Mining guild is always a nice option. There will almost always be people mining there, but its safer and closer to a bank than the wilderness. You won't be getting constantly attacked, either. Lumby swamp isn't bad, you can use home teleport for a quick teleport back every 30 minutes and the walk itself isn't harsh. Just remember, when you do these things don't wear heavy armour, and run on the trips to the mining place rather than on the way back as you will be carrying alot more weight.

West of Catherby is probably the best place for you currently, that's if you dont want to waste money. Take a hatchet and a knife and cut loads of oaks and then fletch them and either drop/sell at a shop. Do this until you can use willows and do the same. This method takes longer than buying, however you raise two skills and save money :)

I think the main reason they do this, is because it's not always one person who suggests an idea. If they were to thank one person, people would miss out and claim they suggested it etc. You don't need public recognition. If it was your idea, you should feel good that it was taken into consideration. You don't need your name stated to make you feel good about it.

Rank all the way. I'm a totaller through and through. If I make money along the way that is only a gain. I rarely ever do things for the soul purpose of making money, however, I would make money and invest in rares if I were to quit. Money just doesn't do it for me. I would rather have skill capes on my back rather than a party hat on my head :)

Sorry if this is old and if someone has explained this, but no, the 2x nat running world does NOT change. If it does and I am wrong, I can confidently say that 80% of the time it is on World 36. World 36 is my home world and I RC a lot; they are always there :)

Thanks, and no, not yet. Yep :P I am now cutting 20k willows logs which will get me 97 woodcut, then I will burn them :P After that I will probably go back to doing it in 10k increments, I'm not sure.

I enjoy it by setting goals in the skill I like and going all out to complete them. Making friends and racing people is also another great way. There are a lot of ways to enjoy runescape. You've just got to find the one that suits you best :P Minigames, skills, or a combination of both... but whatever one you choose, goal setting is a great aspect of either one.

Oh man I love it when people claim they use to be my friend when I know they weren't. What's even funnier is when randoms add me and then say that their friends were once friends with me >_> I <3 people.

I very good point, I like to hear these things. But your sentence: "Well if a new skill isn't good enough already, we are enlarging the availability in ways to train it!" :P This is what I was wondering about. Do they add new things to improve the skill or could it be that some new updates main goal is to just get people to talk about the skill? A main advertising goal? Like lumberjack outfit for woodcutting? (I mean, it isnt THAT great.. but it sure made woodcutting a hot-topic) I think a lot of the time it is both. I don't really feel like going into exact examples, but yeah, I think a lot of the time the updates are to improve the efficiency (sp?) of training that skill, while at other times it is purely for hyping that particular skill up.

A lot of reasons. Firstly, I'm addicted. I love the competition. Secondly, I have goals... I hate setting goals and not completing them. Goal setting ftw. The friends is another thing of course, even with the loss of competition and completion of goals I can never bring myself to quit.

Oo, I too am close to 1800 total! A congrats in advance my fellow totaller :) 99 woodcut is an excellent goal, one I again am also partaking in. Maybe one day I will be standing next to you doing the emote. Time will tell! Ya I'm bored and that's my long way of saying keep it up :-s
