The gem is supposed to be a dragonstone, hence the purple theme. I made this in GIMP, while trying to learn. Thanks to Ard Choille for the 2nd gem image. Comments, suggestions?

ALL of it was on flax. I've spun close to 15k bow strings. Only 5k flax left.

Prices on party hats are already higher than they were before construction - significantly higher. My guess is the folks who sold their hats got tired of construction and now want their hats back.

Dr Elephant, nice post. I find myself agreeing with most of your points. I place myself to the right on economic as well as social issues (another topic for another day), and welfare honestly makes me uncomfortable. However, the conclusion that I've reached is that viewing taxes as stealing just doesn't work. Here's my reasoning. Granted this is an Amerocentric view - but since that's where I live, it's metric I used. It's rather simple. Being in a democracy means that sometimes you lose. Sometimes you don't get your way. Fair has nothing to do with it. One thing that lots of Americans seem to have forgotten is that if you don't win, you get to go around again in just a few years. It's unfortunate. All of the Democrats who throw out the "Bush isn't MY president" really don't understand what they're saying. So, if you don't like welfare, vote to have it removed or lessened. Congress has the right to tax us - it's spelled out in our contract, the Constitution. They also have the right to spend it. So, vote the buggers out if you don't like the policies. Or, you always have the right to vote with your feet. Personally, I think that there are much more important things to combat in America than welfare, and I will vote in such a way that increases the chance of change. Of course, this means I vote for people that I don't 100% agree with - heck, I may not even 50% agree with them. I guess in the end, I don't think government welfare is the best solution. Does it waste money? Sure. But better to waste than not give it to the people who really need it. This was kinda rambling, but I'm tired.

Rares aren't going away in RS2, you can count on that. That would be like taking hundreds of millions out of someone's bank. Imagine if someone hacked your account and took all your good stuff away. That's the same idea you're working with. I have a party hat that I paid 80+ million for - and taking it away because some baby whines about it isn't fair to me. The baby gains nothing, but I lose millions. Sound fair? Then you're saying hacking is fair - because the ONLY reason you care about being hacked is that someone takes your stuff. Little babies need their pacifiers back in.

Listen to the 64 bit Nintendo system, it is wise. Plus it has Ocarina of Time.

Once the initial craze is over, the deflation will slow and reverse. Sure, there will still be people working on POH, but the race for highest stats will be long over. My guess is that within a month, we'll see partyhats start to rebound.

Of course, 85 is the plan. I'm too busy working other things at the moment. ;) Plus, I think I like farming being tied with them, and farming is slow.
