i remember back in my nooby days taking ages to get 40defence..so it was much harder

Too true, but I'm trying.... Unlike most stakers, I'm going atk/def, not straight out str. Not sure if i'm different, but i don't really expect to achieve my goals (that won't keep my from trying though). Anybody wanna offer a training estimate (as in for a person with about an hour of time on weekdays, maybe 3 on weekends.) I think this goal would take me the better half of a year. errr..thats what most stakers are going for these days what i think would be good is a tank pker.. \ keep going though

for f2p you should really stick to yews considering there aren't many better ways to get cash otherwise..if p2p willows are fine though

well it probably still does work but when you go down be prepared to fight as if you didn't have a friend with you

well yes..40def helps alot! i have a 40def f2p pure myself and find it owns many 1 defence pures

i log onto Tip.it today and various other forums and i keep seeing "tank staker" threads. A few months ago they were very rare and it was considered quite good to be a tank (as it was to be a 1 defence pure a few years ago) but now there is lots and lots of them..Some people are changing there mains into tanks with 70att/str with high defence, magic and range. Is there any reason for the high number of tanks now?

farming is the only skill i can level at the normal rate due to school. Currently i am out of normal tree seeds but am farming 3 tree seed patches and doing those each day followed by fishing and cooking to 60.

how do you exactly get your herblore up? it is cost effective :wink:

catching the flag holder is simple enough providing they aren't fully prepared with a nice invent and a friend at hand to give bandages..with these tricks it makes it MUCH harder but it's still possible...especially if you have a decent ancient mage with you.

i'm really not sure whether this is going to be completed or not..come on chopping 142k willows then burning all of them..thats seriously boring :cry:

In other news... A new farming patch has been added to the Gnome Stronghold for growing trees. It's west of the agility course, near the bank. Like the other four tree patches, this one has an obliging gardener willing to look after your saplings in exchange for a little payment, and also a handy Leprechaun to keep hold of your tools. When you switch weapons after you've been autocasting spells with a staff, your combat style will now attempt to stay on the last melee combat mode you selected rather than always defaulting to the Defensive mode. The demon butler has been updated to match the other demons. The special attack of the rune throwing axe will no longer "steal" other people's random event monsters from combat, causing them to attack you. Runecrafting pouches have always automatically emptied themselves when you drop them on the ground. We have now added a warning message to ask if you're sure you wish to drop them. Trimmed wizard hats have been updated to match the change that was made to the untrimmed versions a couple of weeks ago. The trimmed Cape of Achievement for Woodcutting had a bug where it would change its colour to match your character's leggings. This has now been fixed.
