  1. No, see, even if he was the worst president ever we'd still be a stable country because of CHECKS AND BALANCES. Thank God for an inept Congress and a rigid Supreme Court (for the most part, although he's been manipulating both lately...) I understand that the media portrays Bush in a negative light all the time (although I don't recall them railing on Clinton every day, Monica scandal aside), but I have to ask what he's done that's positive in his presidency? You and bartoron have insisted that he's not that bad, but I have to ask, is he that good? No Child Left Behind Failed, PATRIOT Act nearly incited riots about our civil liberties, Abramoff pulled a fast one that has just recently been rectified (more Congress' issue I suppose), Bolton has raised cain at the UN, Social Security plan failed, guest worker plan died -- basically Bush has failed to bring about bipartisan legislation since the Iraq war. That's not the mark of a strong leader, or a good president. (Whatever, you've probably already picked a side) To bartoron: Yes, 9/11 was out of his control, but what about the loss in our hegemony? What about our trade relations (I'm referring to CAFTA here) that have brought doom and gloom to American farmers? You make an incredible number of incorrect assertions. I'm trying to stay friendly here, but I'm serious - check your facts, learn your history, and please, please read the news. For one, flights being used to crash into buildings in the US are not unprecedented at all. '79 American Airlines, '85 TWA, and most notably, '94 FedEx mail flight. And, across the rest of the world there have been dozens of 9/11-like attacks in the last thirty years. You, like the Administration, consistently refer back to 9/11 as the causality of our recent economic troubles. It's been six years. Mutual funds and hedge funds are growing at an unprecedented rate, and have been since '04. Even if you don't pay a lot of attention to the news, you may have heard that the Dow reached an all-time high earlier this month. Investor confidence is back, businesses are rolling again, but.... WE KEEP RUNNING A LARGER AND LARGER DEFICIT . Explain that to me, and I'll concede. I try my hardest not to be like other Bush-bashers -- I read the news carefully, I've followed a lot of his policies (as I hope this post shows), I've evaluated them and their success, and there's not much to be found (which is why I take the position I do; against him), and I'm a little angry that you can lambaste everyone who criticizes Bush without even thinking about half of these things. But most of all, as Bush's second term comes to a close, I struggle to find his place in history. If asked the question, "What was the greatest contribution/legacy of George W. Bush?", I will not be able to answer. Maybe it's too early to tell. Or not. How about freeing an entire nation from a dictatorship, and clearing the path to be paved for future leaders to join in against the war on terrorism?
  2. me, being as artistically challenged as I am, I think this is a great work of art :)
  3. New show put out by FOX, it has a saturday-night-live feel to it, only it's a political show. Probably none of you have heard of it, as the show is pro-replublican. It bugs me to think how many people will see "pro-republican" and instantly flame it :\
  4. /\ Come back to Classic then :)
  5. There are so many flaws in what you stated, that I threw up in my mouth a little bit. You presented no facts at all, much like the news shows you probably got this information from.
  6. I started sometime in February of 2001. I was in the 7th grade :) Now, I'm about to enter my sophomore year at Big Bend CC in Moses Lake, Washington, where I am a pitcher for the college baseball team :) I still play Rsc quite often
  7. I've heard I can get up to 80k xp training per hour... still tho 20k per hour = 1955 hours 30k per hour = 1303 hours 40k per hour = 977 hours 50k per hour = 782 hours 60k per hour = 651 hours 70k per hour = 558 hours 80k per hour = 488 hours. It shouldn't take any more than 3 months to accomplish :\
  8. I'm currently on my summer vacation from college. I work 40 hours a week and still manage to play in a summer baseball/basketball league, so my time is short. However, once I go back to college, I will have a lot more spare time on my hands, and plan on setting a goal for myself. I've never really liked Rs2, I think it's to easy. I've been a die-hard Rsc fan since February of 2001 now, and I've tried to argue in the past that Rs2 training is ridiculously easier and faster than rsc training. My siggy should tell you that I have a pretty good idea how long it takes to get levels in Rsc, but since I've never really played rs2 that much, I can't legitametly give an argument that Rs2 training is easier. I came up with a solution. I will get 99 Attack, Defense, Strength, and Hits. I'm currently very weak in rs2, with stats that wouldn't make your topscores My stats currently are 30 20 42. I'm dead broke on Rs2 (I have 400k cash), so I plan on buying the essentials needed for training, ie weapons and armor, and just train train train until I've reached my goal :) In 2 months time you will hear much more about this. I'm sure a few of you have reached 99 99 99 99 on Rs2, how long did it take you?

