Which the vigilante then commits himself by unjustly taking a life. [/Quote] So only the police can handle justice?
  2. Giordano replied to das1330's topic in Off-Topic
The decision to do injustice. That's part of the gray area.

It ignores human dignity? The burgular ignored MY ans HIS human dignity when he decided to do the injustice. You take the same view as the court: more prilvige to the wrong-doer than the victim. The ORIGINAL victim. Well why not? Who deserves leniency? People who build schools and help the community? Justice isn't black and white and most espeically is not breucratic, aka every case is unique.
  4. At worst, people have done much worse. At best, you probably killed a bug before. Do it again.

Well you're lucky. You can't argue for my stance unless you felt injustice or at the very least UNDERSTAND your ability to change the world around you. All I want really is to change the courts than the cops. Murderer kills wife and husband kills murderer, the courts should realize the justice already given and give the husband a break in either a couple of months in therapy or something rather than 10 years in jail.
  6. This. That sucks that he left you, it makes me mad when guys are jerks and do that (it also makes me mad because girls fall over and over for these jerks when they could see me, but thats beside the point and completly irrevelent) What if the father didn't want the baby, and wanted an abortion? Its always seemed odd to me it's always the woman's decision but the man still has to go through with everything she wants. But in marriage they're both equal. If she can't help herself with an abortion why should he help her? Same stands the other way. If she wanted an abortion, there's nothing the father can do about it. As it's his child, he should live with whatever decision she makes, whether he likes it or not. If she wanted the abortion, the father should go find someone else who wants his baby...if its even important to him. So, no, its not the same. Its just ridicoulous that people hinge on to petty religious beliefs to screw their fincinal life for 10+ years. Not saying the OP should abort, if she wants to, go ahead, but she shouldn't complain about hard times when she could of easily avoided it but didn't because of outdated, irrational beliefs.

Its a gamble: kill this guys wife, he might kill you back. Steal from this shopkeep, he might pull a gun, try to run from a cop and he might shoot you. There has to be, of course, a sort of balance since some petty crimes shouldn't be a death sentence, but people seriously have to know their injustices have consequences. Let me ask you this: why do you trust the police over yourself?

As I said, you're too bigoted in your viewpoint to awknowledge the good parts of gun controling: saving a human life by deterrent. Its my last paragraph that you ignored to wirte your last paragraph. Again, its not the life that costs 100, its the decision to do injustice that cost them their life.

Is not their life that costs $100, it's the decision to do the injustice that costs them their lives. If you don't want to die, don't risk it trying to rob people. Why is it okay for these burglars to steal $100 bucks with no consequences whatsoever? The cops aren't going to search for a stolen $100. It's the decision to do injustice where justice is measured. Not physical loss. Stop being so bigoted in your position that you ignore the good parts of gun control you should be at least acknowledging. If the threat of a gun scares a burglar away, you should be damn happy that your precious life hasn't died.
  11. subtitle says "Cuba to eliminate state jobs." Maybe I need to add the word "again" to the title to make it absolutely clear to you that refuse to read the article posted in the OP? The title overpowers the subtitle. Thus the "sub" part of subtitle. Thank you very much.
  12. The title says Communism Fails, not Cuba Fails. Thank you very much.
  13. Vermont, Canada, same thing right? Lol, basically, but Vermont is actually a state in the US of A. It's in the northeast, on the border, so it's close. Edit: "Location: California" - Never mind. I thought you were some foreigner who actually didn't know the states. Oh okay I thought you were trying to be a smart ass.

With the way we're supporting our military, I'll bet the founding fathers would support more guns.
  18. I'm a conservative. I want limited federal government. I vote for the individual that most closely aligns with my views. If the government is limited, there's absolutely no way it can abuse its power. And you still have yet to show me how being a Christian means you need to support big government. Spare us the personal attacks and off-topic posts. Did you just ignore the rest of his post? Its funny how Americans don't like to admit their military is responsible for the cruel oppressive military regimes in Latin America and across the world. Conservative do want low taxes but some how think the military occipations and war against terrorism is free. Plus we love to say our military likes to help the peoples of the world yet the same folks who support the military don't support to help their fellow countryman. The conservatives/Republicans have the biggest and most contradictions I've ever seen since the 19th century. Another contradiction: most conservatives are Christians but they ignore "help thy neighbor", "turn the other cheek", and most especially "God loves everybody.

If that theory worked then anyone who ever played a shooting game or saw any violent t.v. show would be going out and causing a masacre. Apparently you're not a gamer. It's pretty much common knowledge among gamers that the media is always trying to blame something on video games. Like there was a kid who accidentally hung himself, they blamed it on his Nintendo WII. Kid shot himself in the head, they blamed it on Halo. The media blaming something isn't scientific or even philosophical fact. Keyword: Media.

EDIT. Whoops misread the previous two posts.
  23. Giordano replied to das1330's topic in Off-Topic
In my experience, that is exactly true.
  24. Hardly. You can never indulge on excess with it. The ability to choose any career you want is motivating for a short time until your personal greed outweighs your work ethic. Thus, fails to conduct an efficient government of this type in the real world. Thus not perfect.
  25. If it was that simple, no one would be having this discussion. That went over your head.
