  1. I hope they'll make Coinshare-splits based on the highest bid in the GE at that specific time. for example, player A has an offer for a set of D claws for 30m, then group B with 3 players will get splits of 30/3 = 10m each when killing a demon that carries a set of claws. However, if player A is offering 33m, then the same group would receive splits of 33/3 = 11m instead. Would be a doable solution, IMO. *sells claws for 30m in ge* *is on four hour buying/selling limit* *puts in offer for buying claws at 200M* Gl all people who CS claws. Too easily manipulated. Are you being dense on purpose or do you just have no problem solving ability? Obviously it would have to be a trade that can actually complete... From the information we have available, we don't know it will have to be within reason. Free trade was just like that sometimes; people would attempt to sell their items for insanely high amounts for many reasons. Jagex has a lot of things to point out and I was only pointing out a major flaw in that plan. I think Jagex is on top of it though. If you've notice the server lag you know that isn't normal unless Jagex is live updating in their update servers ;). On a different note... Saw this when looking through some old pictures. The first time phats rose since the GE was released. Look at those prices  \:D/ When I found my old purple p-hat is was 20m.....green 22m and yellow 26m
  2. I can see both sides of the argument, but I think it's a good idea not to allow untradeable pots in the wild, especially since herblore doesn't raise CB. Prayer and summoning both have advantages in combat that you can't trade, and they both raise CB. Does bring into question whether or not chaotic will be allowed though Chaotic weapons are not a hidden bonus, while extremes would be. It would be like if a whip required 85 slayer to wield, I would not complain about it being used and not giving a combat level because you can easily see when someone is using a whip. So putting a mark on a person using overloads would be enough? (not carrying but only if they drunk it)
  3. I don't think this game was made for pures, it is not the idea Jagex has/had. I remember reading that somewhere. This is so far the best idea. Why? Because remember there are monsters in the wildernis, it would be unfair to disable the ovl pots in the whole wildernis. Some monsters can't be found outside. The retaliate idea....meh I think it should only count if you just run, as soon as your are in full combat with someone for let's say 10 seconds the stats should be lowered. I like this guys thinking because he is compensating and he reminded me of the various pvm that happens in wildy.
  4. Not much to comment about the new armour other than my hopes on what stats or specials it will have. But I just wanna say, that vid was HILARIOUS!
  5. This. I cannot believe how goddamn stupid MMG is. I want him gone so badly. This. I'm absolutely disgusted by MMG's responses. Come on, 500k people suddenly voting no at new year. Seriously, has he skipped high school, or is he just plain stupid and doesn't understand basic statistics? I mean, he seems like just making up a number and saying, "homm yeah, 1m should be fine, hmmkay". I think he just does not want to work so he sets the bar high hopes it fails and haha no more brainstorming about all the problems bringing back wildy will bring. Ps. Green gets it :) easy understandable but really strong arguments.
  6. You can lose dung rewards. Dung is functionally a minigame reward, on the same level of void. It's not a constant advantage like the ability to use ovl/ext. Yeh but if it drops....can I see it/pick it up? No. Constant advantage? Since when is herblore a constant advantage....potions need to be made and potions wear out ofter a while, also if you die you risk losing your potions. Yeh you can make new pots....yeh you can get another weapon in deamonheim. Plz note, I do not have a side in this, just seeing if someone can come with legit reasons in this discussion.

You would lose 200m, trade completed. thank you come again. he would be on the 4 hour limit, so no he wouldn't. I agree it would be too easily manipulated. Then they should change how GE handles four hour limit. but all together i think the idea of putting it in the GE for highest bid but giving the player its money right away is flawed. I think my other idea is better. [hide] It wouldn't matter if the price caps were removed from the GE. The recommended price might be under but the market would still be able to function at a much more fluid rate. This is because the GE medium price would no need to match the street price for people to buy and sell at street price. I meant for such activities as Coinshare boss killing. If an item is worth 50 million, but the "medium" price is 35 million. I don't imagine gaps of that amount would be too common at all, but if something like that were to happen, would the players just have to cut it as a 15 million gold loss? Because I'm sure a lot of players would prefer to just coinshare as opposed to getting the drop, selling it, and then splitting it amongst themselves. I am sure they are looking at that. I can think of all kinds of solutions, one of them being like a lent item you must sell before (X time) runs out, if time runs out it is sold for medium to the GE. That way you get a chance trying to sell the item yourself, the item can then be tried to sell on the GE for your price (it wont go lower then [x money] under med so people cant be a D and sell for 1gp) Dunno how to pick the person that gets the privilege of selling the item, maybe the leader? [/hide]
  8. So how about the dungeoneering rewards? Just like herblore an item you can get after getting a high lvl in a skill that does not affect combat....directly. Wonder what you guys think about that.
