These updates finally remove the last meaningful player-player interactions, so the game has effectively become a single-player game, with (highly restricted) chat. Everyone who says the changes don't affect them, or they'll wait and see, don't seem realise the significance of the changes which, though most aspects seem unchanged, have made the game fundamentally different. Single-player games are much less interesting, I can't imagine anyone playing one for even half a year let alone 4 or 5 years like many used to play runescape.

What the hell? You do a small but vital part of the work to make ~1Mgp, but you mustn't ask for any of it? You both work, but only one of you gets paid? You perform a useful service ON DEMAND for free? It seems to me, all this will do is to encourage lame begging type behaviours. Please stop this.

I'll probably regocnize it once it's answered but I can't think of what it means right now. --illegal third party client--, a 3rd party client that runs the Runescape window and also lets you switch worlds easier. It also gives you tools like calculators and stuff so you don't have to go on to tip.it. It has a chat system called IRC (internal runescape chat) where you can get a nickname and enter a chat channel. However, I would strongly suggest you don't use it. The warning is correct though, unless you are certain you have the official program - it will probably have a password-stealing trojan included. Someone losing their account is often due to watching videos, having their tip.it password stolen when the site was hacked etc. i.e. not their fault. Well ... your old rules were totally lame, I don't know which idiot started inventing pointless rules for the sake of it - for instance, I joined the channel once for some event, didnt check the tab for a few weeks and when I eventually did, I had been permanently banned for idling! The new rules are already looking to be the same ... Ask someone before msging them? The messages are supposed to be private, and not be announced in the channel - should we msg them to ask permission? If someone bugs you, you can put them on ignore, this is all that is needed. Same with colours, they can be turned off if someone is being annoying (which they can't really be without breaking one of the other rules anyway). Wtf is an "illegal script"? Finally, the whole point of an irc server, is to allow people to create channels to talk in - but you're still only "considering" this? Please stop making lame rules just for the sake of it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The irc server should not be hosted in the same place as the forums/website, if the forums/website are down people will go to the irc channel for information (not so useful if they are all down together).

Yes I have, and its easy, with either hand. The 3 ores can be dropped in less than 1 second. There is a slight delay between dropping an item, and its picture disappearing from your backpack, you can have dropped all 3 while they are still all showing in your inventory (not that this helps in any way). There is a similar delay with the picture of the rock changing - you can start to mine the next ore while the previous one is still showing (this does help slightly). It is easy to mine and drop with time to spare, it should take around 70 hours to get 85 mining.

No, you are wrong, 40k per hour would mean a 9.5 second respawn time for the ores. But on a full world, anyone can quickly see they respawn after around 7 seconds which gives more than 50k per hour. Who doesn't know what they're talking about?

This mass ban and their news item seem very lame for several reasons ... The News item claims "We can detect this type of cheating VERY easily" - if this was so then macroers would not exist (as they would all be instantly banned) - Why do they make this false claim? Also they should ban people continuously as they are detected - why do they wait and then ban 15000 at once. It is clearly impossible to properly consider the 15000 resulting ban appeals (which isn't exactly fair to anyone) Finally it did nothing to stop macroers - earlier today I saw 7 onscreen at the same time, (so there were probably more than 20 in total) in/outside essence bank, all L3, default figure, with names in sequence. And yet people go on about this as if it's a great thing?
