only nubs drop trade... I've been around for awhile, and whenever i wanted to trade items from account to account, I would just double log or have a friend transfer it. Jagex lies, you don't get the banhammer from double logging.... it's been 5+ years of me doing it occasionally and i'm still here.

"You believe" it is mostly teams, apparently you haven't spent much time there... if you did you would notice that it is pking degraded to its lowest level. Everyone 1 items, and teams... it is pathetic at best. And knowing jagex there will definitely be a catch to the 1 v 1 arena, not to mention they most likely won't get around to implementing it for a couple months. I highly doubt they will allow 1 v 1 pking anything near what it used to be. most likely they will implement some points system, which if done correctly could work out well. I guess we'll just have to wait and see... in the meantime i'll be getting 99 ranged on my pure..... What do you mean "What it used to be"? I used to solo pk all the time, until it just became stupid. Couldn't solo at mage bank as you'd run into a team of about 10 people where most of the time you stood no chance and edge was just full of people that would run when they're down to 10 sharks, and you'd get pile jumped 90% of the time. It doesn't surprise me that Bounty hunter isn't doing well, the pking community has been rubbish for years now and I don't see that getting any better. However, that is not a problem with the game but with the people that play it and thus the only solution to the "problem" is for people to actually have respect for other people and a fair PvP system. If the 1 vs 1 PvP "minigame" is good which I'm sure it will be then I may just get back into pking. Oddly enough darkdude, i'm a vet from the gamefaqs board too, i remember you. I'm panda bears... was pretty well known on those boards... but i play only on my range pure now. Anyone who has been around knows pking is nothing like it was is rsc. But at least with the old wildy system you could choose who you fought and whether you were in multi or not. Give me that at least =D.

Personally, I think Jagex just has its collective hands full right now dealing with all the recent changes, tweaks, etc. My educated guess is that they are working on a suite of related changes to be implemented simultaneously in late Dec / early Jan that will plug the loophole your friend used and many others. In the meantime they are just ignoring minor infractions like these because they are busy. I suppose the real question is, are they merely turning the blind eye because they are busy preparing updates or are they incapable of detecting such infractions? I know jagex has certainly made some wild claims about things they are able to track... but through personal experience and watching my real life friends play, I severely doubt they are able to do half of what they claim they can do. I've broken or bent the rules many times over the past 6ish years i've played, on multiple accounts... and I have never even been black-marked. On one of my retired accounts, i even used a script to high-alch to 85 magic for me, never got banned. Granted that was about 2-3 years ago, so maybe detection has improved...

Ahhh... Along the lines of "Stop snitching", huh? Sorry, I would report ANYONE in the game for cheating. The same I would turn in ANY person who broke the law in real life. Tattling? No, it's doing the RIGHT THING. I know it's hard to do sometimes. But that's how people learn responsibility. They get caught, and they learn that breaking the rules has consequences. What good would reporting my friend do now? He might, might get banned from a video game? This sort of behavior repeats itself buddy, I am doing my friend a favor by not getting him caught... What greater lesson will he learn? Will he come away with more from this experience if I tattle and get him banned, or years down the road if he's done something far more serious and gets caught for that. People will do what they want to, we cannot shape someone elses decisions. Ultimately the final say is theirs.

I'm not going to call you or your friend liars, but sorry, something here is not adding up. Given the limitations currently in place, while I can see the possibility of a loophole being found, I cannot see how your friend could have exploited it without knowing how it works. Edit: I forgot that he gave them access to his account. It was almost certainly a GE-related exploit, and it will be plugged. Even if not, anyone doing this is asking to be banned. I think it will be treated like most major bugs in rs history. The first few to discover and use it, usually go unpunished. It is those caught using it multiple times, and after jagex is aware of it that reap the consequences.

I'm not going to report my friend in real life for cheating in a video game... grow up. Sure it is against the rules, and I may not like it... but i'm not going to go tattle to jagex about it. I was with my friend through the entire process so no, he doesn't know the methods qeltar. And don't you think it's quite the step to say someone is evil for cheating in a video game... he may be breaking the rules and in the wrong, but he didn't do anything evil, he cut a corner and bought success in a video game instead of spending countless hours earning it.

Of course you have REPORTED this to Jagex correct? Or are you openly supporting these RWT that have ruined our game? ANY company that violates rules to make money is "inherently evil". Their entire company is based on violating the rules. People don't want to work for what they want... this is a truth in life. Of course i don't LIKE it, but I live with it. And qeltar, I don't know what methods they use, i just watched my friend get the money and deal with the RWT's. They didn't go into detail about their methods. And about the companies being evil... is it the companies being evil? Or is it the persons supporting them? It's an economic fact, where there is a demand, there will be supply.

