  1. Your points seem to contradict each other. If you can't trade any of the items worth over 100k, and they cannot be attained through death by others, where exactly is the "vast" effect on the economy? Especially considering how incredibly rare they seem to be. Vast effect because these untradable items will now be making their way into the game as well making the untradable version less desirable for those who own these items. Does it really make sense that a divine should be available to players with these lucky rolls? This is a stupid update. From the looks of it however, anything over 5k in value is incredibly rare. the forums have only had a single picture of a 'lucky' drop, and that wasn't in first person either. You probably have as much chance of a rich friend quitting and giving you their items as you do getting one of the rare items. It's all a little bit of fun, but won't have a huge impact as far as I can see.

Been having so much fun on this game. Coming from CSS, it feels very similar in terms of mechanics except the enemies have bigger heads so easier kills haha. I've been playing the patient game on most maps, taking my time digging massive tunnels and taking the enemy intel from right under their noses. If you dig one block underneath the intel, you can grab it without exposing yourself. I've been turning into a tunnelling rat, totally surprising the enemies at every turn. I just wish I could screenshot the scale of my tunnels, but they are underground so wouldn't really work haha.
  4. Good. Freaking. Luck. Jagex. No offence but they can change the colors, swap positions, change coordinates, alter messages... There is and always will be a way to beat their system. They think they can do better jobs then companies like PunkBuster or HackShield in terms of anti-cheat, yet can rarely even produce bug-free content. Been saying all along that there's still ways to bot, still methods available and that it was just time until someone found them. Jac did it, but he was simply first in line. Now, other bot developers have started to catch on and injection has returned. They were confident they broke injection and reflection for good and were promising to finally tackle screen scraping (Again, good luck) and one has already made a reappearance. Sorry, but my money is not on Jagex winning this war - although I'd prefer they did. There's a system and a pattern to everything. Even if Jagex does another nuke, developers will be more aware, caught less off-guard, and most likely be able to rebuild their clients in less time. Sure this one took some months (Although screen scraping never left), but I doubt the next will take long to beat. Unfortunately, I kind of trust the opinion of somebody who managed to actually get a good bot up and running after Jagex's sweep in being confident about their removal than somebody who didn't not being confident. Your pessimism is just annoying at this stage. Jagex know bots will never be 100% gone, but they are doing their best at getting rid of most of them and making the game better for everybody else. Carry on being sour about it while everybody else is happy if you want. I actually think that your last statement is wrong. It took them a long time to re-establish after the last nuke, and if this one is even more comprehensive (as it is going for more types of bots) then the chances are it could take just as long, if not longer to get bots up and running again. By that time, Jagex could have another sweep ready to go. I see bots on the back foot here, not Jagex.

I would love a TIF server if enough people were to play this game. It's such a fun experience.

I actually played for a few minutes, but It's a bit confusing. I couldn't quite work out the objective of the game due to there being no actual instructions. That said, it was incredibly fun. It reminded me a bit of the hillbreak maps on CSS but on a much larger scale. Some of the maps were truly impressive. I might play a little more later tonight.

Downloading now, but I can't play until tomorrow due to having work to do :(
  8. So how would it be implemented? Would it be a section of the forums like the gallery where you can select videos, or would it simply be a forum where topics are posted with a link to a video?
  9. But define a moderate Christian? Protestant, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican? Those are just the main categories off the top of my head, then break them down into even smaller groups within them. There could be over a hundred slightly different versions of Christianity out there. All of them believing slightly different things, going about their faith in slightly different ways. some will believe in one part, while another not. some may practice in one way, another not. This is not even counting those who only slightly believe in the teachings of Christianity but don't actively practice it. There is no such thing as a moderate Christian in reality, because Christianity is not a solidly structured organism.
  10. The problem here is that things vary so wildly, especially when taking into account that there are so many different arms of Christianity. Just as there is no one way politicians act and feel, there is no one way a Christian acts and feels.
  11. I'm surprised it ended. It was smart business sense and hurt nobody (although people still manage to whine about it). I think this could be another case of a good idea shot down by whiners on the RSOF.
  12. You just don't understand unfortunately. Belief is belief. It is not a rational thing, not logical, it cannot be quantified and measured, it is simply belief. One thing you seem to miss in your thinking is those who have converted to an alternate faith. They have not grown up with it, not been indoctrinated from an early age, but have, mostly as an adult, come into contact with a religion and simply believed it is right. I don't think you will ever be able to fully debate religion unless you come at it with an open mind. The amount of times on these forums people have been in despair at your arguments show exactly that. You seem to not understand what religion at at it's core, therefore cannot legitimately argue anything about it.
  13. Nice blog. I'm actually quite intrigued by it, as I think it's going to be the first proper blog from day 1 of somebody playing that I know of, as it normally takes people a while before they start using external websites. I wish you the best of luck.
  14. Could they possibly be tracking the IP of the accounts? If on a members or even a long-time F2p account they have your last IP registered and you create a new account with that, I could see them stopping the trial. Would possibly be there toreduce RWT and botting accounts being mass created.
  15. Personally I find using both Microsoft Security essentials and Malwarebytes keeps things rather secure. I'd recommend downloading both of them as they are both free and have incredibly good reputations.
  16. What do you mean by the third timeline? There has always been the ability to theoretically open up a third timeline if you die, but it's implied that it never happens.
  17. I would say immediately don't let Runescape tarnish games for you. Runescape has some incredibly good things that you will enjoy and are as good as any game out there, but there are also a lot of things that could easily turn anybody away from online games, such as scammers and people who will flame (have a go at you) for the most simple of actions. I do hope you enjoy Runescape though, as it can be very fun. I'd also suggest if you want to get into games, online games are not the only route (although often the cheapest). As you have a PC/Laptop, I would suggest trying some single player games such as Fable 1/2 as they are incredibly good games and while being fairly easy, have some very unique content.
  18. I actually think the cape looks pretty cool. If it bends on the hinges it will look great to me, but if it's solid, then it would just look off. Haven't seen it in movement yet.
  19. BBC news this morning said there was nothing suspicious, but they don't have the toxicology results yet.
  20. what the [bleep] wouldn't think you being a uni student and a historian would say this the biggest difference being american history (and the english language) has been exhaustively documented, discussed and covered -- and is pretty much asserted and based in fact whilst the other party is spinning fictions (Coming from another history University student) At the same time, teaching a specific countries history over others can cause a nationalistic spirit which could be just as bad as religion. And at an early age, you are not taught to question history, even though it is constantly being rewritten. I would even say that up until higher education history is taught as fact and not fallible, which is proven in your post. I personally just say teach children what will best get them through their education and social life as best as possible, and when they are old enough they can make their own mind up. Until then, they are not responsible enough to make their own decisions. So unless you want to teach them nothing or things that you as a parent do not believe (which will not happen), just teach them what you know as a parent.
