tbh.. it never even crossed my mind that runescape wouln't be around. Things have changed so much since I started playing, even in the last two and a half years. I've just got bored of runescape though. It used to excite me - hell, i'd go as far as saying I was addicted.. but now there dosent seem to be anything worth playing for. I met a great person on runescape, who is now an even greater real life friend, and I'm greatfull for runescape allowing me to meet such a nice guy.. he means the world to me.. but that's all I'm greatefull for. There was always a nagging voice in the back of my head saying "You're wasting your time playing this game and that one day, could just cease to exist, and all of your hard work would be for nothing". I guess that's the reason I've basically quit. I can't see me ever going back to runescape properly, no matter what they did to update the game.. and I'm sure there're people who are just like me in way of thinking. However, Jagex will continue, as long as there are new players joining, paying membership, and enjoying runescape. Jagex will have to move with the times to accomodate these new players, and what THEY want from a game. I mean, with things such as the PS3 coming out.. why would people want to play runescape over PS3? I mean, sure, there's lots of things that ya can do on RS that you cant with a console game, but still, it's not exactly great.. there'll have to be newer and more exciting things introduced into the game - which people have already pointed out, is hard work for Jagex with their current method of playing the game. In my opinion, if Jagex is going to have any chance of being around in 10 years, they will probably, I would imagine, have to re-do the whole game. People joining the games now, will always want things like phat's, and want to reach insainly good goals.. but these things are always going to be overshaddowed by the "Yeah well Zezima has had 99 everything for the past x years" or "Phats are going up at around 100 million a day, and being level three player, you can only hope to make 20gp a day if you're lucky". I know this wont bother some people, but others will be really anoyed at it, and I guess, the numbers of players joining up will be considerably lower. Anyways.. just my thoughts.

Has anyone checked yet, to see if it has actually been done already? Like people have said, it could be done.. but it'd take a LOT of support, money, friends etc.

The way I see it, is there are three different groups of 'friends'. 1 - People I know IRL - I have only one of who plays runescape. 2 - People I know from the game, and only in-game, or on messenger. 3 - The above but I dont really like them, just talk to them for the sake of it. 1: Offensive Language 1N 2N 3Y 2: Item Scamming 1N (I'de just punch him :P) 2Y 3Y 3: Password Scamming 1N (Same as above) 2Y 3Y 4: Bug Abuse 1N 2N 3Y 5: Jagex Staff Impersonation 1N 2N 3Y 6: Account Sharing/Trading 1N 2N 3N 7: Macroing 1N 2N 3N - Chances are, they'll lose their account anyways through keyloggers or Jagex's detection things so I dont need to do anything. 8: Multiple Logging In - 1N 2N 3N 9: Encouraging Others To Break Rules - 1N 2N 3Y 10: Misuse of Customer Support - 1N 2N 3N - I dont even get how this works to be honest. 11: Advertising / Website - 1N 2N 3N - If you're stupid enough to use websites that people tell you, knowing the risks, then your problem. 12: Real World Item Trading - 1N 2N 3N 13: Asking for Personal Details 1N 2N 3N - However, I'de be suspicious if the person I know IRL was asking me, 'cause he already knows everything, and with the second two cases, I dunno how much i'de tell them, but you cal easily just ignor the person so IMO this is a pointless rule. :S Anyways, I hope that made sence to you guys. :P