And here I was thinking that you Wendy's employees were just mentally handicapped for taking so long to make it :P I ordered 3 of them the other day, had to wait about 30 mins for it to be done :\ My frosty had already melted in that time :(
  10. Ok, fine. Lets not have any organized plan on when to leave Iraq. Lets just stay there forever. Lets just keep pouring billions of dollars trying to babysit the country. Because if we ever make a plan to leave, the evil terrorists will take over! Do you honestly think you know everything about it that the government does? Of course they have a plan
  11. Wow.. dynamite input. Thank you for changing everybodys beliefs with this amazing factual piece of brilliance..
  12. You can't even compare George W. Bush to Hitler. The president is not a dictator contrary to what you may think. Mr. Bush didn't even start this war by himself. Sure you can, and sure he is. George Bush has, thus far, listened and cooperated with absolutely NO ONE else in the government. Congress brings him a bill he doesn't like for some reason? Insta-Veto. He doesn't even read them, he just knows what they're generally about (pulling out of the war, stem cell research, etc) and just flat-out Veto's them, essentially ruining any progress the Congress may have actually made for once in their lives. I ask you - What is more important? What 400 some people conclude is the "right way" to go, or what one man thinks is the right way to go? I do believe it's "Majority rules" not "Authority rules". Bush (and every President from here on out) shouldn't have instant-veto power like they do now, because they can set their idealogies into laws by essentially snapping their fingers. Banning gay marriage is absolutely unconstitutional (people are being denied their freedoms and benefits when they've committed no crimes), but...Since George Bush doesn't like it, it can't happen. He won't allow it. Would current Congress allow it? Probably, since it's a Democratic majority, and they, while morons just like Republicans, are slightly LESS moronic because they don't have the blinding veil of "Christian law" over their eyes when deciding whats best for the countries people as a whole. Anyways, back to Bush. You can compare him to Hitler, except one thing...Hitler was an excellent public speaker, George Bush is a talking chimp, essentially. Wow.. You need to learn how the American Legal system works.... You are wrong on sooooo many accounts. Edit: Astralinre, good work and research :) *post above me*
  13. First off.. you say only a few hundred lives have been lost... What about all the Iraqi's who've died, BECAUSE WE WEN'T IN. Second, if we pulled out, where's the proof that terrorism would be horrible? And last, terrorism is made into such a huge deal, but you are something like 100 times more likely to die in a car accident than in a terrorist attack. Now it might be 80times or something... Not a huge increase. First off - Sadam would have killed his own people anyways, as it has been prooven that he's done in the past Second, is that a serious [bleep] statement? Do you need proof that terrorism is horrible?? 3 numbers pal... 9/11 And last, that is the stupidest comparison about anything I've ever read in all 19 years of my life. Don't worry Knight its just another 7 year old whose come down from the General Boards. We need to learn to ignore stupidity. Edit: I thought you were calling me a 7 year old... the word "Its" I read as "is"

  17. Why can't you listen to music like that on your computer? Great pianists... I'd listen to Art Tatum, try and pickup any of his albums... the 'Pablo Series' is a huge collection, but expensive :S Oscar Peterson was also an amazing pianist, same with Johnny Costa (the pianist for Mr Rogers Neighborhood)
  18. The greatest sax player of all time was obviously Charlie Parker.... He is considered the 2nd greatest improvisor of all time, next to art tatum
  19. Anybody else a fan of this amazing pianist? Tatum, unfortunately is not as well known as he should be... He was without question, the greatest musician genious to walk this planet. His lighting quick dexterity was only overmatched by his musical mind. He did things that nobody has been able to replicate. Now.. I'm well aware that Tip It boards are dominated by rock fans, and i'm sure a few of you are going to read "the greatest musician to walk this planet" and go "Nuh-uh!!" Spare me.. spare everybody. :boohoo: Not to take anything away from rock, I like the genre, and many guitar guru's have risen to fame. Nobody compares to Tatum, however. He was born blind in Toledo, Ohio in 1908. At the age of four, he started attending a school for blind children, where he quickly learned to become a pianist. By the age of 15, he had already become one of the greatest pianists of the world. He died at to soon of an early age in 1956 after suffering from heart problems, caused by a lifelong drinking problem. Below i've added some music of his. Unless you are a musician yourself, it's almost hard to comprehend his godly ability. 20. It's only pre-marital sex if you get married :o Honestly, do what you'd like. Sex is a physical action. It's only as emotional as you make it
  21. This is so old, and it's been so long since I've read it... that it was almost like reading something new... because I forgot it :o
