  1. hey, deffinately needs a bank in most city center areas, also needs some anvils near a furncase in at least 1 city, and as for weapons: CLAWZ! (yes, i am aware i spelled that with a 'z', it catches your attention more!) Claws, 2 handed weapon, cant have shield, and as for a ore higer than mith, how about we go with... uh, can I get back to you on that? And how about for a sweet costume/armor and weapon, a black robes, black hood, and a 2 handed [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation] with red on the blade (mwuahahahaha! ) See you guys tomorrow.
  2. hmm, i like the going back up, but the dropping down when outside of combat is kinda dumb. People would care for that all that much...
  3. Sounds like a good format for a mini-game, but think of the work that would be involved into just maintaining the status of the kingdoms. Thats gonna require a LOT of time, programming, and space. I mean, consider this: A player logs on at midnight. Few people will be on, so there is an easier capture task. Rather, make this a mini-game between two sides (like in RuneScape between Saradomin and Zamorak) that players join to play. Rather than it be a large part of the structure of the game, it could be a side detail put in for fun and to have something to do other than skills and monster killing. Suggestion: Wild game animals: Deer Pheasent Rabbit (that level 500 one sounds tasty... ) Bear Uses for wild game drops: Venison: cooked and eaten Roasted Pheasent: cooked and eaten Rabbit Meat: tasty food Bear meat: cooked and eaten Deer hide: clothing?/armor Bear skin: rugs (crafting)/can be sold to fur traders Rabbit pelt: can be sold to traders Deer antlers: decoration for house, can be made into a weapon? Bones: can be made into bone arrows In addition to these uses, maybe it could be a bit of a mini-game where the players get a bow and arrows, then go and hunt a deer and return with antlers. Most antlers in the time-limit wins a special bow and arrow set. Just some ideas...
  4. uh, sure, but my idea would be an effect that can happen anywhere. But in that magical field then the chances would be higher of an effect on repeated spells is what I think you are saying... But its up to you. And besides, start small and get big, that's what I've been doing my whole life (lol). I say hold off on some of the bigger game elements that aren't vital to the game being released. Start us off with a few weapons, few types of armor, some spells, ect. and add skills and such as we go. That will make it easy on everyone. You wont have to program as much. I wont have to find as many things to model items off of. (I'm not complaining, I can handle it for now) The players can play sooner. Everybody wins!
  5. The one I used is the Medieval (Latinised) Futhark style/form. Here is the one you like though, just so you can have your say in this one. Maybe Gandalfmight will pick yours over mine. Yea, the pics could have been better, but that was actually me writing in the language. Not as easy as it seems to get everything just right on some... But here is an Elder Futhark alphabet with names, symbol, and letters.
  6. A helpful site with English to Rune translator and a second form of the Runic Alphabet. Also has loads of info on uses and some history of runes. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/vikings/runes.html This place however doesn't have a rune for the letter 'C', which can make it kinda useless in some ways. But still cool.
  7. Hmm, Xplod33, thats actually a great idea and I agree. In RuneScape I am a level 61 chef (not my combat, my cooking) and get annoyed with the fact that certain foods take longer to cook because you have to find a range to cook them on. And that bites when you are like in the middle of nowhere. The test didn't work on my mac. Maybe you could just send me a link to a screenshot of what it is. Unless there is a program I need to run it. If there is a special program it runs through, tell me and I will try to find a mac version. Also, I have taken it upon myself to learn runic (this should be fun! ) for the runic tablets and scrolls. I WILL know if you try to pull of a little joke by making the stuff swear at us using runic spelling. Lol, jk, but I am learning runic. This will be interesting if nothing else. Maybe I will post a runic alphabet up or something. The reason I brought up learning runic is because the "ammo" for the spells (I suggested the name "runic tablets") would maybe have the word written on it in runic. So for example, a fire rune in Mystic Legends would be the word "fire" written in runic on the tablet. They would be stackable and there would be multiple types. In addition, runic scrolls would be basically a condensed written spell, so they take the place of the runic tablets needed. So for example, I want to cast a basic earth magic spell. I could either have the necessary runic tablets, or the scroll for that spell. Now you may be thinking: "Why use the runic tablets which take up more space when I could just use a scroll that takes only one space?" Well, the scrolls would be hard to find/get, semi-rare, and might not be stackable. So, which would you rather have: 3 spaces of stacked runic tablets for a bunch of casts of the spell, or a full inventory of scrolls? However, if they are stackable, they would be a bit harder to obtain, especially the higher level spells. Not only would you need the scroll and your staff, you also would need the needed level to cast the spell. I also am suggesting a possible magic "backfire" random event type thing that occasionally your spell will backfire or have a different effect. For example, if you cast an offensive spell, there is a small chance that it will misfire and heal the target instead, or there is a chance that it might hit you or have some strange side-effect on you (you get a temporary protection from melee attacks or the spell destroys some runic tablets from your inventory) that could be as helpful as it could be destructive. However, with the increase in your skills of magic, the chances of your lower level spells mis-firing or backfiring decreases, or the chances of a negative outcome drop. There might still be a chance of a level 1 spell not casting at level 999 magic, but the chances of a bad effect are significantly lower. Uh, yea. EDIT: Sure everyone knows what a human looks like more than they know what a dragon looks like (I met one. He liked cheese...) but still, with the fact of the different types of dragons (serpent-like, winged, water dragons, komodoo...) there will probably be a bit more work in making them all I meant. Wait, Komodoo dragons aren't mythological... oh well, maybe they could just be a random monster Monster name: Komodoo Dragon Level: 52 Hp: 60 Examine: Hey, I thought dragons blew fire! Drops: lizard skin, bones LOL, jk!
