  1. Ok I sent a query, asking about how weight and the direction of the NPC affects chances of a successful pcik pocket. Thanks for the idea about weight koddo :D
  2. An end of wars may be impossible but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. I try to be the nicest person I can, if everyone did the same then there would be no more wars. However with the cruelty and madness going on in the world today, war is sometimes the best thing to do :(
  3. I think i'm going to have to query jagex, if anyone knows the answer it will be them :) Edit - Queries seem to be down at the moment, all I get is a white screen?
  4. I've been doing a bit of theiving recently, I looked at many guides and I never found an answer. If your in the know please post and save me the effort of running round an npc everytime it moves :D
  5. I consider someone to be new to runescape when they have to ask where varrock is :D And low leveled is under 20 combat / 100 total level
  6. Did you post all that just to educate us or did I miss the point?
  7. There is a saying I know that goes along these lines, "Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone" :D
  8. Only 200k at the moment but most I've ever help was 2.9m
  9. Greed is something you feel. We can't just "get rid" of it - and there's really no proof that society is moving towards or away from more greed. It's something people feel and it's something people have always felt. Very good point. What I suppose I'll have to change it to is, Wars will end when we learn to control our greed.
  10. Thats like the telescreens in 1984. Big brother is watching you.........
  11. I had to look up "cognitive misers" so to save others the effort here's an explanation.
  12. I think that wars will never stop until we get rid of greed. And with the way society is looking at the moment, I think greed is on the increase.
  13. This could get a bit complicated but the point I was trying to make was about discriminating against stereotypes. For example Japanese people. The stereotype is that they are shy, so should they be denied an interveiw for a job, on the basis that they are Japanese? Back on dress code, should a "mosher" be disliked by someone just because he is a "mosher"?
  14. I'm not asking you to get to know every single person you meet, what I'm asking you to do is not to judge people before even speaking to them. Be open minded and try speaking to people that you wouldn't normally. If you can't do that then at least don't lash out at them like many do. Now remember what thumper said in Bambi
  15. Whatever way you look at it, prejudice is wrong. Racism is seen as bad, sexism is seen as bad but people everywhere I go people think it's ok to prejudge people based soley on the clothes that they are wearing. The terms chav, mosher, emo, ect ect are all linked to a certain way of dressing and looking and with each label comes some unpleasant assumptions. For example Chavs are prejudged as being stupid morons, moshers are labelled as dirty and smelly and emos get fun made of them for being depressed and practising self harm. If I were to go and point out the faults in each of these stereotypes this post would take me hours so I'll just focus on "moshers". The image of "moshers" is wearing a black hoody, baggy jeans and listening to heavy metal. Does dressing like this make me smell? No. Do most people who dress like that smell? No. Do some people dress like that smell bad? Yes some do but very few. Even though this is obvious who has taken time to think the subject through, if I walked down the local mainstreet dressed like that I would have people that I have never met yell, "You dirty mosher!" and "Take a bath!" at me. This is un-doubtably wrong, people automatically hating me enough to scream abuse, just because of the clothes I wear. One arguement I often hear when I try to explain my theory to friends is "Well all chavs are morons!". They are not. I have met many people who wear berbarry(sp?, trackies and baseball caps yet are pleasant and truely wonderful people. The other counter arguement I hear is "In order to qualify as a chav you have to be a moron". This is again wrong. If you act stupidly and treat others with no respect then you are a moron. Being a chav is all about what you wear, not who you are. Same with moshers, emos, skaters ect. To conclude, treat people as individuals, not as a dress code. Please discuss this and post anything you agree or disagree with.
  16. Actually it is possible, a friend of mine can do it :D
  17. Has anyone mentioned lepricauns yet?
  18. To break it down into one game would be very difficult as I have many good memories of gaming. Pure all out pick up and go fun - Definately Duck Hunt for the SNES. Better Shooters have come out put they don't have the same beautiful simpleness of this wonderful game. RPG - Tie Between FF VII, VIII, X and Morrowind. They are all good in their own way FPS - Dark Forces, no question MMORPG - Secrets of Mirage Overall - Tie Between Dark Forces and the RPG's I mentioned.
  19. To be honest I didn't think of that, but I usually write down names. Thats what I do in the wildy :D
  20. I know that I would have taken advantage of this bug, but I probally would return the items (I like to think I would - It is only a game after all). If I went on the killing spree it be just for the pleasure of causing chaos and panic. It seems almost poetic to me, a high level gaining godly powers and going on an evil rampage as the people scurried about in fear and panic. I reckon Jagex should let there mods loose like that every now and then, just to put fear back into the rs communtity.
  21. Shaun of the Dead. First movie to seriously scare me. First horror too. It was then that I realised I wasn't a violent type of person and that horrors weren't for me. I sat through it perfectly fine but for weeks afterwards I couldn't get the images from that movie from my head. Being away from home and sleeping in a room with a 12 foot window in it didn't help but even at home I don't watch horror movies for fear of doing that to myself again.
  22. I love to play rugby but I've never taken it beyond school level due to its awful timetable. I can't do wednesdays or Sundays, so I can't join a club. I think I'll have to re-take it up at college/universtity. Until then I'm stuck playing school level
  23. Thats a good prank but definately not new. My favourite version is to tie some really thin string, eg fishing wire, to the door knocker of a house and hide in some nearby bushes. From there you knock on the door via the string and keep on doing it. If you do it right and knock the moment they close the door it can have scare them pretty bad. They will eventually get mad and step outside. You then yank on the string and close the door on them. Priceless.
  24. That was truely inspiring. Boy I wish I could make music like that.
