  1. Yes, Yes, and no. Since bosses are generally rather fun and no one wants to risk their stuff I said heavily botted. Although there IS a dg bot, I don't think it's widely used; DG is considered fun by a lot of people afterall, plus DG is rather complex meaning the bot has very poor performance (so I've heard.) Slayer is botted too, I know this, but combat/slayer is considered more fun and less of a grind so people are less likely to bot it. I haven't noticed many slayer bots (actually not sure if I've noticed one) but that means nothing... Not actually that sure on slayer, but I really don't believe DG is heavily botted. false. the 1 good dg bot is actually getting quite popular, and it doesn't perform poorly at all. it's around 30-35k/hr which adds up quick for a bot. Just out of curiosity, how is it you are so knowledgeable on current botting trends? Because I don't like being in the dark about whats going on in regards to the botting community, i have the 3 major botting communities forums bookmarked. Sadly enough their forums are also alot more active than tip.it is these days haha.... probably because they all have more time to post since they're botting and not playing :P

  3. >war tort it's clearly because he's botting and just toggled off the paint  notice the 2 fally tabs when he only needs 1... one of the more popular and flawless free frost bots withdraws 2 fally tabs instead of 1 every bank trip and sets up your inventory in that exact order and withdraws 1k cannon balls every trip. That exact spot his cannon is sitting on is one of the 4 spots supported by the bot. it also doesn't support a yak yet, hence the war tort and the super blacking out of everything.
  4. Inactive accounts being taken out of the lsit can't possibly explain that kind of inaccuracy. I made the account superman3434, which is number 58 on the list, and hardly ever played it after the day it was created. In fact I didn't even remember making the account until i was going through my old computer's documents and re-discovered the information for the account. I just started leveling it as a pure for when the 10 year capes come out, it will be interesting to have a 10 year vet cape'd pure haha. It had gained a total of like 4 levels and yet remained #58 on the list, so i'm not sure we can assume inactive players were deleted from the list.
  5. when boxing NEVER USE THE STRENGTH OPTION. Runescape mechanics give you an invisible +3 stat bonus depending on which attack style you've chosen.... If you use kick you are essentially giving up 3 free attack levels so that you can hit a max of 115 instead of 112... Someone who understands switching while boxing will clean out someone kicking a vast majority of the time.
  6. New players like deaf deserve gifts like that. Right before free trade was taken away I had given about 2 mil worth of items to a struggling new player and he was extremely grateful.... everytime i turn my pm to "on" he still remembers me and talks to me haha it's kinda gratifying to see a level 80 something who's broke turn into a 130+ with a bank nearly as good as mine and he still remembers you and is grateful!
  7. jagex took down the biggest free bot site and the url is still currently controlled by jagex. However, they just relocated to a different url a couple days later. Jagex can basically only win these lawsuits because of copyright issues... if a site is careful enough it isn't worth Jagex's time/resources to take them to court. There are 100's of sites that you pay for access to bots most of them are resell sites for the nexus bot so jagex went after the creators of the actual nexus bot, but i haven't heard any news about how that suit was going and haven't bothered to look into it anymore. (I read about it probably like 7 months ago or so)
  8. Contrary to popular belief jagex's account recovery system is nearly fully automated, a group of people (myself included) found out a pretty reliable way to recover accounts that were never in our possession that had been inactive since 01-03ish. I've only ever recovered a few accounts this way and stopped doing it a few years ago, but when this became more well-known a lot of people started going through old saved databases of hiscores lists and recovering accounts that had high skills for being back in the day. This resulted in many old inactive accounts being recovered with rares on them. By now about 3 years after this was found out pretty much all of the inactive accounts that are easy to recover have been picked over. I think this accounts for why there are still so many rare items in circulation when most of the people who played back then have quit. Jagex is aware that their recovery system can be abused like this, and if you try to send in about 5-7 account recoveries your i.p. actually gets banned from filling out recoveries for an hour. I don't condone doing shady things like this, but just thought i'd shed some light on the subject that most players probably aren't aware of.