  8. Instead of runes, lets call them "Runic Tablets" with the type in front of it, for example: Air Runic Tablet(s). Humans are hard? Well, I don't want to hear how bad a dragon might be... That's going to blow, huh? I mean, all the animation and different appearences. Hey, when can we expect some more screenshots?
  9. How about that Law staff I mentioned? Lol, maybe... Also, when I was talking about breeding, I meant that you can cook some animals. Alright, got to go for a bit, be back soon. I'll post some stuff when I get back. Bye.
  10. Back. I was out in my backyard playing a round of Airsoft with my little sister. I mainly hit her, but she got one laast shot out that nailed my exposed head. So much for looking down to see if I was out of ammo... Anyways, while playing I got an idea. In RuneScape there are some archery targets around Varrock's castle that you can't shoot at. Why not add some to practice on? Um, yea, time to check on stuff and get the pics up for you.
  11. Its not bad but it could be better, right now I have to eat and then I want to play some runescape, after that I'll post anything you can do to update your site, btw the backroundlooks good Sorry I can't help as much as birdboy but I know nothing about computer programming, only a bit ME? I barely know anything about programming, just some HTML stuff. Anyways, the sign probably would be good, but the reason I suggested the multiple portals is because let's say you are at your POH and you had come in through Varrock and you have to meet a friend or clan at Seers Village and you can't use the Camelot Teleport yet. Rather thaan having to head back to Varrock and walk, or telly to Falador and walk, you could just exit into the nearest spot, wheter it be Ardougne or actuallly Seers Village. Sure, people COULD take advantage of this, but what if you make it that you have to wait a minute before reusing? Like a teleport recovery time...
  12. This looks like a job for: my brain! LOL, but seriously, I have a possible solution for this. POHs would be in a seperate location that cannot be walked to. The only way to reach them is flying on a dragon or teleporting there. However, there wouldn't be a spell that the PLAYER casts, but rather in major cities there is a portal in/near a bank. By entering the portal, you will be warped to another portal inside the POH community. From there you walk to your house, or walk over to the POM section, depending on what you want to do. Once inside the community, you can access pretty much and POH you want, but unless it is yours, there are limited things you can do. Let me use an example. This example will use the RuneScape city Varrock, and my character, Birdboy60. Let's say I, Birdboy60, am near Varrock and decide to go check on my POH. So, I would walk to the bank in Varrock, go upstairs, and step into the portal. The I would be teleported into the POH community and would appear next to the Varrock portal. Then I can access almost any POH I please, as well as walk to the nearby POMs. Now, the concept of getting back can be accomplished in 3 ways, so for getting out you have more possiblities then getting in. You can either fly back out on your dragon, go through a portal, or use your magic skill and teleport away. The portals wouldn't drop you at a random city, but rather there would be multiple ones. The portals would all be in the center on the community and would be differently colored. Each would lead to a different city's portal (ie Varrock), and they would all be free. This makes accessing the POH and POM areas quick, easy, and doesn't take any runes to perform. Tell me what you think.
  13. Hmm, language select... interesting. However, that would take quite a bit of time, but to make it so the site could be seen in other languages wouldn't be that hard if you think about it.
  14. Hey, the forum basically is done for a while, here is a link: http://pub46.bravenet.com/forum/3919769407/ This will take you to the forum for the Mystic Legends. I made this, so feel free to comment on it here or on the actual forum. The forum is up and currently running. It is easy to use and for the "Account Username:" part I suggest just using your Tip.It account username. No password needed, nor do you need to sign up for anything. Plain and simple, yet effective. Be sure to read the posts, thanks.
  15. looks decent, glad to see that the code worked. (I edited the HTML so a dumb thing to make a free forum wouldn't show up) Um, ok, so its just a cookie on my comp that freaked me out. I had clicked on it and it showed the delete messages button and access to my account that I made that on. Phew, I got pretty scared, but when I switched to a different browser it was gone. Got scared over nothin. The site seems pretty good with its background and logo thingy, but the text... uh, needs work. Keep it up, I'll try to get more item photos.
