I was bored so thought i would write this out. Its not thourough but i did put some thought into it, if this idea is liked i can go into more detail. This is basically my dream and im not expecting a great feedback INDEX Location and quick description Gladiator types Weapons and Armour Used Beasts,Criminals & special guests Scoring Rewards and Purchases ------------------------------------------------------------------ Location and quick description A colosseum set deep in the desert, (easy to get to by carpet) newly created by romans, where they came from is unknown, but they have been freely welcomed by the egyptians, bandits etc. The romans have a taste for blood and death and have invited everyone from all over RS including the various kings, knights, and mighty beasts some youve never seen before. You will be fighting against all kinds of vermin some criminals, some friends and foe's youve met in the past. If you dont want to take the roman challenge you can challenge a friend or enemy to a duel and use any of the weapons, armour. Everyone will be equal and can only choose from the available weapons to fight with, the choice depends on your score so far. the better the score the better the choice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gladiator types Andabatae Wear helmets without any aperture for the eyes, your fighting blindfolded and using your insticts and sounds to target your enemy Catervarii The name given to player that fight in groups, useful for the high lvl monsters Dimacheri Uses two swords Equites Fights on horseback with a large range of weapons Essedarii Fights from chariot like the Gauls and Britons, best played as partnership Hoplomachi Like the Samnites, but are more heavily armed and wear ocrea on both legs and mail or leather cuirasses. Gladius: Sword - Made of Tempered Steel - short in length and heavy. Due to its weight it packs a punch especially using the stab option. Hasta: lance or spear: The waepon of choice - Perfect for thrusting moves and also for throwing. A shield of any sort can be used as the Hasta requies only one hand to use. iaculum: net - Used perfectly with the Hasta to catch or trap the enemy or enemy's weapon thus making him vulnerable to the Hasta's attack sica: Curved scimitar - Mid range weapon but very fast and accurate, fast swiping moves makes this a great mid range damaging weapon. Armour some armour you'll use galerus: A metal shoulder piece worn as armour that protected the left shoulder of a retarius, since the rearius uses the net in his left arm some form of protection is needed manicae: leather elbow or wrist bands ocrea: metal or boiled leather greave - Used to keep armour away from the knees also provides a small amount of protection and a dagger can be placed in it for emergency use. parma: A small metal round shield - doesn't get in the way of your attacks so it wont effect attack or strength, weak against stabbing or thrusting moves. scutum: large oblong shield - the preferred weapon of a roman due to its size its defence capabilities are almost perfect even against missiles subligaculum: loin cloth mostly to hide your private parts galea: visored helmet - the perfect protection covers most of the whole head even your cheeks Beasts,Criminals & special guests The typical beasts to fight are - Elephants, Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Hippopotamus, Zebras, Rhinoceros, Giraffes, Wild Donkeys. The criminals range from low scum of the earth thiefs to highly skilled and bright experts of crime. Special guests - below are just some you can expect to meet The centaur - Half man half horse, moves fast and uses a bow and arrow Cerberus - The 3 headed guard dog of hades, very strong and agile with a lvl higher than most dragons The Hydra - one of the hardest beasts you'll meet as it has 5 serpent heads each of which can grow back and sometimes in multiples at a time and the Hydras breath is poisonous - this is a team effort beast. Medusa - She has snakes for hair and if you stare at her you'll be turned to stone, luckyly it only lasts for 20 seconds but in that time you'll lose large amounts of str, att, def, she uses a bow with very powerful arrows, if you dont weild a mirror shield you wont last long against her. Scoring Scoring is all based on the higher lvls you fight and the amount of fights you have. Rewards and Purchases If you make it to the end and beat the god of all beasts ( not sure which yet but it will be alot more powerul than the fight pits boss and no safe spots) you will will have a choice of reward from 4 1. - The Ring of Mars (2 charges) - If you die you will keep 2 more of your most valuable items than usual. To recharge no sure yet 2. - The Helmet of Hades (4 charges) - This will make the wearer invisible for a limited time giving you the advantage of killing without being seen. To recharge not sure yet 3. - The Amulet of Cancellation (2 charges) - This will cancel out and block any spells that stop you from teleporting. To recharge not sure yet 4. - Dragon Teeth (1 use) - A pot containing dragons teeth after you scatter the teeth in the ground a varying amount of Skeleton men will rise from the ground and fight for you - each will have random lvl's ranging from 15-45 and only last for between 3 - 6 minutes. The pot needs 50 teeth to be used again, u can kill dragons to obtain more teeth but only dragons in the Colosseum. You can also purchase any of the Gladiator gear and weapons for outside use, some being very powerful and close to barrows, some will rust however and a POH will be needed to repair them or the Blacksmith in the Colosseum will repair for a price. The higher your lvl and point the better the pruchase. This may be a good theme game from a new quest where you discover a band of Romans frozen in time and release them from there hold - to which this game is set up.