  9. It's because you do bot dfser ;D I know what you're saying. 9 months ago the account i'm playing right now was a level 65 black pure from 2002, now i'm combat 128 with the charms for 132 combat, 95 prayer, 3 non-combat 99's and over 101 million total xp. I've been called a botter many times because most of the time i'm on the clan chat tab instead of paying attention to public, it's always funny to try and see them explain away how i could have possibly botted nearly 100 million experience in 9 months without getting banned. People who don't know how to be anywhere near efficient with their playing time will always accuse people who make good progress in little time of either botting or no-lifing because it makes them feel better about themselves if they have an excuse for why your account is better than theirs is. That's just how children/pre-teens/angry teen's logic works. - Panda P K
  10. The website you're talking about is back up and running under a different domain name... Jagex only controls their old domain, nothing else.

*facedesk* We've been over this a thousand times, do we need to walk you through why it was necessary again? We still have the wilderness on BH worlds, so clearly, removing the wilderness was not necessary. Making a change to the trade limit and re-working how our drops worked in pvp was necessary. There is no reason why jagex had to take away pking as we all knew and loved it for 2 years, until they finally conceptualized BH worlds. I offered a suggestion eerily similar to BH worlds the week of the RWT updates, it was the first thing that came to my mind and yet it took the development team 2 years to make it a reality. There were hundreds of suggestions by frustrated pkers the weeks after the RWT updates many of them were realistic and would have solved the RWT problem without drastically changing pvp in runescape as it was.
  12. I'm an 80's baby, so technically yes, i was alive in the 80's... I wasn't the most functional member of society yet, but i was alive.
  13. The richest players in runescape have either been on the cutting edge of a new update that allowed them to take advantage of a new high priced item (the first to 85 slayer when whips originally went for 60+mil and were then stable at around 30 mil for quite awhile) or started hoarding rares when they were introduced. Now, i'm an old school player my original account is #58 on the first 2k to register for rs (superman3434) however i didn't seriously start playing rs until 02ish, and have rarely used superman3434. And yet i'm not super-rich, you know why? Because most people who started back then and still play are in their low to mid 20's putting them in their pre-teen years when rs started. Not too many pre-teens thought that 9-10 years later they would still be playing this game and that they should hoard discontinued items, until of course party hats started to become valuable and then by the time masks and santas were dropped everyone kept them. For being an "old school" player i only have around 600 mil that is actually from lower rares that i kept back when they were dropped, but it would have been incredibly easy for my account to be worth billions if i had collected rares when they were near worthless. I still remember selling santas/masks the day after the drop for 50k each. There is a level of rich held by people with accounts like mine that just so happened to keep rares that could have never been obtained by normal means except through staking, and now more recently with monster hunting being such a primary way to make GP and manipulation clans, it has become much more possible to reach this level of uber-rich. Think of it this way, in 2005-07 You basically had to grind your way to 300milish to buy a party hat with much slower money makign methods and without many "lucky" drops that could make you instantly richer, now-a-days, a player can make millions just from doing dailies and farm runs if you add a fairly average money making method to that even with a 4-5 hour playing time it isn't unreasonable to make 10 mill a day. Also, if one were so inclined to become "uber-rich" he could do dailies to make easy, quick gp and continually farm the corp until he gets a divine. With ONE lucky drop from a boss it is now possible to obtain a party hat. Never before in the history of runescape has it been possible to obtain the status of owning a party with one simple drop from a monster.
  14. Don't expect respect just for a cape. My two "hardest" 99's are agility and mining, agility probably required just as much clicking as firemaking because the xp/rate is so much slower than FM. The reason FM is hated on is because of how cheap it is and how fast the xp/rate is. I don't hate on FM because I would never want to do it myself, but it just goes with the territory of wearing a cape with a fast xp rate that doesn't have a 200mil+ price tag.
  15. With the addition of the GE and GE graphs every kid and their mother considers himself a merchant these days. If you notice on almost every system update that impacts an item even slightly there are always dramatic price swings for that item and any item related to it... rarely are these swings caused by an update themself but by people panic buying/selling or trying to profit off of the update. It is how the player base reacts to updates that generallly causes the price fluctuations. No market is perfectly stable in real life or in RS, price fluctuations are a part of life. They are going to happen whether i take advantage of them or not, so i might as well sell and re-buy my items just like 80% of the rs population does and come out ahead instead of having no change in my bank value or a negative change in my bank value.
  16. That sounds nice in theory, but for those of us who like to protect our bank's value small fluctuations in the market like this are a great time to do a sell then re-buy and both protect the value of your bank and make a couple extra mill on the side. I bought a green mask one day for 82 mill and change then re-sold it the next day for 87, that's just a small example of what you can accomplish with a little bit of knowledge, a whole lot of timing, and a little bit of luck.
