with many foes with magic-based attack, so training also range level (for dragonhides) and mage (for magic defense) is a must. A Melee-only player who do slayer will be forced to Burthop so many tasks, so It will be nearly impossible for him to get arena key from an high-level slayer master.