  9. I was with some peeps and we got 1 bandos chest, 3 tassets and 1 hilt in less than 75 kills. not coinshare though :S

  12. They also have to make all kind of safety things, so people standing in wildy loging in after the update don't get pk d, they should be teled out or something like that. I wonder what sign we get now if we tele to wildy :P
  13. I remember being there. Where is The Old Nite in this list - RIP Elvemage was a stupid pk er imo, but he was very famous. Also early rsc you could wield knifes....not just one, several at once and the str bonus was very high! There was a bug when they created mahogany and teak trees, in the tai bwo wannai (that correct spelling) village you could woodcut those trees and with every log a bird nest would drop. I don't think many players know this. PS. credits to the creator of this site, http://www.anzwers.org/free/jagex/
  14. If every skill gave hidden combat bonuses that would be true. Such as firemaking giving you the ability to light weapons on fire for added damage - would be a combat bonus. Smithing making your armor - isnt. However smithing adding armor plating or spikes to your armor (for added defense or offense, respectively is) Also, another reason herblore shouldn't add to your combat is because it would give people combat levels they may not have wanted. It's not fair to suddenly increase people's combat after the fact; dungeoneering and summoning were both released with the knowledge that it would add to your combat. Dungeoneering does not add combat levels, technically. Which is my beef with the fact that Chaotics are allowed, yet Extremes are not. I think at least SOME of the new pots should be allowed, others not (IE Spec restores) Neither do quests, or achievement diaries, or D&Ds... Come to think of it, the combat level explanation for banning extremes doesn't make much sense at all. Just allowing everything would be the way to go if Jagex cared about consistency and fairness (Which they don't, of course. Allowing everything would also require a Constitution update to stop higher-level pvp from turning into a one-hit bloodbath.). Wildy used to be a free area just like everywhere else, do what you want however you want it.
  15. When are they taking caps off money ffs.
  16. Merchanting clans won't have nearly as much influence over the market though because the prices will again be fluid. Sure, they can try to buy up the supply of an item but the thing that made GE manipulation work-- price updates being too slow to accommodate sharp changes in demand/supply-- will be fixed by allowing players to set their own prices outside the bounds of the GE's price caps. They can still buy up items for much but others can still choose to buy at normal price... it doesn't work.
  17. nother hard clue (thats a sara helm) ant my fps is stable 40-50
  18. Add red dragons to the list, the ones in the brimhaven dungeon are a hard place to collect red hides (dogs and long walk)
  19. What's the purpose of it? JaGex put it in the game to act like they are making useful updates which they are not Ya I noticed lol. Typed help and there are only like 4 commands none of which are useful at all. I like it for it's DisplayFPS feature. If it goes below 50 for what ever reason, I know to close a few scripts. =). Phew! I am not the only one using this to detect if lag is on my side or on the isp side. Hit the ` key (~) Press Enter Type: Displayfps Hit the ` key (~) Press Enter
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if they started working on it a few days before posting the first poll- they more or less knew the idea would be a huge hit among players, particularly older ones. Doubt they can manage to get all the details set before new years but 15th of january seems like a nice date. I still think it would take at least a week or two after the poll closes and if it is yes. They have to move and change a lot of things in the wild. And decide what to do with each stat boosting item. I think they are already done with all the updates regarding wildy. They wouldn't make a petition/vote if they weren't ready to implement it right away. It would just piss of a lot of people if they have to wait more than a week. They have made rough updates now they need to replace things, edit and they heard about new problems that they did not thought of yet on the forums. So yeh it will take longer than a week.
  21. Like I said, and new area also called wildernis but non-pvp. I think it's an option.
  22. Oh dear, never remembered Mahatma was such a [cabbage]. Flaming each one of his opponents, going red in the face for someone potting or using a prayer  He wouldn't last 5 minutes in today's RuneScape... His first PK vid was made during the golden age of PK'ing-- if he maged guys wearing rune, they'd immediately pull out an msb and some dhides and keep fighting. A couple years later, if you tried maging someone in rune, they would throw a tantrum and immediately stop the fight by teleporting or running away and would call you a "farcaster." It was frustrating to see how stupid the majority of PKers had become lol All those rules people make up. no safing (what? can't prevent your own death? what happened to the more you eat the faster you are out of food) Also that vid shows quite the stupid pk er, thinking his rules are the rules, whats up with prayer? he uses protect item....thats also prayer plus he uses boosting prayer and he uses boosting pots but he is against defense pots? I dunno but if I ever fight him i make sure to bring def pot. As stated previously by someone else, Mahatma was different from PK'ers nowadays. Mahatma doesn't actually frown upon using defense pots-- he'd consider you an idiot if you didn't use one against him. He's just talking trash as a fighting strategy to distract his opponent. Now, all the 10-year-olds that saw his videos and thought that he was awesome didn't quite comprehend his dialect-- they trash talk because, well, they're stupid lol I think he did care about prayer....
  23. Holy [cabbage]. How many pumpkins are in the game? Thats literally 71 BILLION coins worth of pumpkins. 71 BILLION. Is....is that real? Most likely. Krimandy is, or at least was, a big price manipulator and rare merchant. Ow, also notice those darts :) i once started buying those and merchers picked it up and bought more and more. I ended up making a huge profit thanks to them. I merch alone. ps how can you look into someones invec?
