What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
Just completed Age of mythology for the first time, after owning it for 7+ years (i think) That last level was a killer, had to restart twice, the enemy just kept attacking so often and with so many units and heroes.

[Spoilers] Stargate Universe
Well she is one of the first to go, so if in the timeline that things go ok they don't get the antidote fast enough, she may die.

[Spoilers] Stargate Universe
I think it sent them pretty far back in time. So it was probably Dr. Rush's or Lt. Scott's remains that were found. That's how I explained it to myself anyway. :P I'm not a big fan of time travel in TV series, cause usually the plot ends up really confusing. My friends and I agree that there needs to be a recurring enemy, like the Ori and the Wraith were. It seem to be picking up pretty good since the first episode though, in my opinion. I agree, those remains would have been Rush's. He jumped backwards in time through the stargate and the kino went with him. Not sure how far back, but long enough for his body to decay. I hope Chloe does stay dead, i think it adds some realism (if you can have that in a sci-fi) to have people die.

Earth Eternal - Open Beta
So far for me, at level 25, I have barely had to grind at all. There are so many quests giving so much exp that you rarely have to just go out and kill for levels. And the quests are not "kill 100 of x" they are much more structured, and if you do have to kill something, the highest i have come across is 20. Mosts quests are gathering items, delivering things to other NPC's or killing bosses.

First Tip.It FunOrb Tournament - First Round
It could take a lot of arranging, and i don't really want to have t force somebody into it. But by all means, if somebody wants to watch a fight and give a third view it is fine.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Maybe there is actually true demand for party hats? Remember they were at these levels pre-restrictions.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
That argument is null Ravian. It can be said that GWD is all randomness and luck, yet the best gear comes from there? The reason the mini-game currently serves no purpose is because it does not have rewards, which is the whole point of this thread. Why is it hard for people to comprehend that people can get the best gear in rs after 30h of GWD, but are nothing worthwhile at all after 500+ hours? It is unfair to say the least. And ravian, do you not think it is hard to complete the champions challenge? You may have a few you have come across in GWD by chance, but getting the rest is truly not so easy.

NASA Launching Spacecraft at the Moon
Oil there would also mean much easier access to fuels for future rockets, meaning they would need to carry less there, and would not need to carry it for further missions, so not just powered by greed, but by usefulness too. But there isn't any there...

Earth Eternal - Open Beta
Earth Eternal is a full Browser Based MMO. This isn't the usualy browser mmo which is text based with the odd graphical movement. This Is a full, General style (WoW style you could say) MMO which you can play in your browser. I'm not very good at giving information on a game, but I will try to give as much as possible in this post. It has very recently moved into open beta, and is still having updates with in-game content coming fairly fast, as well as fairly frequest bug fixes. http://www.eartheternal.com/ Features: The time of Man has passed. The great achievements of humankind have been lost to antiquity or reclaimed by Mother Earth, leaving fresh ground for the ancient Beasts from which Man descended to return to Earth and contend with Demons, Faeries, Dragons, Gods, and Titans of old. Deep, original storyline. Set in a high-fantasy universe that combines real-world history, legend, and myth with original creations, Earth Eternal incorporates a blend of original fiction, mythologies from Norse to Egyptian, and classic fairy tales into an epic, sweeping story. Earth Eternal Lore The lore of Earth Eternal is incredibly detailed and covers hundreds of thousands of years, ranging from the Titan-dominated Lost Ages to the creation and destruction of Mankind to the present-day Age of Beasts. Vast 3D Landscape. Earth Eternal's large, handcrafted world, based on a very fictionalized version of Earth, provides plenty of room to explore. You'll find lush forests, barren deserts, snowy mountains, underground dungeons and caves, murky swamps, seaside villages, and more. Classic Combat EE's combat system rewards both individual and group play. It involves some level of auto-attacking as well as individually activated abilities. No matter what combination of abilities players have taken, you'll build up 'melee charges' and 'magic charges' with certain abilities and then use those charges to unleash the proverbial hounds on your enemies (who are legion). Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy0x-BBnxRw As it is browser based, it only takes a few minutes to register an account and start playing which is definately the games biggest selling point. I urge you to at least give it a go if you are in to MMO's. Please however, don't expect It to be bug free and of WoW standard, it is a free game (with a credit shop) and has to be kept small due to the minimal download. The community at the moment in the game is the best part. It is incredibly small and incredibly friendly. If you ask for help you will get it, and I have yet to see any arguments or general annoying people. It's also fairly easy to rise to the top, I personally have been playing fairly casually for around 2 weeks, currently level 24, but ranked 91st in total.

