3_hit_u was hardly the first pure, or even black pure for that matter... however he became the most widely known black pure... and if i remember correctly one of, if not THE first black pure to max out.

it's actually a pretty useful ko weapon even without the special. if you use the msb for your quick attack and switch to the d bow, its basically like a free msb spec. i've gotten plenty of ko's with non spec 24-25 hits from a dbow.

i've been to rehab... i think i know more then some pre-teen about addiction and the forms it can take.

tbh i'm fine with most of the updates... i just wish that they had left the old skull system, removed protect item from pvp/bh worlds. That way pures could still fight with furys/ss's without risking them... now there are like 3 times as many people ranging in the 80-90 cb level range... which is making my range tanks equipment shoot up and most of it currently unbuyable because of people stocking up to make a profit when the prices go up.

that's because you don't pk. Those of us who pk aren't desperate for money... we pk for the fun and challenge... I would rather respawn with no items in my inventory and had a solid, good, fair fight... then be standing over a pile that i did something nubby to earn. pking is only about "getting a kill no matter what" when you are strapped for cash or haven't been pking long enough to truly appreciate pking... I was the same way you were i would pj and do anything nooby to get a pile when i started pking in 01 because i was strapped for cash... but years later, I could care less if my entire bank gets whiped, i can re-earn the cash in a few days and be right back to pking... At the end of the day whether i've died or piled multiple people, i can still smile knowing that i fought fair fights and win or lose, I enjoyed myself.

To me this seems like an invitation to go and use all the power and forces i have at my will. There are many things that 'pro honor-pkers' would say aren't honorable, such as: Safing, Teleporting, Farcasting, Pjing, Running (From Dms or just running), Praying and theres a few more I assume. I left out 26king because it would be too much effort to go into it. Safing. For those who don't know, safing is when you eat a piece of food (take a sip of brew) when you have reasonably high hp. Scenario: I'm fighting a guy with a high strength and im 1 iteming like the complete noob i am. Obviously i don't want to die so I AM GOING TO EAT WHEN I FEEL LIKE EATING some would say it doesn't benefit you in the long run, but idc, as long as i dont get KOED, which for me is BAD Teleporting. Pretty self explanitary Scenario: I've gone deeper for a bit more fun, a group of mages start attacking me, do I want to get owned? NO, SO I TELE + LIVE. Jagex put teleport restrictions in to stop me, but thats why i rarely venture past level 20 wilderness Farcasting. When you mage, often with freeze spells, from far away so they cannot damage you. Scenario: I've just completed Desert Treasure and I'm ecstatic! I can now use these holy spells which will drastically help me in the art of Pking! I see a guy skulled in full bandos and a partyhat. 'Wow, thats a lot of risk' so I attack him in the hopes of getting a good drop and make it easy on myself by not letting him hit me back. Pjing. When you attack somebody just after they've finished a fight and often have low hp. Often done with special attacks. Scenario: I've spent 50m? on my new D Claws, I've heard the spec on them is awesome, and im skulled. I'm risking alot so I want some good drops, 2 guys have just finished slugging it out and one of them gets the KO whilst on mid-low hp. I see my oppurtunity and pounce. I get a nice drop and get called a few names. An easy kill. Running. Self explanatory. Scenario: I'm getting killed bad, so i decide against wasting my food, and leg it while i have a chance. Unfortuneately the guy said it was a DM (Deathmatch) so for some reason its against the rules for me to run. I do it anyway. Praying. Using protection paryers to give myself an advantage. Scenario: I'm in F2P getting hit like made, I've saved up all my cash and bought 43 prayer the week before. The guy opposite me is clearly using superhuman strength as he hits his constant 20+s so i think, this is my time! I flick on my prayer and suddenly his hits are less frequent, and I come out victorious. Those are some of the main 'non honorable pking' methods that I myself, use frequently. It gives me an advantage which I have earned. Why would i get 43 prayer if i'm not going to use it? Why would i let myself die in a dm when i could easily click a teletab and survive? Finally I would like to say, for those who oppose me. There is a nice building near Al Kharid. It is called the duel arena. This is where you can fight people on whatever terms you want. You don't want them to run? well make it so they can't run. THE WILDERNESS HAS NO RULES and its not up to other people to make them. [/rant] i've been pking since 01... and believe it or not, pking back then at least had something to do about respect. If you had to "save up" for 43 prayer, then you really only show yourself as the noob that you are. You picked the perfect forums to rant about pking... because this forum has put true pkers to the wayside, it's become cool to hate on pures and pkers... I don't know when or how that changed... but on the old forums the graveyard section had the most posts on it by far. Congrats you joined the "hate on pkers band wagon".

i'm a range tank... and i hope they don't release a dragon c'bow. Ranged is already overpowered... the intro of a more powerful c'bow would really just make pking too easy.

the blunt truth is, that you sir, are bad at this game. If you are so stubborn so as to try and kill mages with pure melee then you deserve to die... and you will, repeatedly. The end all be all is that range is the most powerful combat type, especially at mid and lower levels.

