Yeah its strange, i changed the right parts of the file to change the kingdom name, and its on the native expansion so its maybe just a strange bug.

On the Native Expansion, has anybody re-named their kingdom using the troops.txt file? I've tried but whatever i do it won't appear ingame (when using a captured town's manage kingdom option) Do i have to re-start to have it there or something? I've edited the rile exactly as it should be i'm sure.

I do agree, however, this exact post seems to cycle through TIF every half a year or so. But as compfreak and a few others stated above, the older more respected players move on, i never thought at the time, but i miss having qeltar around to stir up some competative arguments, it was fun to have well thought out, critical posts that weren't spam or one line arguments with him. There are lots of other users who brought the same to these forums. As said, we need to move on to be the next role models. I do try to make my posts as constructive as possible (with the addition of alot of spelling mistakes but they've been with me for years :) ). We need a few more threads such as the adamant chain vs torso thread, the last few pages of that had some great argumentative posts, comon comp, get some more going. I will also add, i have recently noticed the 'bad eggs' you mention, but they seem to be in groups more than single people, which is a bad thing, as it limits the ways you can get rid of them from the community. When a bad egg is on their own and nobody sticks up for them they go quickly, but when they have just one person sticking up for them, they will tend to stick around for quite some time.

It's all good and well saying that, but it isn't being taken into action. For example, as it currently stands, hypothetically, i could abuse a bug i find to dupe items, take a screenshot and post it here on tipit. I wouldn't say or show any relation to how its done, but i would say i've made x amount from it, saying something like 'haha i've made 400m so far from a dupe i've found!' with a screenshot of a phat set in my inv. I could post that here on tipit, and from the actions i've seen, the most (but rarely occuring) thing that would happen is the post deleted. More likely, any flame or spam afterwards would be deleted but with no punishment to me. Now i just don't see that as the right way to go, in that instance i should be banned untill proof can be given i haven't done what i've said i had. It would also be good to see mods post, telling people not to bring bug abusing here to tipit as a deterrant, as i said before, alot of a punishment should be a deterrant to others.

Been playing the native expansion for the last few days. If you haven't yet, i urge people to try it, it is a very good expansion.

I'm not saying mods aren't doing anything, but it is hard for mods to take action when the rule can be read in different ways, making it hard to enforce, which is why i'm asking for a clarified version of the rule. And to be honest, a punishment for this rule should be a visible punishment and not behind the scenes, half of a punishment imo is a deterrant to other people thinking of breaking the rules, if we carry on seeing people bragging about breaking the RS rules here, it will become more and more common untill we end up looking like a place that is filled with rule breakers.

Yeah thats what it was, i knew it was something along those lines.

What i mean is that at the start you lose them all, as you become an enemy of the kingdom etc. I was REALLy annoyed with my game, i wiped out the old nords still loyal to ragnar, and got lathwin on the throne, but, my game bugged and the chat after the nords were wiped out just had something like 'NO LINE!' where the chat should have been, and then once we were again a united nord kingdom, all the lords, including lahin were angry with me the first time i spoke with them. AND the quest wasn't finished.

Is this anther 2 week event? Haven't been on rs for a week, can't really be bothered going on just for this event, the first holiday event i really cant be bothered doing. The carrot, is that even a bloody carrot? I saw 2 screenies of it, and didn't know what it was, and couldnt figure out what it was supposed to be untill i saw somebody say it was one, like, wow. A much better one would have been a bright orange carrot, about the size of a short sword, with a 'prod' option instead of whack. Might be the first holiday event since yo-yo's i haven't done.

So yeah, a while ago in a thread here i was told something along the lines of bug abusers will get punishments on tipit if it can be shown they've bug abused. Can't remember the exact words but it was something like that. Anyway, If you check out the Most recent locked thread in Gen Discussion, about the PVP bug etc, there are a few tipit accounts that have said they abused the bug, and should be given punishments really. But That isn't what this thread is about, it's wondering wether we can get a solid rule, in the tipit rules warning about Tipit users abusing Rs bugs and bringing them here to tipit. With tipit soon to be affilitated officially with rs (maybe?), should we not have a solid rule about Tipit accounts possibly being banned if they admit to, or proof is given of them bug abusing in rs? This is remember, a RS fansite, what's the point of having people who abuse the game hanging around here?

