  1. You'll probably have to reformat considering Windows loads Specific harddrive drivers (To enable DMA, I guess) during the installation most likely. Just get a M$ disk somewhere..
  2. I don't know what your obsession with ATI is.. but Nvidia has always been good to me. Obligatory post, sorry.
  3. I just ordered an Orleans 3500+. I don't have a functional am2 yet but on Monday I'm getting my Case and PSU so I can finish it off.
  4. Necrophagist (Death Metal) Opeth (Progressive Death Metal) Benighted (Death Metal) Demilich (Melodic Death Metal) -> All of their music is free on their website. DragonForce (Power Metal) The Wizards (Power Metal) Iron Maiden (Heavy Power Metal) Gay For Johnny Depp (Gaycore) Carcass (GrindCore/Melodic Death Metal) John McLaughlin (Heavy Jazz?) Pat Metheny (Jazz) Death ('Clean' Death Metal) A few off the top of my head.
  5. This is probably because your default installation often includes Microsoft Java. A while a go Sun sued Microsoft for the rights to Java (Or w/e) and now Sun owns it. I think upgrading to the latest Sun Java will fix your problem. http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
  6. Operating system manufactorers wish. Processor support is built into the operating system. You can usually get drivers for the chipset, which updates most of the intigrated devices. For example, I have an NForce 570 motherboard. I go to nvidia.com and get NForce 570 drivers which give me drivers for my Ethernet, Audio, SATA Controller, among others.
  7. I think you should give C a go.. It wasn't too hard to learn. I love the implementation of inline assembly. It's a nice language, and from it it's much easier to learn. For beginners, you should probably take a read at this. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/C_Programming
  8. Oh man, RuneScape Classic was such a big point in my life. It was beneficial too. It really got me into computing, programming, etc. It was fun. I started in 2001 or 2002 Seemed like earlier but it probably wasn't.. My characters name was DBZ 123 (Dragonballz, hehe!) When I first learned how to smith bronze armor. Wow. When I first got black armor. Me and my friends, forgottenwarrior12 or something, kyle sherlock?, and some others thought we 'owned' the house in rimmington. One of us would kill the man upstairs and get money, one would sell the bronze scimitar to the genera l store, and one of the higher of us would smith steel b axes. He was insanely rich to me and he spread the joy until he quit Level 50 some I got members, I had full addy, rune med, a friend named bart45 helped me get it from lessers, and a rune long. Hehe.. I wish it was still going CHEERS!
  9. All of my friends but one or two left me for a game. World Of Warcraft. Anyways, my few friends left are my real friends I suppose. I always listen to good music. Try Dragonforce (High tempos, 'happy lyrics'), Pat Metheny Group (Lively Jazz Instrumentals) Otherwise I just get over it, I still talk to my WoW addicted friends. Somewhere sometime you're bound to seperate from your friends because of alternate interests and whatnot. Find some new ones. (With the exception of my grandma, her childhood friend lives with her -.-)
  10. I recommend updating the drivers for Video Cards/etc for better performance but 'PnP' devices like monitor's only use for drivers is usually extra configuration. I'd say it's pretty safe to do it.
  11. Uhh, since when do you have to be a gamer to get an AMD. Last time I checked AMD beat most Intels in everything but media encoding. Intel has 65nm processes on some of their newer processors but put into account their redundant socket, and AMD Socket AM2 Rev. coming out in November. Go with Socket AM2, IMO.
