I know how it worked, but he just stated out it's hard to hack, although there have been few moments where Jagex's database was pretty weird/hacked. Duping was a bug. I don't think you know what a hack is.

I've always wished they'd give free runes/arrows just for inside castle wars. I love barraging in c wars but the runes are worth about 2500gp a cast. :(

I have a lvl 17 def pure. It can wear rune. :o

I'm f2p and always have been so bare that in mind: I started off merchanting rune ess, starting with about 40k gp. Slowly, my gp raised and raised... and raised. I seemed to get a bit lucky with ess and after about two to three weeks I had amounted about 30m cash, and a santa (worth 5m at the time). This is where my cash really did shoot up in amount and I started to make almost 6m a day. Autoers had shifted the ess economy, and it went in my favour, and I was making mega cash. After a good while more of merchanting ess I had a green mask, red mask, santa hat and about 120m. Then the pure ess update came, and I ended up getting knocked back by 40m thanks to the depreciation of regular ess (I'm f2p). I sold my green mask and santa and then had about 105m cash. I then bought a green phat for 98.5m. I now needed something new to merchant - cowhides. I furthered my gp and bought back the santa and green mask. Then the cowhide market started to slow down so I went on to willows, where I merchanted about 30m, which the majority of which I traded with my green phat for a red one. I quite recently stopped merchanting. I now have a red phat, red mask, santa, easter egg, 8m cash and a further 3m or so in items.

Ahem. *Clears throat* A few mille is what 3 white phats are worth? Rofl@u both. No money was taken out of the RuneScape economy - alching phats actually increases the money in the RuneScape economy, in this case by 6gp.

It's impossible for something like this to be very accurate (if at all accurate) - there just isn't enough information. And some of your calculations are made considering that all xp say in smithing after lvl 48 has been achieved by making steel plates. And even if it all was made from steel plates, you then go on to say that they were all high alched. Go to any world and trade the NPC at varrock centre smithing place and he'll have tons of steel plate bodies that were sold to him by players. You should take into part these things in your calculations. P.S. Well done on all the research - it must've taken you ages. It was an extremely interesting read. Thank you.

Most cash I ever had: 101m. Cash I have right now: 30m. Cash and items I have now: I think about 160m (30m gp, red mask and green phat). And I've never been a member :wink:

Someone's definition of rich will be different from someone else's. It's more of a comparison - I have 160m cash and items (roughly) and when compared to a lvl 16 in full iron I'm rich. Compared to some master merchants and stakers I'm poor. I'd say anything above 100m is rich. Above 50m is wealthy.