I think my game was bugged when i was marshal. I kept trying to get the army to mass but they would never come, was really annoying. At first i was really regretting joining the nords because we lack to much on the battlefield having no cavalry, but now i'm seeing our weakness is our strength, having all our troops train specifically for being on foot is great in seiges, huskarls veterans and warriors rip through cavalry units when they don't have horses, so seiges are great for us. Last night i totally wiped out the swadians, and was starting to think about stopping playing becasue we would so easily overpower the others it seemed pointless, but now i've had the thought 'this just got interesting' now i'm trying to restore the claimant to the throne, its added a whole new phase to the game (as if it hadn't taken so much of my life already :() A tip for anybody else who tries it though, fill your party with the best troops from any of your garrisons before making an oath to the claimant because you'l lose all your towns/castles and the troops inside them.

Thats what makes it fun. It's never the same thing twice and every randomly generated thing is notweworthy. It's also great to go from lone wanderer to king. P.S. How does £9.50 translate to USD? Probably 15 USD max with todays rates, but its really not much.

Addicted to this game, got it wensday and im already level 29 :oops: . I'm a vassel of the Nords now, Love having my own herald and things, its nice that your heroes and troops have the herald on any of their gear that can have it on too. Stupid swadians keep seiging my castle, but ive stuffed it with huskarls and elite archers, and an army of 400 against my 120 got downed,they didn't manage to get off the ramp and into my castle, the area was just stuffed with my huskarls and me swinging in and killing them before they could swing at us. My casualties total : 26 Theirs: 184 They didn't stand a chance. But our Nord army is incredibly weak atm because of the swadians, their was a mass battle when about 80% of both our armies were in one huge battle, it was 1k+ vs 1k+. Took me at least 2 hours to do that battle, died in the third fight, but had weakened them enough to win overall, but we were still massively weakened. And now the Vargeas (sp?) are taking advantage of it and wiping us out from the other side. I've been captured aand lost my army so many times now i've totally lost count, and they keep stealing my gear when they capture me, i stole a masterwork bastard sword off an enemy, and got it stolen off me #-o . Yah this game is incredible.

Chill dude. That's only my assumption from what i've seen from the map, past the gates and from being told by the NPC's in the game. As i said, it's a CRUDE map i made by copy and pasting based on the shape of what we have so far.

The Tzhaar city is one of the places i would like updated the most, the posibilities are endless. The size of the city is incredible if it were to be fully opened up. I made this crude map by just copy and pasting the 1/4 of the city we already know and taking out the fight pits in the extra parts, as theres no point in having 4 fight pits. Now for all we know, the central pit could be even larger, but this kind of gives an idea of th scale of the Tzhaar city. The possibilities of what monsters,minigames,quests,miniquests,areas that could lead off from caves and rooms around this city is incredible.

Look at your title. And i've not heard about half of those places, like the underwater city, zaroz's empire (i thought that was the wilderness?), and the eastern lands arent exactly 'lost' The tzaar city is going to be a big circle, if you look at it on a map, so far we have about 1/5th of the city, which encircles the main lava pit of the volcano.

There is a glitch/lagg where, half of the cabbage is stuck through your torso looking like a fanny pack. But from the description it sounds more like a belt, with cabbages al the way around.

Are you sure she didn't want you to come here and post this, to have a laugh? Maybe you could ask her to take a screenie?

Err, not really sure what to say, i haven't seen anything like it. maybe shes' pulling your leg.

Ordered this game last night, should arrive here in the next two day's. So can't wait. Picked it up for a bargain. Was around £9.50. Was very suprised that i could get it for so cheap.

Nope, not in that situation.

Soulwars. Winning a game will net you around 21k exp. Winning all gams you could get around 50-60k exp/h. Probably won't win all games, but it is fast exp, and last time i chcked, faster than pc'ing hp.
