Maybe it is my computer, but the VLC player is horrible! the videos stutter and the last 5 or so seconds are always completely cut off. Maybe I should reinstall it...

Doesn't it involve the codecs, too? I tried different files with different codecs, but the same extension...

What is it exactly that effects wether a video can be played at different speeds in Media Player? I have been messing around with a few video editors, and I noticed that some videos' play speeds cannot be changed. Is there a problem with my software, or is this a feature?

I can't put my computer in stand by for some reason. I used to always put it to sleep when I go to sleep. But for some reason, now, when I put it in stand-by, it wakes up on its own a few minutes later. This is really annoying and has forced me to use hibernation, which stops automatic scans... Does anyone know a way to stop this?

Nobody else has any suggestions? I am really mostly looking for an AVI editor, and I didn't want to convert.

i was asking because the SSC wasn't in Add or Remove programs. I found it, though. They hid an option for it in the uninstaller of the firewall.

Does anyone know how to uninstall the AOL Safety and Security Center? I don't want to just delete its folder, but I can't find an uninstaller...

Does anyone else here use the AOL SSC? I have had it for a while, and it suddenly started sending me an infinite stream of "Your Virus Protection software has been updated." They automatically disappear and are replaced by new ones every 45 seconds. It has an "Ok" button, but if I click it, the message disappears after 10 seconds, and a new one comes in 25 seconds. All of those times are exact; I've been testing it for about 10 minutes with a digital clock. Does anyone know about anything like this? EDIT: Also, the messages so conveiniently pop-up in front of everything else, that is, except for the task manager. The process is sadly just the Security Center one...

Can anyone reccomend a video editing program like VideoRedo that can edit AVI files? The price doesn't really matter, as long as it's at or under $50. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, to be honest I would have killed a few people, too. I wouldn't have gone on a "rampage" and killed a lot of people. So, I do think that he should be banned.

Does anyone know a way to force an executable which changes to full screen to start in windowed mode? I am trying to get something like the way The Sims 2 can b set.

This person is the only one who I have seen really think about this update. The only people who will really have a problem in the long run will be merchants. It's very sad to see such a good opportunity for free players, such as myself, to cooperate with paying players in a productive way. Or maybe I'm the only one who cares about things like that.

I am using the built-in one. I also noticed that after a pop-up is blocked, if I open a new window I will be able to click pop-ups for a while, but any popped-up windows won't be able yo pop-up others. Very strange...

Can anyone here think of a program which could replace the text in multiple files of different names with the text in one file that they would reccomend. Do I need commas in that? It looks like a run-on sentence.... Does anyone have any suggestions?

The problem is getting rid of the blocker I have now. Pop-ups really never annoyed me that much... Anyways, it also show the "pop-ups were not blocked" icon in the bottom tray when it blocks pop-ups.

I am using IE 6 and there is something wrong with my pop-up blocker. If I have it turned on, it blocks all pop-ups that I clicked on, no matter what setting I set it to. If I turn it off it does the same thing, but it just doesn't show the bar. It still plays the sound, though. Sometimes it doesn't show the bar even when I have the blocker turned on, and it just blocks the new window and plays the sound. I usually end up having to drag the link into the address bar, but this makes it so that I can only use one window.

Does all the bronze armor popping up have anything to do with the event? Or are noobs getting stupider?
