Merchanting...a True Skill?
What people seem unable to understand is that many players, myself being one of them, absolutely love Merchanting. It can be a bit dull when you're selling Raw Materials, but it really gets interesting when you're dealing with Party Hats and other Rares. People often overlook the Rare Merchanting community, which is perhaps one of the strongest in the game. There's plenty of information being passed around, such as who sold what during that day, and this information is all relevant to the market. Every trade being made has a direct effect on the prices, so a skilled Merchant keeps track of just about EVERYTHING that takes place in Fally Park World 2. I have never met a Party Hat Merchant that has said it's boring to buy and sell in Fally Park. There are obviously downtimes, and some people don't have the patience to do it, but those people rarely have enough money to buy a Santa, let alone a Party Hat, so they really can't comment on the subject. I think the reason many people express such hate towards Merchants is because of isolated experiences that they use to generalize the entire Merchanting community. Just because some random person is rude, or asks for a ridiculously high amount of GP for an item does not mean he is a Merchant, and it definitely does not represent anything about Merchants in general. All these experiences show is that the Runescape community as a whole is one with very little manners, something that everyone usually learned after they hit level 5 combat. I used to merchant small rares all the time, as in masks, santas ect While i was making profit pretty much every deal they don't come around that often. I guess its different for the 'Party Hat' Merchant because you really are a small community. I have met many of you and let me tell you some are very, very cocky. No naming names but I'm sure you know who they are. I guess when you care about the item your working to sell and buy it changes, but unfortunatly i never really cared about what i was doing. Maybe i will go back into it sometime. I am however enjoying doing other activities now. As a pose to looking around the boards and standing in a park. I don't care about price manipulation or anything like that. If you have the money to do it more power to you.

Merchanting...a True Skill?
Not really when i merchanted i bought very low, sold very high. Theres where the money is. In raw materials you can charge what ever the hell you like if you have a massive bulk of them.

Merchanting...a True Skill?
I used to merchant. Boring, lonley and annoying. However its a great way to make money if you know what to do. It does depend on the stupididty of other people. I quit doing it a while ago as it was in no way fun.

Kill Count At The Barrows Experiment - In Progress
if your getting a new comp why dont you just unplug the harddrive from your current computer hook it up with the new computer and their you have it two harddrives on the one comp..unless either of them is a laptop of course. Broken one is getting replaced with new one by insurane. They are both laptops :P

did this ever happen to you?
Pking there is impossible. If i ever go pking (rarley do) then i go to the back of the wild. Everyone there, as you proved yourself tele's and so its a waste of food/time. But yea, if i lose something expensive it annoys me. Hasn't happened since i alched my whip.

Pfft, the rewards of ectoing are already great. Imagine getting new items with the tickets. It would be overkilling the rewards of ectoing.

Barrows For Lower Levels - ed 25 Oct 2006 (AOW discussion)
Eek, sorry i didn't respond sooner. I already said that you shouldn,t pot up before you go into the tomb, because its a waste of prayer and pots ect. Or at least i think I did, i'll have a read through. And Xengar, flames of zammy = waste of runes and bloods. Bloods are a huge source of income from barrowing and not getting these makes it even more inefficiant :!: However i hear claws of guthix is good to use but have never tried because im scared of the mage arena.

I duped my phat?
If he did not report that he now has a white phat sitting in his bank, from a bug in Jagex's system then it is bug abuse. Becuase he is gaining from the bug. Therefore abusing the bug. Its massivley unfair to other players who work hard, then bang this guy gets 120+ Million in his bank for no reason.
-
I duped my phat?
No because he didn't knwo it would happen, nor did he acutally choose to do it... Not reporting a bug and using it for your own gain = bug abuse. He has yet to report the bug and gained from the bug = bug abuse. People who dont report bugs and gain from them are people who comit bug abuse. Since they are abusing the bug in the game. Now it is intentional since he has gained from it, whether he meant to or not he should report it. (Yes, i know to much use of the word 'bug' in there). The bug itself is the server messing up and crashing. I'm sure they're aware of that and its side effects. What do you want for him to not gain from it? The other guy to drop the party hat? I was saying that if he did not report it to jagex, then it would be bug abuse. And yes, this is unfair for someone to have gained this much. Through no work, stats or anything like that.
-
I duped my phat?
Hmm.. i beleive you fabricated the part about me telling him to drop is phat. All i am saying that not reporting a bug, and gaining unfairly from that bug IS bug abuse.

TET Presents: Karaoke/Open Mic/Games Room!
Nope, no chess, but I've heard some rumors of a chess game being added there. Runelink is ok (never been a fan of it), Draughts rocks, but Runesquares and Runeversi are COMPLETELY about luck (unless you're an insanely genius person with an IQ of 200 and you can finish a Rubix Cube in under a minute). Just stick to Draughts and Runelink; don't bother with the other games. And as everyone has said, how in the hell are we going to do a Karaoke? Sure, I can understand the Comedy show (bet it'll be hilarious  ), but singing? by typing? :? Runeversi has some really easy strategy, (get the corners) that allowed me to win like the first 10 games I played easily the day it came out :P It's like the board game Othello. If its anything like the film Othello it shalt rock thy socks. I have only ever played that one near to the door, and i suck at it. So if you beat me, screw you in advance.
