Dynamic signatures combat level
Please change the combat formula for dynamic signatures. Right now it shows that I have a combat of 68, while my actual combat level is 42. I think (and hope) that this something that can be easily fixed. I am sorry if I put this in the wrong section, maps & calcs didn't seem the right place to me.

I wonder why my rank keeps rising with 500+ everyday for skills I didn't gain any XP in (this screenshot is for daily changes)... is jagex killing that many bots daily? Also I wish runetracker has an option for ironman highscores.

So I log in with +1,000,000 EXP in multiple skill and don't feel any different.
I agree with veiva, it is a lack of polish, and I think that fixing that is worth the extra lag, as I doubt it will be more than one second of extra lag :P

^i can see two ways if fixing it. First one is never load the ui before the account data, second one is not displaying the counters the first few seconds after logging in. Both seem pretty acceptable ways to fix it to me

Wondering if ironman will see the GE value too, or the high alch value :P I rather see the GE value though, as high alch value for these rewards doesn't say much.

Just came to the conclusion that it is not possible to buy off-handed weapons (except for dragon stuff)... guess I have a reason to use shields at adamant and rune levels... lol, or I should use a 2h, but I am not a fan of those.

While I like smithing, I don't like runecrafting :p so I rather not superheat. Also I doubt I can use portable forges, as I cannot even use others peoples divination stuff :p

^ah yes I understand :) Now for a new question (not really wanting to open a new topic for this). What would be a better strategy to train smithing? I am an ironman so I would like smithing xp but also something to high alch. I am not sure what is better for xp and money (and I need lots of coins for construction I guess)... I can see three ways: Keep smithing steel platebodies, which are easy to make and have a nice high alch value. Smelt gold ores and turn them into bracelets to high alch. Smith the best metal bars I can do. One thing needs to be said, I don't mind smelting/smithing :p I could also vary between methods of course...

Yes I agree :) But that is what I think they should change :P like sy said, make it so that defence really works as defence :P Also, couldn't they just add healing effects to defence (only when wearing a shield), that would at least make it more useful...

I agree with sy. In my view purpose of shields is to take less damage while your kills will be slower, in order to safe food so you have to bank less. This would mean (if done well) that with higher level monsters shields would be better than dual weapons. I guess that right now the shields are only worth it if that means that you heal faster than that you take damage so you can camp the monsters without banking... but this might be slower than just fish for some food and killing faster. Thanks for your answer :) Though I am wondering why you think multiple sets are not worth it.

Ok :) so I can just use the weapons I like more (the looks) as long if I have one set of each attacking style :) I also whish shields were better than this, I kind of like shields...

Thanks sy :) I will make multiple sets of weapons, kind of strange that dual wield is better than 2h though. but there is no difference now in for example scimitars and daggers? And is a mace better than others because it has the prayer bonus? Also should i prioritise on weapons with a quicker speed (of the same attack style)?

Hi there :) I haven't done much combat on my new (ironman) account and there was no eoc on my old account. I understand that (nearly) all weapons of the same metal do have the same dps? But they now only seem to differ in stab/slash and such. Now I am wondering, is it good to have weapons in all styles, and which weapon for which style is considered better? I am currently making my weapons myself (from steel) as I am an ironman (with a low combat right now). Thanks for the answers :) Edit: see below for my new question about smithing

Well not to make them not afk-able, but make it so that afking doesn't give as much XP as not afk. I heard this is what they are already doing, by letting the monsters not instantly attack you but wait a short time.

The issue is for both of these polls, they're kind of exclusive. You either do this or you don't do this, little to no middle ground. So you either ignore the large group that lost the poll or you ignore the larger group that won the poll. With some of the other polls they could say "ok, X won so we'll do that first, but Y was incredibly close so we're going to schedule that to be worked on after X is done". But these polls you can't really do that. But these polls also run the issue of why should marginally larger group Y get what they want when they are barely bigger than group X when what one group wants is directly detrimental to what the other wants. On a poll like this I think the fairest course of action would be making it a personal setting: If you want the realism etc you can have it turned on. If you don't leave it off. While I agree with your first sentence, I don't agree with your second one. Making toggles for everything is just strange imo. Also a toggle for bonus XP weekends on ironman doesn't make sense. Also I think we may already have to many toggles... I personally see no reason to have a legacy toggle when you can use revolution, except for the legacy only world. Deleting this toggle (and make it world-dependent) would solve part of the pvp problems. I think that on polls like these they should get feedback about why the disagreeing group doesn't want the change, then see if they can make a compromise (while also take into account why the agreeing group does want the change). For example with aggro monsters, lets say that the agreeing group (mostly) wants this to have the feeling of dangerous zones back, but the disagreeing group (mostly) doesn't want to have the change because of the monsters being AFK-able. The compromise would be to make them aggressive but not AFK-able. Sure this cannot be done with everything, but people are quick to assume that nay- and yes-sayers have the same priorities in why they voted for something, which most of the times isn't the case.

I didn't know that having no clothes on gives you stats now (kind of confusing if you don't expect that). But I see no difference in stats when wearing it or not :) if you want screenshots I can provide those. Also worth mentioning (the rswiki does this) is that F2P cannot use the 500 bonus XP you get as reward.

This is exactly why I chose to be a normal ironman :P I would just ragequit the game if that would happen. Also I am not to good in keeping my character alive... If you had a Jar of Divine Light in your bank, you could just continue as a normal ironman, right? I thought about it when creating my normal ironman account, but I would still feel sad about dying, and continue to feel like that when continuing with the character ;) But that might just be me :P
