  1. Thanks for the suggestion :) I was actually thinking green next too :) Here's a larger version for you if you want :P [hide=Large picture - 2000 x 822][/hide]
  2. Nice idea, thank you :) I could also try varying the height of the cooking baster.
  3. When playing RuneScape, how often do you look up the people that you come across? And what causes you to decide to look them up? Their level, their outfit, etc.? I look up people quite a bit. Usually if they have a cool username or are wearing a skill cape that I like.
  4. Just turned 18
  5. Probably just Boots of Lightness, a Glory Amulet and a Dueling Ring. Almost everything else changes. I do wear my 'regular clothes' a lot though.
  6. Walls of Jericho Wild Cherry
  7. Thanks for posting this :) I also think it's important to remember that the report post function exists and regular users shouldn't take things into their own hands. By that I mean, I see a lot of people quote an off-topic or spammy post and say things like, "Another useless post from . Way to contribute to the thread!" Honestly how is THAT contributing anymore than what the first person spammed in the first place? It makes much more sense to keep the thread on-topic by reporting the post in question and letting the moderators handle it.
  8. If I used a longer exposure, it would just be a big blur and the drop probably wouldn't be noticeable at all. Rivers and waters do look well with a long exposure, but photographing drops and splashes is really for high speed photography. I have my camera on a tripod connected to a remote. I have a cooking baster hanging over a bowl of water and I fill up the cooking baster and let it drip while I use the remote to snap pictures.
  9. Zooming in more is hard :( I end up missing a ton of shots. They would only work well for pictures like #2, maybe #3, and #5. But then I'd miss every picture like #4 because they'd get cut off :( If you can't afford a macro lens, you could always get a set of Kenko extension tubes. They won't give you the image quality or quite the same magnification as a macro lens, but they're a few hundred dollars cheaper :) ------------ Thank you so much for your comments everyone!
  10. If you want to rant about certain forum rules or issues or if you have a suggestion, then Forum Updates & Suggestions is the place to do it. Unfortunately we don't have a forum specifically for forum rants, so Forum Updates & Suggestions is really your best and only option. In that very forum we have a thread suggesting that the Rants forum is expanded to RuneScape AND Tip.it rants. Feel free to contribute to the thread: The Rant forum -- a suggestion. Hope that helps :)
  11. Thanks for commenting dave :) Blue does seem more natural but I think it gets boring after a while. I had never experimented with multiple colours before and I wanted to try it out. I use a Canon 450D (XSi) DSLR camera and a 100mm 2.8 Macro lens. You're right that more angles would be cool to experiment with. Any ideas? Other than just making them off-center, I don't really know what else I can do. I guess it would be cool to get 'under' the splash more, but that would require me to make some major modifications to my set up, which I don't feel like doing just yet  Thanks for commenting :)
  12. Sorry but Off-Topic is for thought-provoking discussion only. You might be able to get away with a post like this in Forum Games, sort of like a caption contest thing.. but it's kind of pushing it. And you'd probably be better off posting the actual image instead of just linking to it. Either way, it doesn't belong here.
  13. Today I got a lot of unique shapes and I couldn't help but upload almost all of them :wall: I took 111 shots, limited it down to 44 for iPhoto, then limited that down to 8 for deviantArt and limited THAT down to 5 for Tip.it. The photos are yellow food colouring in a bowl of water with red food colouring being dropped into it (which is why the droplets are red). Towards the end the water turned orange though, which is why the last one is all orange. [hide=5 Images]#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 [/hide]
  14. Please do not bump old threads in Help & Advice even if you are contributing to the topic. I'm sure the author of this thread has found their answer after four months.
  15. I'm sorry!!! :ohnoes: At least it would make you money, right? I totally know that feeling though, it happens to me all the time. Thank you very much, KingDodongo :) 99 prayer is a lot of fun. If I get 99 prayer (which I hope I will), I'd have it at 80 melees too haha! Unite!! Thank you for your support :) ------------------------- I'm sure most of you have seen, but I wrote an article about construction for the Tip.it Times which was published last week. If you haven't already done so, you can read it here: Could You Go From Riches to Rags? I have been pretty lazy on the nats this week, but I'm hoping to make up for it this weekend and next week. Today I have made 4k or 5k nats so far, and then I took a break to do some photography. Right now I'm converting 44 photos from RAW to JPEG, which takes ages. Once they're done I'll probably spend another hour post-processing them and uploading my favourites to deviantArt and then I'll get back to runecrafting!! I'm hoping to make at least 16k more today. I also bought 7k more essence, so I'm sitting at 10k right now
  16. Congratulations on 90 fishing!!!  That's fabulous!!
  17. I think the second one looks cool  I know absolutely nothing about fractals so unfortunately I can't really provide you with any suggestions/constructive criticism :ohnoes: I guess one thing I can say is that they almost look... broken up I guess? For example, evil_mumm_ra's looks like a bunch of lines strung together, whereas yours almost looks like a bunch of thiny dots strung together. Does that make sense? I don't know if that was the look you were going for or just how the program works (because again, I know nothing about fractals), but I personally don't really think I like it. They just look very 'speckled' I guess. I suck at describing this :wall:
  18. Don't worry about it :) I'm sure a lot of people have made that mistake.
  19. I'm sorry to hear that :( I can totally relate though. This has happened to me more times than I can count. I vote mining because if you're going to be an awesome smith, you need to mine your own rune! (hint hint, nudge nudge: get 85)
  20. Here's a Pyramid Plunder guide that might help you: :: Pyramid Plunder Guide - Fastest Experience ::. It may be a tad outdated but hopefully you can extract some good information from it. And yes, buy a Sceptre. You can always sell it when you're done.
  21. Locked - old news :)
  22. Not all moderators have the ability to remove oversized/inappropriate signatures. If you report a bad signature and a local or global moderator deals with the report, they essentially have to record it for a super moderator or administrator to deal with it. So it can sometimes take a few days before a super moderator or administrator gets around to it, unless they're the one who close the report in the first place. Does that make sense? And yes, you should always report large signatures that you see :)
  23. Well a lot of threads in Off-Topic start off as simple discussions but turn into powerful, long debates.
  24. This has actually been suggested a few times. Honestly, Off-Topic pretty much IS its own debate forum for non-RuneScape related topics. If we created an "Off-Topic Debate Club," there would be nothing left in the original Off-Topic except a few "what is your favourite..." threads. Off-Topic already has threads on the first page going back to Monday (three days ago) AND two sub-forums which already divide the discussion. I don't think we need to split things up anymore.
