I think I may have been washing dishes wrong. I usually scrub everything with a sponge of dishwash soap and then rinse it under the running water. However everyone here seems to just fill the sink with warm water and dishwash soap and give it a scrub then leave it to dry with the soap still on it. Their way sounds a lot quicker.

Right now I have a huge bottle of Bacardi that I don't know what to do with.

The technical strand of my course is such a bore. Understanding how computer systems work... One hour lectures where the lecturer speeds through complicated stuff. The lab is better, I can learn in that environment.

First lecture of the year, spelt bread as bred... This better not be a sign haha.

Went to a nightclub last night for the first time with the flatmates. Lost them the moment I stepped in but found my cousin and danced with his block for 4 hours. I would quite like clubbing if there wasn't so many taller people stepping into me.

Thankfully I have a single room with an ensuite. Just sharing the kitchen. 3 flatmates and 1 loud girl from the flat over were being loud at 4am and 7am which isn't nice. Earplugs are my next investment along with some pills for a headache.

I'm in my dorm. Finding it hard to get along with flatmates as I'm not a very outgoing person. I went out my comfort zone to speak to them but I'm struggling now.

Dang, I'll just get a next gen console. I will be behind the times if I get a 360 now though, and I secretly want to be up to date with consoles and have my own for once hehe. Instead of being the epitome of anti-cool, it makes you wise. Although I will maybe garner some hate from this but I say Windows 8 is not so bad. Of course I say this before installing any games or proper software.

Debating whether to get an Xbox 360 or Xbox One. I have kept myself away from Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Dead Space, Battlefield and many other series so that I could play them on my own system but the Xbox One won't be backwards compatible. It would be great if it becomes more compatible like the 360 did with the first Xbox... Or I could take my Gamecube to uni. That and there's a Dreamcast lying around. EDIT: Also dudes, my laptop has Windows 8. I am the epitome of cool.

Yeah I had a HP before this and it would heat like a hot iron but I'm short on money and the Dells at the place I'm getting it from are £100 more. Gotta get used to Windows 8 after using Vista for 5 years and 7 for a month.

I was going to take an ice sign (it was discarded on the side) but the light of day stopped me. Today I'm hunting for new laptops. It's probably going to be a HP again. Leaning towards the HP Envy m6-1310sa.

It was time for my two yearly trainer purchase. I went into footlocker and saw the most beautiful Adidas hi tops ever but when I tried it on there was a god damn heel in the shoe. I am mildly upset.

I did a stupid. I asked my sister if she wanted black or white socks. She wanted black and I thought I want black too. I then pick up two packs of white socks and buy them. Brain, why did you do that?

I mean, it doesn't exactly put bread on the table... Same ingredients, different method of baking, I'd say it would. My brother just started creating logos and stuff so he's not in a position to be demanding money. Though I heard he may have a job which pays lined up. ££££££££

Brother created a banner + logo for an up and coming cake company and got paid in cake. It's not money but it's the next best thing.

Helping my sister do maths for a job interview at Kumon. She's 17 and we have to start with adding single digits. I'm wondering how she passed maths with a C.

I've never seen a yard sale advertised here. I've been to car boot sales which is probably the English equivalent.

Went to Meadowhall in Sheffield today. It is damn huge and now my feet hurt. Didn't buy many things that I wanted 'cause I was with the mother and she doesn't like us buying rrp clothing/shoes.

I remember when my source of music came from holding down play + record on a cd/cassette player when a song I liked came on the radio.
