  1. From what i've observed, the higher level players are the ones who seem to be doing the most immature things. Generally the mid/high level pure/pking accounts I have encountered are all respectable, ask for fights, and say gf/gl and don't complain if they die. I have a level 83 range tank and I have encountered very few immature pkers compared to how many immature 110+'s i've seen pking at edgeville since the bh update. My personal opinion is that the 110+'s that are pking in edgeville are for the most part new to pking and that is the reason for the immaturity. Typically if one has created a mid/high level pure and or pking account they have been around the block and know how true pker's act. my .02
  2. good luck, my old main was banned in the mass bannings of '05. I sent in my latest appeal earlier today too :? Good luck to you too then haha. I still feel like they went about things wrong back in the day, but I can understand why they did what they did. I will not understand how they don't unban someone for something they did 5 years ago, the differences in a person's personality can change night and day over that period of time I hear you, I was only 15 back then and i'm 20 now... there is such a massive difference in a person those 5 years. Not to mention there isn't even any "evidence" you'd think they would let a 4 year old ban with no evidence go... but it is jagex, so i doubt my account will get unbanned
  3. i hate you... i'm still waiting on my first main from rsc that was banned in 2005 to be unbanned.

  5. how can you even bother to get non combats up, now that your account is completed?!!!? the low-mid level 80's are so weak in the BH worlds right now! I've been dominating them with my range-tank and he's not even close to being maxed yet... I shudder to think what that pure could do to the kids i've been fighting in world 65
  6. to be perfectly honest, people like you are like the holiday bonus for pkers. There isn't much you can do besides super set up and hope they have low attack.
  7. you wanna know why pking went downhill? It went down hill because there was a huge explosion in the runescape population, not many of the older, respectable pkers are still around and all that are left are copy cats. If you don't enjoy pking, then don't pk. But for the most part, the "unwritten rules" of pking are there for everyone's benefit. OF COURSE pkers complain if you use a protect from x prayer in a fair fight... all it accomplishes is slowing down the damage rate of your fight, in the end it is a waste of food for both of you. Safing isn't just annoying, it's a stupid strategy, by allowing the other person to get extra rounds on you while you're busy guzzling down your sharks. I'm from the old tip.it and the old runescape... pkers used to be respected, all this board is filled with are people who hate on pures and pkers. If i had a dollar for everytime I read a generalization of pures/pkers on this board, i would be quite wealthy. While I would agree that there are many immature pkers, it isn't so different from the number of immature skillers. You may say pkers are so immature/rude/disrespectful etc... but think about it, you're seeing all of the immature pkers in one concentrated area (pvp worlds, bh, etc) I'm sure if you gathered up all of the immature people skilling in one place there would be just as much to gripe about. I empathize with you man, I get disgusted by the things said while i'm pking too but that is no reason to generalize the pvp public. If you are respectful and don't do stupid crap like safing/protect praying in a fight you'll get alot more "fair" fights... you may not understand the "rules" of pking but the "rules" are there for a reason by people who pk for their gee pee pee. In the end it just allows quicker fights.
  8. honestly... this is what jagex should have done in the first place for the RWT updates, but I guess they learned from their mistakes.
  9. ROFL there was no balance in the combat triangle before whips. Archer's were by far superior to the other two types of pking. That's why they nerfed the msb special. Pre-whips was when there was a huuuge explosion of range pures.
  10. there are my stats. I really don't want to have to defense train all the way to 99 with chins, and i don't want to get melee stats... so if I maxed out at 99 ranged at 70 defence i would be around level 94. Would 70 defense be enough at that level to keep me from getting spec'd to fally in two seconds? 99 ranged does serious damage, but if 70 defense isn't high enough to allow me to stay on the offensive then i would pretty much be a glass cannon.