Dragon Age: Origins
Only 35 hours? I expected more from the successor to baldurs gate, even if it isn't a squeal, it is made by the right people to make it a much longer game. I hope it would be at least 50 if you had done all of the side quests.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
I don't see how i shot myself in the foot there at all  The reward I said was only an example of an item that would be a nice little reward for those who want to do the champions challenge, but would not make people who have no interest in the mini-game strive to get it. It is a bonus for completing it, but would not make a load of idiotic people with no interest in the challenge waste their time doing it.,
-
Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
So basically, you want the reward for doing 500+ hours of playing, to be no better than anything else in game? What gives people who have done 30 hours of GWD or TD's to buy the best gear, any right over those who do this to have the best gear? The gear or reward given should be better than anything in the game currently, but as i say, it won't be a game-breaker, just slightly better as a reward, but not a forced task. Why do you stubbornly refuse to comprehend that making something that is better than everything else is inherently game breaking, and inherently forces people to aim for it? It really is pretty self-explanatory. The reason I feel there shouldn't be such a reward for it is that I feel that the minigame shouldn't work like this in the first place, no single minigame should require 500 hours, (or indeed the 1200+ hours predicted in the future), of playing time to complete, for obvious reasons. A reward that is slightly better than what is currently out there would not be a game-breaker, and only those who are incredibly stupid or have too much time on their hands would waste 500 hours getting it. It would purely be a reward for those who are doing the challenge to complete it, not going for it for the reward.

I am personally not arguing it should be game breaking, or even still worthwhile, just something. A Helm which can be combined and used by rangers mages and mellee and slightly stronger than all that currently exists would be a good example. It would not be worth the time getting, but would be something for those who do. Maybe even something purely cosmetic such as your name on a board outside, or inside the guild.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
I can easily argue that it's a good idea. It is a reward for people who have put in the effort of completing the mini-game. That is it, pure and simple. In basic, you are saying everything that takes a long time should give no rewards? That is ludicrous. With a task like this, nobody is being forced to do it, it is a reward for those who want to put in the effort to do it. It is unfair to say that they can have no reward for doing so (I count the minute exp currently given as no reward) It is very luck based, but so is everything in runescape. Should we not give hilt drops at GWD because player A can get it in half an hour, where as player B can take 50 hours? No, it is the basis of the game.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
The skill comes in those having the determination to stick to it. I could just as easily say that all other things in RS which give big rewards should not give them in the same wave. And nobody is 'forcing' you to do it, unless you are one of those players who will negate fun just to get an item, which is really something you should not do.

Champions' Challenge - more than meets the eye?
I don't think its a bad idea to add better rewards, but Jagex don't seem to want to add good rewards for the mini-games that take much much much longer than others (Cw Deco, Chompy Hats etc). They seem t have a trend of adding the good rewards to mini-games that take short amounts of time, and leave the much less useful, prestigious rewards to the games that can take more than 10x more play time to complete. Briante, your calculations are wrong. Jard isn't talking about giving it to people who currently have the 15 scrolls, but those who eventually would have gotten all 30. This means that 7.5m would me 15m to start, and he himself has been incredibly lucky with his low kill counts. Factor in that you get much less than 40k/h, on enemies such as imps and goblins you can struggle to make 20k/h, you would probably end up playing 400-500 hours at least. I think it would be a good idea to give something worthwhile, maybe an item or an armour piece that is incredibly strong, un-tradeable but still costs GP to buy from the champions guild, such as a 'champions helm' giving a massive strength bonus and defence. Would be unusable in PVP, but very useful vs NPC's. That is the main point of the reward imo, to be very good vs NPC's.

Unexpected consequences
My best guess is that this is just a stress test of the RSC servers to see if they can handle the kind of traffic they might encounter when they re-launch the RSC server fully. It is a good way to see if after all these years they need replacing. They are going to be changing RSC up a bit when it is fully re-introduced, so any RWT at the current time will be pointless in a few months. I'm not overly sure how many of these regular servers are staying open, but they aren't keeping this open to everybody forever. And i'd count it as RWT.
