I have been going to a few social events but I just have trouble talking to people. I still try though even if I stutter but I think I give off an anti-social vibe or something because people don't approach me. I say to myself I'll stay calm and talk more but I end up forgetting and word-vomit instead. Got two events tomorrow so staying positive.

Yeah this is my first year. We're also in 6 per flat, with 6 flat per blocks. 2 people in our flats spend their time with other friends but everyone in my flat are close to those in the flat across and below so they've already decided to live together. The cool people who I wouldn't mind living with also already have a close group of mates. I'm just really worried about where I'll be living next year what with prices and all that, I really need to get a job for the extra security.

I'm super unhappy at uni, I like the freedom from my family but I also loved how comfortable I was back home and I don't feel even 30% comfortable at my flat. Gonna take a chance and go to a social event tomorrow even though the thought of it is doing weird things to my bowels. I really need to start making friends with people who I'd like to live with next year, everyone seems to have a group in mind already...

I participated in a night of debauchery with my blockmates which we aptly named the Alc-olympics. My challenge was downing four pints of Morrisons brand bitter quickly. I came 4th and only won regrets. On a funny note, we have a Lithuanian guy who moved in recently and he keeps telling us he was originally born in Lithuania before moving to England, that Lithuania is in Eastern-Europe, do you know where that is? Yeah they drink loads in Lithuania, the place he is from, Lithuanians know how to drink. Hmm.

Ugh that reminds me I have to get a costume. Copout is pulling together an army outfit (green trousers, white t-shirt, combat boots and face paint) but we've had army theme night outs for our uni 'army'.

Eek, first test of year tomorrow, a numeracy test. We had one earlier this year to sort of guess our level and I only got 30%, passing mark was 70%. While I would like 100%, I'm aiming for a solid 90%. Basic algebraic stuff... it's been 6 years since that stuff.

Getting pretty annoyed with programming in python, especially when you get an invalid syntax and cannot see why it is invalid. Might give up and ask here for help... I've been working on it for 4 hours already.

No, it is a halls of residence. I'm not going to find anyone wanting to stay here so yeah I'm screwed. Being 22 around a bunch of 18 years old is not for me, I feel like an old fogey!

A flatmate went to the admin to ask about moving out and heard that our flat has been complained about quite a lot. I can see why as some of my flatmates and the people from the flat across are absolutely animals when it comes to drinking. One of was an [wagon] and punched the firealarm at 11pm. And someone has tampered with the fire extinguisher and destroyed our broom so I'm going to have to pay 1/6th of that... It's hard to move flats too because you need someone to take up your room. If I got the location of my room in the building across this one I would have been in a nice quiet flat with international students with an awesome flat across if I want to go out.

We have double yellow lines on the side of the road here in England. I'm too sane to walk in the centre of a road.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all cater to each other? I was walking down to the gym along the road because 1. Cars are uncommon on that road and 2) Pavements are missing. But some douche in his crappy car slowed down and drove so close to me that I could touch his window. I don't know why he would be so annoyed that I'm on the road when I'm walking on the double yellow lines and talking up little space.