  11. It has nothing to do with teaching anything or pushing ideas. You cannot consciously choose your sexual orientation. Well as you said before, you believe that there is something in their genetics as proven by science, but not everyone believes that, but that is another debate for another time. But if Jagex were to do this, they would be pushing the message for gay marriage and saying that everyone should support it, but not all parents think that way. Therefor, the parents should be able to discuss this matter, (gay marriage), with their children as they wish. I am a man of science and logic, not opinion. There are proven biological differences between heterosexuals and homosexuals. I think the most reason people think it is a choice is because their religion tells them so, or because homosexuals do not want to feel that they are "incorrect"... but people with disabilities do just fine. Stephen Hawking is almost fully paralyzed, but he doesn't go around trying to convince people that he is "normal". All this debate on whether it's biologically set, or a choice, stems from mental insecurity. We should simply accept all of ourselves for who we are, and continue on with our lives as normal. No one should feel ill towards themselves or others because there is something wrong with their body. My feet are somewhat misaligned. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed. No matter. One more thing I forgot to mention: only a male and female mammal together, can reproduce. Two males or two females cannot. Yes, this is a simple fact but it cannot be overlooked. I'd advise you to read the following excerpt, and perhaps the full article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology_an ... rientation): i'm not particularly going either way in the socialisation vs. genetics debate as far as homosexuality is concerned, however, I don't think it is a valid point to say that just because there are biological differences in homo males and hetero males, proves that homosexuality is in some form genetic. There is a pretty massive biological difference between the brain of a "normal" person and that of an addict. There is some proof pointing towards addiction being a genetic trait, however, there are addicts who do not show this same genetic difference. However, ALL addicts brain composition and chemical interactions are different from a normal persons. In the case of an addict, it was the addicts choice that caused the biological difference. So to rule out socialization based purely on the fact that there are biological differences is pretty short sighted.
  12. failing out of a pre-pharmacy program my freshman year of college because i was too busy partying to do homework. blowing through the 24 grand i had in my savings account in 6 months immediately after high school. Having my girlfriend of 2 years break up with me because she wanted to be single her senior year of high school and i was leaving for college. Finding out that my 9 year old half-sister was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Moving in with my dad/stepmom to help with my sister... only to find out 2 months later that my 12 year old half-brother was also diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and had to have his left leg amputated below the knee. Taking my sister's left over morphine pills to numb the pain. 2 weeks later over-dosing on liquid lorazepam and blacking out for 3 days straight and waking up in the hospital to have my parents ask me to go to a rehab clinic. spending 31 days in rehab. and finally, having to go to community college one more year until going to a 4 year university because of blowing my money and failing my freshman year... all of that to say, don't do drugs a year later and i'm still paying for my mistakes. fail enough for you?
  13. i'm surprised no one remembers the bandages bug?? When castle wars first came out there was a way of getting bandages out of castle wars into the normal rs world... no big deal right? The CATCH is that bandages didn't count as "food" in the duel arena. So a relatively small number of stakers stockpiled these bandages and waited a few days until jagex had fixed the bug so that you could no longer take the bandages out of castle wars, however, these people already had a number of bandages in the bank. All of a sudden high stakes duels were being rigged and quite a number of unfortunates lost p hats and other large sums of money because of this bug. It was fixed pretty shortly after that, but rumors persisted for a good half a year of some people still having small amounts of bandages left.
  14. tks was #1 before zezima, no doubt, but tks wasn't number 1 for nearly as long as zezima was. zezima has always been fairly well known since he got 99 smithing... he was the first to offer free rune smithing which drove down the then, ridiculous prices for rune armour and r2h's. zezima will always be known as the top because so many youngin's are awe struck by him and his story. Just as bluerose13x will always be known, it's just how it goes.
  15. Macroer: And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling randoms! honestly, if a macroer is stopped by a random... they aren't using very good scripts and will be auto banned by the system in a few days lol.
  16. I remember the day tks took over #1 overall and I saw her later in the little hut with the anvils below the dwarven mines I was like pmgawd! \
  17. adventurer was the best class to start with because you started with a super rare tinderbox!!!! I started adventurer on every class because i couldn't figure out where to get a tinderbox on my own for the life of me lol
  18. started playing when i was 14... and I'm now 20! Where has all the time gone, haha. I've been off and on those 6 years... I must say it is getting harder to tolerate the community now a days. A lot has changed but then again so has my perspective in those 6 years so who am i to judge.
