Using a 3rd party client would be against the rules. I'm not sure what you mean by "the client". And no this is not against the rules because it can be done on mozzila, netscape, or IE, and those are all acceptable browsers for rs. by that i mean runescapes client like the worlds or where u log into.

arent we connecting to rs without using the client this way/ its against the rules, or am i wrong?
