Personally, I think Metallica, as a band, their greatest influence and accomplishment would be One. It brings together great guitar riffs, astonishing solos and arguably the first breakdown ever recorded in Metal. Nowadays, you hear breakdowns in all the metal and metalcore songs and in my opinion it is what brings out that element of metal that needs to be there. Take away the breakdown in One and it definately isn't the song it's meant to be.

Metalcore > Screamo IMO

Oooh A new guitar learner. I started guitar about 2 months ago.. I don't play it overly alot, but I do love to jam out to some Drum Machine beats I make up. I recorded a little something about 2 weeks ago, unfortunately I forgot to back it up when I formatted my HardDrive. I think you can find it on myspace somewhere.. uhh.. oh yeah. Alright, just finished this piece, I think I'm getting better at it.. Fixed it up a bit, lightened it, and tried a new text. New piece, I think I improved from the last one.

I guess I am a little too cliche. I mean I'm into hardcore/screamo/speed metal music and I guess I dress my own way but I have the same hair style as everybody else (which is the short hair, long bangs sweeped to one side) and sometimes accompanied by a touqe. Meh, songs are good with good meaning and a fast energetic beat and heavy screaming, I dunno I like it.

Omg how could I forget about that!?!?!? :shock: CLASSIC But as much as I hate to admit it, Haley Joel Osmith's character's death in "Pay It Forward" really moved me. Definitely not the most dramatic death, but man was it sad. Same here, a kid that does so much for the world and then tries to save a kid from an everyday bully getting knifed.

If you're into fantasy and more of a mature look at things, then you should try the Terry Goodkind novels, speciffically the Sword of Truth novels. Amazing books, I once stayed up till 1:30 AM because I couldnt put the book down (school night aswell). I also just started reading a new book called Memories of Ice by Steven Erikson which is amazing in detail and everything is very well planned. But if you're not into fantasy, then you are S.o.l because they're the best books possible.

Heh, those guys look like a good band I like called Dimmu Borgir. As for the C&C, the text, as previously mentioned, is HORRIBLE. The brushing looks nice and I think if you slid some better text, it'd look good.