  17. I bought a mask set in G.E. I'm not a short term investor and while working towards 99 rc i'm trying to earn a decent return on some medium/long-term investments. Within the next 6 months to a year can I expect to see masks to slowly start rising again? It isn't a huge deal if they keep crashing as I don't mind keeping them around just to keep some nostalgia in my bank, but just wondering if i can expect to see them start to rise again?
  18. Bandos is the best looking armor in the game. In my opinion at least. That's the only reason i even own it.... i hardly ever actually use it to kill anything, but it looks cool for pictures/hanging out. 50 mil isn't very impressive, but it looks cool.
  19. I think it's more fair to say that in the modern era of runescape (2006+), skilling has never been great money. The only skilling that really had potential for serious gp was 91+ runecrafting and 85+ mining. Until the KBD came out there was no boss to hunt and killing monsters for gp was terrible except for selling herbs. Monsters just didn't have good drops. That is when skilling reigned supreme as a cash generator... but even then with staking and pking you could make much more per hour than skilling, potentially.
  20. Because Jagex's quests contain your standard amount of monty python references, childish (imo) humor and uninteresting premises. Not everyone plays this game for jagex's storyline or enjoys quests. I recently obtained ancient curses. Can you guess what the most tedious part of that process was for me? Not the 200ish mil gp required or grinding out the 8.7 some mil xp for 95 prayer... it was doing the stupid quests in order to make the level i just spent hours grinding for xp and gp, useful.
  21. You aren't very perceptive are you? Flawless graahking scripts have been out for the past couple years, some of them paid, some of them free. Abyssal demons is a relatively new fad to botters and the only reason they aren't more obvious is because of the 85 slayer pre-requisite. If they can't be bothered to get 85 slayer many botters can also just bot soulwars for 3 weeks and have enough zeal for 85 slayer and then camp abyssal demons. If players actually pay attention to people around them and not always give them the benefit of the doubt you realize the sheer amount of people who bot this game... it's disheartening. I think it's hilarious the number of people who think all of those 1 defense pures with untrimmed hunter capes are actually legit when in fact the vast majority of them botted their stats, and their d claws.
  22. OP is correct about raw material prices, however, those ge graphs are incorrect. The bots AREN'T down for "days" after an update. The bot clients are usually fixed within 7-8 hours of an update, on update days i make a boatload of cash killing green drags while the bots are down so i keep a tab open on some cheat sites so I know when the bot clients get updated and when the inevitable crowd of silent slayas start showing up I know it's time to move on. The longest I can remember the client being down was 2 days when dungeoneering came out because jagex did like 4-5 system updates the day of and the days after releasing dungeoneering... but that's highly unusual.
  23. I think for those of us who have played long enough to really have "grown up" with the game this is very true. I've played since the absolute beginning of Runescape so we're talking a good 9 years of my life... A lot happens to you in 9 years, when you go from 12-21 and continue to play the same game, the way you are going to play that game will change. I find absolutely no interest in getting to know anyone in the public chat area of runescape. I dont' talk to anyone in public unless they're asking me questions or unless they start the conversation and I don't want to be impolite. However, as soon as you get the inevitable "add to friends?" I always log out and switch worlds. I just don't have almost anything in common with the age group of 13-17 that makes up the vast majority of players. I also think that clan chats have changed Runescape quite a bit. No one feels the need to socialize through forums as much anymore or through public or pm because your "friends" in runescape are generally in the same clan chat. If it weren't for the clan chat i frequent i would never talk to anyone while playing runescape. And yet, even within the clan chat i've frequented for a good 2 years there are people from that younger generation that I can get annoyed with quite easily, but i dont' hold it against them or think any less of them because of it. When i was 14-17 I had a friends list full of people on runescape too because you just have more in common with the average runescaper at that age. On the rare occasion i tell someone how old I am in public chat it's always the same "amg, you're 21 and you still play this game?~~@!~?!?". I guess at that age not everyone understands that while things in your life change and you grow as a person, just because you become 4-6 years older doesn't necessarily mean you no longer enjoy things from your childhood.
  24. wasn't very funny. Also you never stop talking in lady's cc, which annoys myself and several others so -10/10.
