I like the shots, actually. Never saw a crab, nevermind one up that close.

I never used the sight personally, but it depends on your items lost on death since it really matters on what gear you bring.

Shortbow is better for training because monsters have typically lower defence than players so the attack speed bonus would be more beneficial, and longbow sight is better for PKing (from personal experience in clanning).

Any gun is better than another gun if you're used to it. So use whatever you're good with. Takes experimentation, but yeah.

Well, I would prefer scanning with the ones I mentioned since they have a higher detection rate, especially for newer threats.