  16. Hey, I will gladly make the first fansite! Lol, but seriously I will. I mean, if I am helping with so much as it is *cough*forum*cough*& items*cough*, then I basically could start now! Oh, and I will try to get some possible pics to model items off of. Now where did I place my camera... I can actually provide at least 3 different bird photos based off of my real pet birds. You can choose to make different styled birds with different examines, or just have one type. NOTE: They are parrots/cockatoos/mackaws.
  17. Sadly, it seems world of legends IS taken. As for my ideas for names, I currently are checking them all. EDIT: Well, this was an interesting find. The only things close to the names I suggested is some closed MUD game and some RPG forum. So, I guess my suggestions (which I just searched and hadn't searched before) are open for use. Cool.

  20. Fire, and Dragon? Isn't that kinda repeatitive? I mean, Dragons blow fire, so a "Fire Dragon" is redundant. Give it a sweet name, like: Elder Dragon or the Legendary Dragon, something that makes it sounds important/hard. Oh, and have it like, kinda surrounded by baby dragons like the KQ and her Kalphites.
  21. I can quit anytime I want to. The thing is though, I don't want to.
  22. Yea! That is so true man. You really don't need a top of the line machine. And if you have one, big deal, the graphics still are pretty bad. Besides, If they DID have a XBL version, imagine how much space it would take up! you would need a second X-Box just to hold the updates, plus you might have 2 CDs. Not to mention that on top on the subscription to RS and XBL, you also would have to BUY the game to be able to play even F2P. And wat about chat? Just use the microphone? Well, no thx. Movement could be kinda easier, just move the thumbstick and you move that way, so no more wierd walking routes (turn around 4 times before walking the right way), but still, this never would happen. Never. Just, no.
  23. This looks a lot like the RS style setup, just with wood instead of stone. Maybe you could use this setup with the texture I like? Or like I stated earlier, maybe have it customize-able so you can switch them? I know that would take a lot of space and membory and such, but would be better than looking at the same thing everyday. Once your game comes out I will personally tell my friends who play RS to check it out so you can get more people. The plant shield idea... interesting. However, I doubt he is going to use rune and such as weapon types. Also, the slayer requirement should be a defence requirement, or the plant shields can only be used on certain battlefields. Speaking of battlefields: >Nature Battlefields: Allow plant shields, plant attacks (ex: vines tangled around feet to stop movement), and earth magic bonuses >Water Battlefields: Allow naval combat, water magic bonuses, and fish attacks (ex: lionfish swarm), but slows movement 25% (can't run through water easily!) unless swimming which then ups the movement 15% >Pet Areneas: Battle your pets in three types of competitions: 1. Pet VS Pet (battle between two pets till the death or forfiet), 2. Kill Race (first pet to kill 'X' number of opponents wins), or 3. Pet CTF (2 teams in a pet based capture the flag match, 10 minute games), by winning a match you recieve one of these prizes: 1. Pet VS Pet rewards any stake placed by the players, 2. Kill Race rewards a trophy which can be shown off to others (more trophies, the better a breeder you are), 3. Pet CTF rewards Tokens which can be traded for items (see below). Trophies would be able to be placed in a Trophy Cabinet (made with Carpentry) that can hold 10 trophies. When a trophy cabinet has at least one trophy in it, you can chose "Check Trophy Cabinet" and it will show all the trophies in the cabinet. From there you can examine the trophy you chose by clicking on it and it will say: "____ Beat _____'s pet in a Kill Race" (the blacks are where the names would be), so that you can keep track of how many people you beat. Trophies would be non-tradeable, and cannot be withdrawn as notes. Pet CTF Tokens: This tokens would be rewarded to the winning team's players after a CTF match is concluded. The Tokens would be distributed as thus: 2 to winning team members, 1 to all players in the event of a tie, 0 to members of losing team. Tokens would be non-tradeable but can be redeemed for prizes such as: Pet treat: 1 token Box of pet treats (has 10 treats) 5 tokens Master Falconer's Glove: 25 tokens Gold lined saddle: 30 tokens Dragon Egg: 50 tokens Mystery egg: 40 tokens (hatches into a random creature or gives an item) Silver Leash: 35 Tokens Chew toy: 5 tokens ^^You can edit, add to, or remove from this list.^^ Also, the pet arenea would offer these services: Bank Spot (access bank to store prizes and to get stakes) Prize zone (redeem Tokens here!) Pet Food Store (buy and sell different types of pet food) Pet Store (buy and sell some bird eggs, minnows up to tuna, kittens, puppies, piglets, and ponies) Also expanding on the Breeding skill: How to get eggs: >Woodcutting will drop nests with eggs or items, or the occasional empty nest >Through purchasing eggs at a pet store >Through trades with players >From breeding (once you get two adult birds of the same type, you may get an egg randomly) How to get minnows: >Purchase at a pet store >Through trades with other players >While fishing you may catch a minnow of a random fish >From breeding (check ponds and tanks often to find any minnows that may have hatched) How to get puppies: >From pet store >Randomly a puppy may follow you home, at which point you have a new puppy >From breeding (occasionally your dogs may have puppies) How to get kittens: >From pet store >While woodcutting you may find a kitten in a tree, so don't cut that tree until you get the kitten out! >From breeding (occasionally your cats may have kittens) How to get ponies: >From pet store >From trades with players >From breeding (occasionally a horse may have a pony) How to get piglets: >From pet store >From player trades >From breeding How to get calves (baby cows): >From a quest? >From player trades >From breeding I'll finish this after I eat, and I will be adding some stuff to crafting!