You guys seem to think that these companies are inherently evil... They may be questionably legal, at best. But they are still companies trying to turn a profit. It is in their best interest to not get you banned, and to not scam you. The best business is repeat business, or business from their friends spread through word of mouth. What other solution do you offer will_holmes. If I sat and watched 20 Mil appear in my friends inventory less than 2 hours after the purchase... it's pretty obvious there is some loophole, or the gp wouldn't be there.

Because will_holmes, my friend and I are both 18 he is going to do what he wants to do whether i remind him it is against the rules or not. Neither of us are idiots.... he has played around 3-4 years now i believe, and he used a new account with the trading restriction already in place. So you saying that by january when the restriction is in place RWT will be stopped, is only wishful thinking.

Sorry, but how exactly did you find out? Did you buy some gold? Did a friend buy some gold? or is this just a hunch, a try to make jagex look bad for these awesome updates that have stopped that have stopped both RWTing and autoing? I sat next to a friend in real life and watched him place the order on the website, talk to the operators on live chat, give them his account information... about an hour and 20 minutes later, he logs on with 20 mil in his inventory.

... 20 Mil in less than 2 hours.. is not 2 hours and 20 minutes for 2 mil. The point is they have found ways around Jagex's "amazing updates"

lol you know whats funny even though i know your being sarcastic? his signature has his recovery thing with 2002. i made an account in 2005 and jagex had a bug that set it to 2002 feb 27, infact i could probably check right now. if you have an account that you made after 2003 and put no recovery details on it then it switchs to 2002 feb 27 as some bug, tons of people has it, and he uses that as an excuse to say he plays for 6 years, but anyway if you ask him questions about the past he would be clueless. Yes, i am aware that the bug does exist. Please feel free to ask me any number of questions about how RS used to be... I've been there since right before the mask and santa drops.

You must be in middle-school because your attitude is entirely unnecessary and I merely stated how long i've been playing to show that after playing so long, pking was a constant source of entertainment. I'm not alone in thinking this way.... ask alot of pkers... for many of them it was the last great beacon of enjoyment left. It wasn't about the profits, it was about testing your hard earned skills against someone with similar stats against another human controlled character.

The world hopping wasn't in the game until like 3-4 years after RS had already been around... it has nothing to do with your character transferring or "saving." They only included it because people could hop servers and buy runes and other raw materials from shops for cheap prices and then when they had alot of them sell them to players for jacked up prices.... thats how i got my first set of full rune, buying feathers from the fishing shop in port sarim and re-selling for 50 each.... that hasnt' worked since before rs2 though.

May i ask you could you have created a better update? Im guessing not... so stop looking for faults and be happy that jagex has stopped autoers. As soon as they see this happening they will start paying much more atention to IP address's. Did you even send a e-mail to JaGeX telling them of this or did you just come here and complain about a great update? you know why i'm complaining about the updates??? Because of after 6+ years of being a member and supporting this game, the last enjoyable aspect that I shared with my friends in this game was pking. Every Saturday night we would be on at the same time, and watch eachother pk. It was a blast, we didn't break the rules, none of us drop traded on our pures, we were "honorable." I spent countless hours and well over $300 on this game, and jagex removed any viable way for my friends and I to have our fun. No doubt you're gonna shout BH BH! At me. HAve you been to the BH??? How can you even pretend that the level ranges are fair in the BH, and then even if you are the top level of the cave... there are almost always teams set up ready to ko you. That is not pking, that is a gross mutated child of how pking used to be. At least with the wildy, you could CHOOSE what combat level you were fighting, and you could CHOOSE whether or not you were in a mutli combat area. After removing all of those aspects of the game for the hope of eliminating RWT, I'm PISSED OFF that they weren't even successful in doing so. The only thing thats changed is the RWT's are charging a little more for the gold... they aren't inconvenienced, and they sure as hell are still making a profit off of RS. They would always find a way around RWT but since the update ive heard JaGeX have been paying alot more attention to changing IP addresses. Also yes BH is a absolute mess... i like to think of it as a glorified varrock pk area on f2p servers. Spending 300$ on something where you could never be certain of will it always be fun and enjoyable wasnt really a good idea. And on a saturday night... im sorry but you should have alot funner things to do than log onto RS and go pking with pixilised friends. Also did you even send a e-mail to JaGeX outlining the new methods or did you just come here and complain? I'm not alone in spending so much money on membership... and 5 dollars a month?? You have to be 6 years old for that to be significant to you. But over the years it does add up. Oh, so now you are the judge of what I can and can't do on a saturday night? Hate to burst your bubble, but in college.... the parties don't start until 11-12 at the earliest. That gives me plenty of time to hop onto RS, with my REAL-LIFE friends and pk before i go out and have a good time. I don't know the methods, i just know that it requires 1.1 mil and that it takes less than 2 hours for 20 mill to be transfered. You can choose to not believe me and go on dreaming that the RS community is a utopia.... but you will be sorely mistaken.

you obviously don't understand RWT companies at all then.... a legitimate RWT company wouldn't screw over their customers because 1, legal action could be taken and 2, they make much more off of your continued business.
