That is such a good game. Unlike most other games, the cities you build actually look like they fit in the landscape, and the detail when you zoom right in is so unique.

Yeah, modern games would be too much for this laptop. I'm not really sure what it could run effectively, but the benchmark i would give is that it runs rollercoaster tycoon 2 perfectly, but struggles with RS SD on minimum options. I've been looking at 'Gothic', not sure if it will be any good though.

I agree with you. I've always found barrows to be great money. It's very reliable as you make average money even without getting items. The items I've always seen as bonuses. It is always fun to go there with 99 defence and no prayer tank dharok. People are always so scared of him, once you conquer the fear, he is just a [kitty]cat.

I'm not sure who to give it to. It is Toca Touring Car championship, the very first game. Toca Racedriver 1 would be the fourth game in the series, so technically Jaziek is closer, but i'm not sure if killerwatt meant the very first game or not.

I can't really understand the whole argument for Genesis. Maybe it is an American thing, because from an early age here in the UK, evolution and the big bang have been taught as fact and genesis as a solid fiction. Maybe it is just the British way of thinking, hell, we have Darwin on our money. To me genesis is so illogical, we may as well just say it was all done by aliens. I will say that I believe there may be a higher power somewhere, but I do not believe everything was created by it/they. Who to believe, a thousand year old book, made by people who at the time thought the world was flat, translated over the ages numerous times but has almost no proof, or scientists, in the modern world, who have been able to explore the mysteries of particles and the universe for years. It isn't a tough choice, even if it does leave the world a bit empty.

I feel really wimpy about being scared by the moomins, but certain things like this really scared me at that age, and still would if I saw it in a dark alley:

The resource economy (when not being manipulated) usually revolves in a very slow and often year long cycle. Resources dry up, price rises due to demand. People see higher prices so decide to gather said resource, price drops.

For me, a lot of the cartoons and shows I watched as a child were not even from the 90's, they were much older. Things like Top cat, Tom & Jerry, the Smurfs, all much older than the 90's. I guess that is what happens when you have an older brother to introduce you to that kind of show. Because of my brother, I was very much a child of the 80's, even though I was born in 1990. Bananaman, he man, Dangermouse (so funny even today!), Garfield etc. Did anybody see the moomins? Personally they actually scared the living hell out of me as a child, i'm not sure why, but i hated that program for that fact.

I'm looking into buying an RPG game for my laptop while here at University. It needs to be fairly basic as my laptop isn't the most powerful machine, and also needs to be fairly cheap, preferably under £20. But it still needs to be a good game of course. I am considering buying the Baldurs gate 4 in 1 box set. I own the sequel, but I want to play through the first game before really getting into it. However, it seems as if the original if brought alone would not work on Vista which my laptop runs, as it is such an old game, forcing me to buy the 4 in one, and ending up with two copies of the sequel. Or are there any other good RPG's out there which have low requirements, and would still last a fair amount of time?

FYI closing that poll tomorrow, but looks like it will be that i will set a deadline for the games to be finished, and leave it to the people who are facing each other to arrange their game and post the result here.

Man this thread is a big spoiler for me. I think it is shown in the Us either Friday or Saturday? But here in the UK it is on a Tuesday night, wich means when i come here over the weekend i get all the spoilers having forgotten you guys are all ahead on me.