  24. I kinda went over-board, but yet, you seem to like it. Excellent. When I get more ideas I shall po-WAIT! I have one! Multi-messaging! This is something I have wanted in RuneScape for a very long time. Under your friends list there would be 2 tabs, group and person lists. The person list would be like the one currently on RuneScape, listing everybody you add. However, the group tab would have a similar type of setup, just with groups (ex: your clan, resteruant staff, ect.) that you add. Once you add a group you can add people too it. Then, by clicking that group, it brings up the private message menu at the bottom saying: "Private Message To ________ Group:" And you type the message and it sends it to all online players under that group. Players could be in multiple groups, and could be removed from the group easily. By right-clicking on the Group name, it would bring up these options: "Message _______ Group" "Delete group" "Review group" "Cancel" The message ______ Group would send the multi-message described above. Delete group deletes that group, but any members of it are kept in the firendslist and any other groups they may be in. Review Group brings up a Menu/Window showing the entire group member list, and their statuses (offline, world___). From there you can message just the person you select, remove the selected person, or add a member to that group. Um, yea, I think that's it on that one... Wait, no, thats it. Well, goodnight, expect more tomorrow after I get some sleep. I will watch this thread, post my ideas, and eagerly await news on development.
  25. Hey, I'm back! BTW I would love to see any screenshots you get or a site where you could get info on it, even thought you dont have either. So anyways, back to my ideas: Through Crafting you could make fish tanks of different sizes which each size hold a different amount of fish. Goldfish bowl: up to 3 goldfish, or up to 3 small aquarium fish (this is the only type that can have goldfish in it) Small aquarium: up to 10 small aquarium fish, 5 medium aquarium fish, or 1 large aquarium fish Medium aquarium: 15 small aquarium fish, 10 medium aqaurium fish, 3 large aquarium fish Large aquarium: 20 small, 15 medium, 6 large Small Minnow Tank: 5 koi, sardine, or herring minnows, 2 trout, salmon, or pike minnows, 1 tuna minnow Large Minnow Tank: 10 koi, sardine, or herring minnows, 5 trout, salmon or pike minnows, 2 tuna minnows, 1 swordfish, small shark, or large shark minnow Lobster Tank: 10 lobsters (only tank that can hold lobsters) Lionfish tank: 2 lionfish Maybe the tanks could be tradeable? Also, Ponds: There would be multiple pond types: Fish Values: >Koi = 1 koi pond spot >Sardines = 1 pond spot >Herring = 1 pond spot >Trout = 2 pond spots >Salmon = 2 pond spots >Pike = 2 pond spots >Tuna = 3 pond spots >Swordfish = 4 pond spots >Small shark = 5 pond spots >Large Shark = 6 pond spots >Lionfish = 1 lionfish pond spot Koi pond: 10 koi (only pond that holds koi) Small fishing pond: 10 fish (combination of sardines and herring) Medium Fishing pond: 15 fish (combination of sardines, herring, trout, salmon, and pike) Large Fishing pond: 22 fish (combination of sardines, herring, trout, salmon, pike, tuna, swordfish, small sharks, and large sharks) Moat: 30 fish (combination of sardines, herring, trout, salmon, pike, tuna, swordfish, small sharks, and large sharks) Lionfish Pond: 2 lionfish Lionfish Moat: 4 lionfish Each pond and tank would require a higher crafting to make, and each would require maintianence frequently to keep the pond from breaking and killing the fish. Also, the fish would have to be fed often so they can grow and stay healthy. Ponds and moats would be only availble at houses, so they might as well wait. Lionfish would be used for making arrow posion, and maybe coud be used for a quest or somethin. Uh, yea, thats it. Let me know when you have screen shots, a beta version, or anything important availible because this is sounding like it will be a sweet game. Expect a Birdboy60 character to be made when you release it, because I definately will play.
