Mosque at Ground Zero
Dude I don't even respond to your jibber jabber anymore. First you're a Muslim, then a Christian, then a Christian-Muslim. It's whatever. My reasoning is my reasoning, I posted it incase you were curious, not a need for validation.

Mosque at Ground Zero
Why don't you want them there? Yea, I can't tell if I'm being baited. But I'll take it. Even if only on purely religion reasons: I'm Christian, I wouldn't support the building of any other religious center. Don't confuse that with hate of the religion, while the two are usually mixed in. I don't hate Muslims, while I only have two Muslim friends, I welcome them. But they support a competing religion, it's like supporting the opposing foot ball team in Hicksville Tennessee. People from up north (atheists/agnostics in this situation) will say what's the big deal, it's JUST A SPORT. However, to the ones down south (generally religious people) it's life or death. Now I'm not saying I would ever protest it, thats just in bad taste, and lets face it, gets nowhere. But if they asked for monetary donations, or if I had to vote, I'd politely decline. On other reasons, again, I'll re-iterate. It's in bad taste. No one is denying the terrorists were Muslim, and Islam-motivated. And, no one is denying that they were extremists, and the majority of Muslims aren't like that. But here's the clincher, they are still Muslim. It's simply disrespectful, do they have the right to build there? As long as they get all of their permits approved, fine by me. But c'mon, it's disrespectful to the ones who lost their lives, no matter how unrelated. so, following a Christian parallel here: Christianity is responsible for the IRA, thus no new churches should be built in Ireland, where countless IRA terrorist attacks in the name of Christianity have taken place during the last 50 years? you're blaming someone who isn't responsible for the attacks. Islam isn't a "religion of hate" just like Christianity isn't propagandist and technology-hating (Amish comes to mind here). I think you need to rationalize your anger here, and blame those who are to blame, not just someone that's easy to blame for something they're clearly not involved in. There's no anger, and I said they weren't involved in my own post. wat. And you know what? if that's the case (which I know it is) maybe they shouldn't have any Christian churches built.

No I'm not. They have a right to build there. I'm simply saying I, as well as others, don't want them there. Two different things, by far.

WHAT THE HELL!!!!!
idgaf about it, thanks for the "protip" but its a rant forum and get over it, im here to rant and thats just what i did so thank you for your input sir thank you. as far as Saru If you lack knowledge that means you cannot complete the designated job correctly so in return you would be incompetent as doing said job so thanks again. I would point out the lack of reading comprehension, but then hey, that's trolling, right?. So naturally I will say your welcome, and good luck with your endeavors, I'm sure it'll be truly fantastic. ;)

no. I said if it truly is random (your side of the story) why can't they go somewhere else? I don't think its random at all, and a lot of people agree with me as well.

WHAT THE HELL!!!!!
Oh, I wasn't trying, hon. Define: Ignorancy No definitions were found for ignorancy. hmmmm Define: Ignorance the lack of knowledge or education Ignorance is a state of being uninformed (lack of knowledge). The word "ignorant" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware and is often used as an insult. "Ignoramus" is commonly used in the UK and Ireland as a name of someone who is overwhemingly ignorant. Ignorance should be distinguished from stupidity, although both can lead to "unwise" acts. Also, if important information is available, one may fail to acquire it due to lack of intelligence (not realizing its importance, or not understanding it). Define: Ignorant uneducated in general; lacking knowledge or sophistication; "an ignorant man"; "nescient of contemporary literature"; "an unlearned group incapable of understanding complex issues"; "exhibiting contempt for his unlettered companions" uneducated in the fundamentals of a given art or branch of learning; lacking knowledge of a specific field; "she is ignorant of quantum mechanics"; "he is musically illiterate" unaware because of a lack of relevant information or knowledge; "he was completely ignorant of the circumstances"; "an unknowledgeable assistant"; "his rudeness was unwitting" None of those meaning incompetent. Define: Incompetent legally not qualified or sufficient; "a wife is usually considered unqualified to testify against her husband"; "incompetent witnesses" not qualified or suited for a purpose; "an incompetent secret service"; "the filming was hopeless incompetent" bungling: showing lack of skill or aptitude; "a bungling workman"; "did a clumsy job"; "his fumbling attempt to put up a shelf" not doing a good job; "incompetent at chess" someone who is not competent to take effective action incapable: not meeting requirements; "unequal to the demands put upon him"