  19. I think a better analogy would be its the difference between linux and windows vista... the hardcore computer users prefer linux, while your everyday computer user prefers teh accessibility of vista.
  20. Of course they're going to complain... for many pkers, pking was the MAIN REASON they played... now i assume you are a skiller since you seem to have so many negative sentiments towards pkers. Well what the eff would you do if Jagex changed skilling in such a way that it was no longer enjoyable to you, and then a week later they posted that they would change it to give you back some enjoyment... you just have to wait 6 months... 6 months is a long time, especially in a video game. Do you have any idea how much in Runescape you can do in six months?? That is pretty much 6 months wasted for those who only enjoy single pvp. I'm not complaining, because I just don't play until the 1 v 1 comes out.... But all I can say is that jagex better do it right, because many pkers subscriptions ride on it. Also i think you seriously underestimate the number of subscriptions jagex gets from pkers... I myself have had 5 different subscriptions running at the same time. Many pkers have multiple subscriptions, and are far more likely to have multiple subscriptions then just a skiller.
  21. Well, maybe it was HIS FAULT FOR WALKING INTO THE WILDERNESS! So you never went into the wildy not knowing what it was? Once the first week I started playing 5-6 years ago... from then on, the wilderness was glorified in my mind. The highest honor in the game to me, was running around the wildy looking for players to fight. Now, I've adapted my range pure that went from 1-80 range in 1 week!!!!! Is now a tanker with prayer... i'll prolly do barrows on it until 1 v 1 arena comes out. But since most people praising this date are self-sufficient skillers, please try to understand that pking was a big enough aspect of the game for someone to play solely for that reason. I supported you guys when fatigue was introduced before sleeping bags, why can't a pker get a lil respect? I am afterall your peer, you enjoy other aspects of the game then me and to that I say to each his own. But I don't bash the fact that you like to skill so please show us some courtesy and realize that our favorite aspect of the game has been mutilated and horribly so, until tweaks are made and if the 1 v 1 arena is good.
  22. I don't consider myself a generous person or even amiable most times. But everyone has those moods late at night where they just wanna be chat and be helpful. A couple of weeks ago i was camped at the fire giants for a good week and I rememberl at least 6 instances where someone who was relatively new to the game didn't realize that you didn't have to wear glarial's ammy once you enter. I gave them my glory at least 5 times since i was about to bank anyway... that is 50kish, so after jan 1st., it is much harder to randomly support players. My mantra used to always be that I would try to undo some of the negative aspects of the runescape community by being nice (in small ways) to random people who didn't expect it... believe it or not it goes a looong way in shaping players opinions about some of the other people in this game. 50k isn't alot ot me and most players of this game... but to some newer players that is a small fortune. it is just sad that players won't be able to give small gifts like that after the 1st. I know many are sick of the complaints but realistically... something very important to the positivity of the Runescape Community is going to be lost after the 1st. They got rid of alot of negative, sure, but it certainly is worth noting what positives will be lost.
  23. I've actually found merchanting to be easier. Before the GE i didn't have the patience to do much merchanting. It is all about finding your niche and sticking to it. I made around 3.5-4 mill today and I only did around 3 transactions. If you know how your market is going to react and you have enough starting cash it is much easier to merchant then it used to be. Except now the name of the game is bulk. Before the GE good luck trying to sell an item in bulk this quickly, not to mention when dealing with large amounts of cash, often times the amount of an item you are buying, the numbers are odd. Find an item that has definite demand, but not too much supply. Buy it for either the market price or slightly higher/lower than the average price. Then re-sell for maybe 5-10 gp more depending on the original price of said item. If buyers will actually buy at that new price.... then you're golden and you found your niche. I found what i merch... but If I tell everyone what i merch, then it would make it harder for me... so figure it out kiddies!
