  1. !!!! Oh man, your comment just caused a major epiphany for me!! I'll stand around on f2p servers and buy stuff like natures, cosmics, ess, yews, etc and I'll get all annoyed trying to click on trade requests with the chat scrolling like it does in a busy bank. If I put public chat on hide, and do all of my "Buying this and that", I'll still see private messages and trade requests. Duh!! Wow, things are going to be so much nicer for me moving forward, I can't wait to try this. Thanks.. :)
  2. wel they are RANDOM!!! but!! there is one way I think helps a lot, take it from me ive had about 8 im getting annoyed with em now, nothing to spend the tokens on, but i high alch alot n always get them high alching fdrops i get from killing monsters on slayer assignments! have fun! I agree with this. Ever since I started making bows in large quantities and then high alching them, I've been flooded with random events. Waaaay more than ever before. 3 mimes, some old guys, the maze, some drunken dwarves, the sandwich lady, bob the cat, and the frog are all of the ones I can remember getting *this week*. Withdraw logs from bank, make long bows, deposit longbows (u), withdraw logs, make long bows, etc. Withdraw 14 unstrung bows, withdraw all strings (only room for 14, but quicker than typing in the number), drag upper left unstrung bow to lower right, click lower right bow, click string to it's left twice, click lower right bow twice, etc, until complete. Withdraw all unstrung bows, deposit strung bows, withdraw all strings, drag item to lower right, etc. (stringing sucks!) Withdraw all strung bows as notes, put them in the middlish of inventory. Withdraw appropriate number of natures, wield fire staff. Click high alch, click stack of notes, click high alch, etc. These are the exact actions I have been doing (except I left out the part about me high alching the air staff i had in my inventory by accident.. :D) If I were going to write an auto script, it would do stuff just like I do it. No suprise there except maybe the way I handle bow stringing so I only have to type a number when doing the very first withdraw.
  3. I've had 3 mime events this week. I got emotes in the first two and boots+shirt in the third. I was really suprised that I got two items for one event.
  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one.. I got it last night and wasn't able to get out in time, what a seriously annoying random event.
  5. I've read some posts saying that people have dropped stuff while at the bank or because they were disconnected, etc. How does this work? If I am standing somewhere with a bunch of stuff in my inventory and just close my windows (instead of officially logging out), I should still have all of my stuff, right? What I'm getting at is, how exactly do accidental drops occur (other than right clicking on an item and then clicking "drop")? Sorry if this is a newb question, but I'd just like to avoid dropping something valuable if I can prevent it. Oh yea, I recently dropped a spinach roll because they're worthless. I ate the next one I got, coughed it up, and then sold spinach roll © for 300k. :D
  6. I agree with that 100%. If the random events were more rare like say a mime random event, i wouldn't mind at all because not everyone would have that clothes. If you walk around varrock at any time about 80% of the people there in all lvl ranges have prince outfits on or frog heads. And to comment on the way to "get randoms more easily", there is no way to get them more thats why its called a Random event. There is nothing you can do except play normally. I disagree. I think we all agree that the purpose of the events is to prevent autoing. That said, I strongly believe that the likelyhood of getting a random increases depending on what you are doing. In the time I've played this game, I've done all sorts of things, but as soon as I started making bows in mass quantities and high alching, boom, I start getting randoms like never before. The "type" of event varies and when exactly it happens (on the 3rd bow or the 5000th bow) is unpredictable. These two factors account for the term "random" in "random event". Make no mistake though, the events occur when I am doing repetitive tasks that are popular among autoers. Just my personal observation, nobody knows for sure besides the people who code the game.
  7. In two or three months of play I've gotten: Freaky Forrester : 0 Drill Demon : 1 (was cooking in the chicken house east of Lumbridge - Got camo legs) Mime : 3 (I was in a bank and either stringing bows or high alching them - Got useless emotes two times, and then boots+shirt the third!) Frog : 1 (I was in a bank stringing bows)
