Free Trade - Staking - True Pking = Runescape. It's the only decent MMO that HAD these qualities and is the reason why we had the community we had. Now we're left with a bunch of people who play PVE ( WTF ) and hold onto their precious items, the same people who are complaining about the return of True Runescape. The best update to ever hit Runescape will be rolling the game back 5 years, or the release of a smarter RS classic. If you've only started playing within the last 4 years, keep your comments to yourself. Yes I'll be returning if it goes ahead to stake, pk and hand out my money.

Double Ko's are very annoying also. And to callous, it's not us getting lucky with the final few hits, it's really an entirely new fight. They bank, come back out, start a new fight, goes on for a bit, we ko, not our kill. Now that, is broken.

I bought it in blocks whenever the bones bottomed out to around 5.1k per. All up I would guess a little over 120m :ohnoes:

It's worse than it ever was, by far.

This is a [bleep]ing joke. 4 Awesome kills in a row, none of them my loot. Jagex need to fix their broken dmg system, they're a complete joke when it comes to dealing with anything pvp as seen with their mass amounts of [bleep] ups. This is a joke. Perhaps after 10 kills I'll actually get some loot. Fix it Dumb Jagex WOW!

I got 99 fletching a long time ago when it was profitable, and that's why I did it. Nowdays people are willing to spend money to level fletching. The same goes for my cooking fishing gap to a lesser extent. Why is it stupid? Edit - Also must stress those aiming for max total aren't included in my category. Just those who will grind a cape simply for getting a cape.

It depends what they use them for. Those people who buy 99 cooking without leveling fishing are stupid. No-one can enjoy that ... Sure back in it's time it was good to get rank for it, but now leveling it purely to get a skill cape I have to call sad grind. However, there are still 99s that are very good which represent dedication while still being fun. Slayer is a good example, with many by-products of it ( melee stats ). Dungeoneering is a good example, both for the fun and rewards. Then we have the reward skills. Things such as prayer and herblore are boring to level if grinded, but the rewards for them ( pking with turm or gwd with ovys ) is definetly worth it. There's also several skills which are a bit suss. Range is very good, very fun, can be done through slaying or the eventual outcome of pking / leveling. The rewards are high for arma, so overall it's quite nice. Sadly though you get those chinning noobs who afk level it for the sole intention of getting yet another 99 with no plans to use the skill - just show off the cape. The same can be said for magic in regards to buying things to high alch. Unless you're alching to 94 to do more dmg pking, then I really don't see the fun in it :ohnoes: TL;DR There are people who abuse 99s, and people who truely get them for fun or turn their grind ( prayer training ) into fun. I always do have to say something if I see a 99 cook with 70 fishing :twisted:

This isn't constructive towards the topic. We're not comparing which game is better, we're saying why we choose one game over others - and the reasons have been perfectly valid.

There's still a huge difference between an RTS and a RPG-like game :P. Besides have you seen starcraft 2? - I bought it and it was my biggest disappointment to date! (Who in bliz-hq was so clever to think "hey lets make a single player game only playable over the internet, so the people who actually enjoy the singleplayer facts are penalized even more!") Lulwut? You don't need to be on the net to play single player :ohnoes:

Play Starcraft then. It's hands down the most skillfull game in the world, and regarded as the most balanced game ever. There's massive competitions with huge prize pools, and best of all, you don't have a team to rely on, it's up to you alone in 1v1. LoL is a bit toned down in relation to DotA. There's no denying, and lane control is quite easy. I've played both, and DotA remains the highest skill level, the most balanced ( argueable with the new heros ) and still the main tournament played game. But that's it for me. Starcraft, Dota and Runescape. Skill skill chill, haha.

I usually read and rarely post, hence my 1k post count since 2004. Today, I am posting :ohnoes: --------- Seems to be a lot of flaming and petty squabbling here, pulling away from the initial question, which is - Why do you play RS over other MMOs. See, the title isn't, prove why RS is a BETTER game than other MMOs, because doing so conflicts with personal interests which simply can't be changed. So instead of arguging for and against the game, argue why you play it / don't play it. So for me, a HUGE factor, is time spent. Using WoW as an example, when you begin a raid with a guild, you basically have to commit your time and full attention to it. This can go on for hours, playing the same game. Sure you can leave, but the way raiding is done in WoW it's a huge inconvienence and a hassle to find someone else. Rs in comparison is a casual social game. I'm not suggesting WoW can't be, but most of the time it is. I can log on to RS and spend as much time as I want without being tied to it. This doesn't suggest it's a better game, as I definetly believe it isn't, it just suits my lifestyle more. ------------ So shady and others, try to stick to the title instead of aruging the quality of the game.

First movie that did the book justice in a long time. I thouroughly enjoyed it and I reccommend it to everyone even if you've read the books. No wonder Marsden approved it.

At first i doubted this, after skimming the post and reading some replys. I then did a proper read of your methods, and they are indeed the most efficient and very achieveable. I do however, question your funding. How much do you have? This will all cost a great deal, and without the funding it won't be achieveable at all.

Do you understand what the concept of a roll back is? Topic poster said it only affect world 2. What if the seller did it through the ge on a different world? :o

I agree with this. That's why I'm happy for any Slayer level requirement, any farming requirement, any dung requirements etc - you get the idea. I love quests, I don't use guides, I get involved and feel accomplished when finishing them. I do feel more accomplished however when I finish a rather difficult quest which uses an array of my higher level stats, but in regards to Will's post, yes the stats required definetly should be enjoyable.

Waiting patiently for next top 10. Agreed with Chosen Commander best quest, definetly :thumbsup:

People do it to chill. You could have full attention at TD's to gain awesome money, or you could give no attention and fish to gain an eventual decent amount of money. It's still a money maker, and this is still a game to be enjoyed.
