  1. Can't see me getting 99 rc / comp cape any time soon, quite bored already.
  2. Have never seen that error message myself either, played since 2001. It also seemed shocked, even offended, that you have to subscribe to enjoy most of the skills, what exactly does it think a subscription is for? One of the worst, uninformative reviews I've ever read.
  3. I don't really care about my name being on it or not but what's wrong with a bit of publicity?
  4. Completely agree. Take this scenario from the previous method - Player A (main account) has levelled 90 in all stats legitimately. Player A turns to the dark side and bots to 99 in all remaining stats. Player A is perm banned. Player A quits RS as he/she can't be bothered legitimately levelling to the 90s again. Player A does not return or make a new account. Scenario from new method - Player A (main account) has levelled 90 in all stats legitimately. Player A turns to the dark side and bots to 99 in all remaining stats. Player A is stat reset to 85 in all levels and has to pay $15 if they want their account back. Player A repays the debt, regains their account with 85 in all stats (lower than before botting). Player A doesn't bot again as all they've accomplished is -$15 and lower stats. ------------------------------------------------------- That doesn't affect me or any other players, Jagex (which is a business, people seem to forget that) have profited marginally and retained a player.

    Are you pregnant again?

So I heard scottish internet sucks?

  7. Brilliant topic, thank you very much for posting it. I was overcome with nostalgia seeing the old home page and highscores.
  8. I completely agree with you two. I have no problem with Jagex giving an in game item to those who went, i think it's completely fair and a nice treat. I probably won't be going either though unless around August there are still some tickets left and i find myself with some spare time and money and think what the heck I'll splash out. I've been applying for a few new jobs around the country aswell for my university placement year so i'll have to see how they go first before i spend the money and make a commitment to go. You're welcome, it's not a very interesting screen but I thought I masewell post it and also that what Mod Ian said was funny, he sounded like a spoilt child in the background hehe :P
  9. Kept trying to grab a good screeny with the Orb and Mod Ian kept moving it everytime i got close, he did mention that a KB will be up very soon explaining the 'banners'. So there may be more then one, or a simple mistake. I did grab this screeny though.
  10. Edit: Image removed, but it is real as we now know ;) Now that's not to say this can't be used like you say for a stall or something similar, but I think we can assume it's pretty real and will be in game one way or another.
  11. My opinion on the matter is that many many MMO's do this, and before i get bombarded with comments that RS is different and isn't "WoW", the underlying fundamentals are still the same. I can see why people would be upset if they didn't get the item, but i still don't see that as a reason why Jagex shouldn't implement this as a gift for people who went(are going) to RuneFest. (As that is what I am assuming it will be used for)
  12. Actually comes to a total price of £82.25  You have to select a delivery method, only method available is being emailed the tickets and you print them out, and that costs an extra £2.50, on top of the £4.75 ticketmaster fees. Besides, i won't be ordering until i know where it is. "Secret London Venue" isn't clear enough for me atm, I like to know exactly what i'm doing, where i'm going, how much it's going to cost me etc. etc.
  13. Jerk stole my joke! I was gonna make a fake. Any way, short of Hollywood-FBI-grade programs, I doubt it will be worth trying. It just seems too blury. [hide=Blur][/hide] OMFG I laughed so hard at that  Haha now that is brilliant =D>
  14. I think they should release some more detailed information on what exactly will be going on ASAP, especially what venue it's at as I need to know that before i even think of purchasing a ticket due to booking accomodation.
  15. It's closer to 2 years of membership  I was expecting £40 or thereabouts, the few people i've spoken to where saying around £30, I would have been happy with that. £75 is really quite steep if you don't live a small car journey away, and I'm still not sure exactly what I'll be getting for my money except the chance to play RS and talk to a few developers face to face and watch an award ceremony for a few videos? Then food and drink will obviously be expensive. I wonder if they'll throw in a years membership or some other goodies, something that won't cost the company a lot but will make me feel a whole lot better about spending £75.
  16. Sounds like a good laugh to me, it's a few hours train ride that i'm used to taking so it wouldn't be too much of a ball ache to get down :) The inclusion of drink is a bonus, i don't think anyones intentions are to get absolutely bungalowed but it would be nice to take the edge off you know. Sharing a room in premier inn or the likes (two single beds) and get a return ticket with a railcard and it's not all that expensive. Just need the event ticket prices now
  17. Shocked to say the least. Look to my avatar for my IRL expression. I've been using RS fan sites for many many years, normally a mix between this, runevillage (they had awesome drop parties way back :P), and runehq. And i know this is my personal opinion but the forums and community of Tip is quite simply amazing. The content is just as excellent as the platinum sites aswell. There's nothing missing from Tip and no reason it shouldn't be platinum.