Mosque at Ground Zero
They changed the name as soon as the unfortunate implications were pointed out. The fact that it is so close to the towers means absolutely nothing at all. You could just as well say, "But the fact that it's so close to the McDonald's is where my issues lie." Ground Zero has zero relation to this building aside from its proximity. It's just a random unrelated place it happens to be close to. Ok. I wasn't aware they changed the name, so I guess I'll concede that point. *shrugs* But if it's so random, why can't they choose a different place? They have no automatic "right" to build there. They have a right to build somewhere, but not there.

ok well for me, and everyone I know irl who has an issue with it, we can all compartmentalize. I completely understand that they may not be the terrorists itself. But the fact that its so close to the towers, and calling it a Cordoba house is where my issues lie. The Cordoba house? The [bleep]?

Apocalyptica: The 7th Symphony
7th Symphony is the seventh studio album by the Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica. It was released on August 20, 2010 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, August 23, 2010 in the rest of the world, and August 24, 2010 in the U.S. and Canada. Released three years after their previous album Worlds Collide, Apocalyptica has stayed with the tradition of having 4 tracks with featured vocalists, the remaining tracks will all be instrumental. Dave Lombardo of Slayer will once again be featuring on drums, on the track entitled "2010". The first single "End of Me" with Gavin Rossdale of Bush on vocals, was premiered on Finnish Radio Ylex on June 7, 2010. It received radio play June 28, 2010[2], and its release date is set on August 6, 2010 in Germany[3]. The track "Bring Them to Light" was originally written for Worlds Collide, but both Duplantier and Apocalyptica were unhappy with the original, and so they decided to re-work the track, and re-record it for their next studio album[4]. The album is available for presale on their official website in two versions. The original album contains 10 songs as opposed to the limited edition which includes 12 songs (additional tracks being "Through Paris in A Sportscar" and "The Shadow of Venus"). The limited edition also includes a bonus DVD with filmed acoustic recordings from a session at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, recorded on June 4, 2010. The iTunes bonus track "Spiral Architect" is a cover of Black Sabbath and will also be featured in the free CD available with the September 2010 issue of Metal Hammer. 1. "At the Gates of Manala" 7:03 2. "End of Me" 3:29 3. "Not Strong Enough" 3:36 4. "2010" 4:32 5. "Beautiful" 2:19 6. "Broken Pieces" 3:55 7. "On the Rooftop with Quasimodo" 5:00 8. "Bring Them to Light" 4:42 9. "Sacra" 4:22 10. "Rage of Poseidon" 8:49 Copied straight from Wikipedia. What do you guys think of them? I first learned of them through their renditions of Metallica. While some of their lyrics are pathetically emo, I love their music in general. This new album, is not genius, nor even outstanding as they put it. But it's still a very nice album. The end of me is a really stereotpyical song, and a poor choice for a single. I really enjoy On the Rooftop with Quasimodo, Sacra, Rage of Poseidon, and despite the E-mo style [bleep]y lyrics, Broken Pieces. Love Apocalyptica? Hate Apocalyptica? Don't know Apocalyptica? Well here, have a listen! (My favorite part at the 1 minute mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-igzl1twwk This is a good song imo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnpXB6O6RDY And of course, a metallica one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x97f-_y93a0 I woulda posted this on the 20th, but I assumed someone would have posted by now o.O

Glenn Beck and a call for religious rebirth
At the graph comment I was more interesting in it going back up around 1936 or so. But here's the thing where we may disagree, and agree. While I'm a bit more liberal than I am conservative (Probably about 60-40), I really dislike Republicans. However, I do appreciate not [developmentally delayed]ed conservatives, which you are correct, are a lot more rare than people make it out to be. The main reason I'm a conservative is mainly, because I just don't really like being told what to do from the gov't, so I like a smaller government, and I think that may be the defining quality. However *though unrelated* most liberal policies I agree with the ideology of them, but not the real world application of them. Like Universal health care(and before you crucify me, I'm aware socialism is for extreme liberals, but since most conservatives lump them together I will just for effect), and socialism I like both in thought, I mean I do agree healthcare should be free. But... I just don't trust the government's handling of the system. And for socialism, again while even for "extreme" liberals, I agree in a sense of a community in harmony where everyone is paid the same, and no one owes anyone anything. But Im my opinion, those both assume the good in people, while I tend to assume the bad in people who would abuse both systems.
