Why Don't People Explore Anymore?
Laymen's Terms: I have more experience and knowledge of the game. There is a broader spectrum of the game's players I have met than a lot of people. Experience = knowledge = my arguments retain more water than someone with less of each. Unlike some people on this thread I don't spew out thoughts without making sure I know what I am talking about first. I'm sorry I had to dumb down my thoughts for you. I get the feeling you saw a wall of text and you turned off to reading it. That's ok though now that I've made it clearer for you. You know what beats experience? Evidence. Here, let me give you an example. I'm arguing against the suggestion that there is a trend that "people don't explore anymore." I'll provide some evidence then, shall I? [hide=Evidence] [/hide] See, I have provided a nice fat chunk of evidence that proves there are still plenty of people who like to explore. Thus, I am right. :ugeek: Although in alot of those statements, people have used the lines 'when i first became a member....' and don't give a timescale, they could have only really explored years ago, but not anymore. It seems people are taking my posts too literally, it amy sound like i'm making sweeping generalisations saying that nobody explores and everybody is grinding etc, but that isn't what im trying to say, i'm trying to get across that from what i can see, alot less people go around just to get away and have fun, than did when i first started.

72-80 Smithing
Umm. How does blast furnace work. What do I do and what inventory? Whats the official world? there is a minigame guide on it...jagex has a world (dot have to do any work here) The smithing guide, or blast furnace guide on the tipit mainpage has a small section, or theres a guide i wrote in the general guides section...somewhere....like 10 pages back...which needs updating badly...

Your first car
Err, it may sound ignorant of me not knowing you, but those are two of the most expensive cares in the world, unless your dad is a billionaire, i find it incredibly hard to beleive that.

Do you usually kill Mutated or Normal Bloodvelds?
Depends, i'll cannon the regular ones if i'm looking to get the task over and done with fast, but the mutated ones if i've got some spare cash at the time and want to spend some extra time.

Nerfing the 26k trick.
Yup, that last suggestion sums up my ideas too, but would pking still be profitable?

Why Don't People Explore Anymore?
I disagree, from what i see, the game has turned into more of a race to get exp and gain ranks. Without the, what i would call 'Pressure' to train atm (which comes from things like skillcapes), i think alot more people would be off doing thigns that didn't gain exp than currently do.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Game)
Still do we need more blood seems like the game is centralizing upon it rather than the actual gameplay the game looks like other M+ games terror etc. You can get a 'Caged' version, for PS2 and Wii that tone down the gore, but the game relies quite heavily on the gore part, not saying the gameplay isn't good, but it only has a few unique parts to the gameplay, and would be lacking a bit without some good gore.

how to report on runescape 2 forums?
I'm assuming you mean the official rs forums yes? I haven't been there for years, but when i last did, there was a thread in the 'general' section for reporting posts/threads and the info on how to do it.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Game)
I know the games a few months old now, but it is quite a good game. (only picked it up a few days ago) In short, its one of the best movie-tie-in games i've ever played. I shouldn't need to explain the storyline to you, it's fairly self explanitory. Just wondering if anybody else has it and played it? If anybody hasn't, these few vids might make you want to [hide=Warning, lots and lots of gore][yt]QO9vza3CPls[/yt] [yt]M9OTxJ_idGk[/yt][/hide] In those vids you can't relaly see one of my favorite parts of the game, the active healing/regeneration and damage on wolverine himself. It is incredible to see, and i'd love some other games to use it. When wolverine gets short/damaged, it will actually rip open his flesh, tear chunks out of him, and if damaged enough you can see right down to his skeleton. Its also quite cool seeing a cutscene after, as his t-shirt doesen't repair (its good they did that, would have annoyed me if it did), so you have massive holes in it, or like me at the end of some levels none at all. In the trailer above, you see the part where he's in a tunnel on the back of a truk, and another truck flies over the top and the camera sweeps really close past the side of wolverine, at that moment i had just been shot up real bad, and half of his side was blown right open, exposing his ribs, and as the camera swept past, you could see it in so much detail close up regenerating.

I'm going to go insane soon... (Juicy :p)
This so makes me think of the filme 'step brothers' but instead of a new step brother, its a step mother. I still think you should sit down with her, talk about your boundries and limits, get to know her, you never know, you might actually like her.

Why Don't People Explore Anymore?
Again, nothing has really changed. The people who act the way you describe probably aren't indicative of any larger pattern in Runescape culture. There are still plenty of people who like to explore and figure things out for themselves; you just aren't noticing them. The majority of Runescape updates are not geared towards people who grind endlessly. Those people don't need updates, because they'll just accept the status quo and grind away with whatever method they think is the best. Quests and minigames in particular make up a large part of the developers' efforts, and their target audience falls squarely in the "explorer" group. If the game loses its "unknown excitement" for you, it's because you know now; nothing has changed but your attitude. To a new player, it's still unknown. [/hide] We're not discussing the lack of explorers, but the overpopulous amount of "quicker" people. Folks who want to get everything done fast and now. Which eventually will make the game into a routine and unoriginal. The point I'm trying to make is that if people continue doing everything quickly, you're not going to have an enjoyable time playing the game. Since your concern, your only concern, is to efficiently train to be the best. Which, with a game over 10 million people, you're going to be working for a very long time. An this isn't work, its a game. And to avoid more stupid posts, I am not saying everybody is like this but there is a large number. What updates have given you an indication that Jagex is only going to impliment updates that help the grinders? Your saying things without examples or references. Games are an escape, and if people want to be totally innoculated with training a skill for a couple of hours to get away from life, why not let them? Your seemingly saying that if people aren't doing things the way you want them to, then they can't possibly be having fun. To avoid more stupid posts, make some references please. I agree games are an excape, i guess it's down to more people now-days finding grinding towards goals more fun than exploring a CG world. That or they just seem much more notice-able. But i do ask, if anybody does grind skill all the time, and doesen't enjoy it, (if it applies to anybody here) why do you do it? Try exploring, you won't be gaining any ranks or exp, but if you try to find some far-flung areas, examine anything strange you see, that time will stick in your mind and go much quicker than any grinding will.

Stuff you could NEVER get into
^haha i agree on the topic of myspace/twitter, and all the other socia networking sites friends have tried to get me using (bebo, facebook etc). For some reason, i feel cringeworthingly embarissed for myself when i spend more than 5 mins on them. I can't understand how somebody can spend a whole day on there.

Why Don't People Explore Anymore?
Unless by "successful", you mean the people who are having the most fun and enjoyment out of the game (which would be a good point, but I don't think this is what you were aiming for), I have to disagree. Shouldn't that be the aim of every game though? Thats personally what i 've been trying to aim at in my posts.

Barrows Armor
Why wouldn't you use armadyl in the fight cave? Karil's offer no statistical advantage over Black d'hide, it degrades, it's magic defence is useless, since any magic attack that hits you in Fight caves, you are dead. It's melee defence is lower than black d'hide. But if your any good at fight caves, nothign should get in melee range of you, so the melee defence is also useless. However, the 90's will be ranging you, and karils has higher in that, which makes karil's a better option. And on the topic of armadyl, personally, i melee in it, i find the negative effects barely noticeable with 99 attack.