first off the definition of a pure does not mean 1 def so please don't post if your a dip [cabbage] and don't know anything. A pure can be defined as many things including "having no faults" There are many types of pures in this game. Such as: 1 def melee pure. 1 def range pure. 20 def Initiate pure. 30 def proselyte pure. 45 def rune pure. 70 or 75 def barrows pure ( not sure whatone it is ) 70 def DH pure. Then there are: 70 def Tank. 99 def Tank. please don't post stupid comments unless you know what you are talking about thank you i agree there are pures up to 45def and just 99def 1 everything else pures. im guessing your one of those wannabe "barrow pures"? lmao you fail your not a pure at all your a failed pure you are actually a main. a tanker is not a pure neither so before you think you know what a pure is get your fact straight failure. chill out. Barrow's pures are pure and tanks are pures as well... The whole idea behind a pure is being extremely powerful for your level... the ability to fight like a much higher level than you actually are. Both barrow's pures and tanks fight that description.

That's for low lvls. it works for mid levels up to the mid-upper 90s as well. But it's the same concept for any level... use a fast attack and switch to a slow heavy one for the ko...

come into the tip.it chat "forsakenmage" there are alot of people around your cb level who 26k often.

bring range pots super defence pots. use rune knives and switch to cbow with dragon bolts (e) for the ko.

Everyone? You sure? How is 26k'ing these new items different than 26k glitching to get pvp items? You're still bringing in wealth with little to nothing going out. Alching is irrelevant to this, considering alching brought a LOT of inflation to Runescape. Too bad. First a cool running update comes, then they mess it up a week later with this crap. Unless you get mini-game/boss monster items the way they were intended; from mini-game/bosses. I know, god forbid Jagex not cater to the tiny minority that call themselves pkers. Aside from the telly update, these updates actually DO cater to pkers. I'm a pker... its what I enjoy most about the game and do the most. Getting items for pure cash was much more beneficial for me as a pker than waiting for half the junk you used to get from pvp to sell in the GE. There isnt' much to worry about actual pkers causing any inflation. Because someone who spends the majority of their time pking is going to be taking a lot of gp out of the economy through use of consumables anyway. The only effect the economy will suffer is from people who don't normally pk that are 26king... and even then, i really don't think its going to be as drastic as everyone is making it out to be.

with your stats... i would stay as far away as possible from p2p pvp. By your combat there are already pkers with 99 str, magic, and or ranged. If you want to make that account competitive, either get 99 ranged or get your strength up.

you should be able to get some kills with your stats how they are. People most likely call you failed because frankly, for your combat level 80 defense is very high on a pking account. 70 defense works great at that level and it would have allowed you to have a much higher ranged level. But even with 90 ranged you should be hitting 45+ still with dbolts (e).

they probably say it because you have very low ranged for your level while pking. At combat 94 i'll have 70 def and 99 ranged... you just chose to get 80 def when you could of have 99. You are a good work in progress like my tank... but right now, as a ranger for your level, you have a low ranged level.

i wished they hadn't added tellys... it was pretty unnecessary. You could already telly with a glory or game necklace, and it actually at least takes timing to pull off one of those tellys while being attacked. Now its right back to tellying every time a fight does look like its going their way.

a friend of mine introduced it to me 8 years ago at his birthday party... i thought it sucked at first because he only showed me lumbridge. A few months later i was in a college for kids website building program and started playing fo realz.

technically you're wrong. if you have higher than 147 att and str then your combat level is formulated by melee, not ranged. wat is the point of being mage/range/melee base anyways? does it give a better performance thing or wat? because a maxed out range tank with 99 def, 99 hp, 99 ranged and 52 prayer is cb level 104... if you have higher than 147 attack and strength then you would be above level 104.

It has more to do with the internet's annonymity than it does age and or maturity. On the internet you can say whatever you want, do whatever you want with no direct real life consequences... people are bound to be d-bags here and there. i'm 20 years old... so i don't fit in the teenager category and most of the time i play i either stick to myself or i'm relatively helpful... but everyone has bad days and there are plenty of times i've been a d-bag to someone. Also, there really aren't very many women who play the game compared to guys. I find girl's that use runescape as an opportunity to get e-attention more annoying than anything else in this game. I mean really... can't we just leave the e-attention whoring to myspace?

i play it at my college library in between classes and i'm 20 years old now... so when i was younger and playing in rsc runescape wasn't as well known as it is now, so i kinda missed the generation where alot of kids played it when they were younger. But i'm surprised how many people comment on me playing runescape when they notice it walking by, alot of people say that they used to play and that it was crazy fun. I'm not ashamed of playing runescape... i just don't feel the need to bring it up, unless someone starts a conversation with me about gaming. I especially don't mention it when talking to the ladies... because, well at 20 years old... the ladies aren't exactly impressed when you tell them you play video games often.
