  1. No need to look it up, just click my sig. I'm split between Pastafarian and Athiest.
  2. I wonder what you'd come up with for me. =D
  3. Talk with a trustworthy freind. Today I was unbelievably depressed/stressed/angered. Luckily when I got home no one was home yet, I was listening to deafening music while I was on the bus. At home I do things that need concentration to do, like basketball or billiards. Then if that fails, I take a book out of my closett and pound it until I hurt, or the book dies. Right now I have 2 horribly bent hard cover books and a disfigured middle knuckle, but it helped me calm down.
  4. Well, of course there are some, but they aren't affecting much of the community (aside from basically setting up the government :x ) I pretty much expected all the kids to act the way they did, I didn't see anything that was forced to much, I just wish a smart 15year old would reorganize everything and shove it in the producer's face. (Greg isn't going to do that in my opinion)

This new reality show just aired today, 18 minutes ago. My So. honors English teacher reccomended it to us and I remembered it because an ad came up for it on tip.it  If you didn't see it: 40 kids, ages 8-15, no adults, 40 days. In my opinion, the show organizers set it up horribly by pretty much forcing the kids into a Society class-orientated capitalism. A type of communism would be alot better, eliminate the council group, have the counsel decide everyone's jobs, and split all the money equally. This way kids would still be able to give each other money (such as dancing Sophia today) and still have some competition(for the gold star).
  6. Yes. If I was hearing about it or if the doctor was pronouncing them dead, I'd say "No really  , what happened?"

10 more bucks says that we all want that, but it's not going to happen. Reb wins. =)

This is what I think as well now. Also, I have a hard time with this but is this the same person as Em met on the mountain? :-s Mountain girl had blonde hair and a tattoo on her left arm  I also think it's a female racer.
  10. 2 days ago. 3 words: Intense staring contest.
  11. 5.3GPA? Where i live there's both I.B. and A.P., but it's only weighted .5, not 1.3. :-s In my highschool the GPA scale goes like this Acedemic A+ 4.3 A 4.0 A- 3.7 and so on.. Honors/AP A+ 5.3 A 5.0 A- 4.7 and so on... One of my freinds goes to a chicago public highschool and she can get a 6.3 for an A+ in an AP class   stan18 Last year, someone from my highschool went to college with 64 college credits from AP classes. =P~ And also, I don't have any location preference at all, and I'd be glad if you could show me what list I would get.
  12. Is electronic engineering for the human body what it sounds like? :uhh: In America, atleast in my school, the difficulty of classes are rated like this: Basic < Acedemic < Honors < AP (Advanced Placement) Basic is for people that are a bit slow, and acedemic is the regular class. Also at the end of the year there are AP tests that can count as college credit if you do well in some colleges.
  13. I would see the Dragon Defender as being untradable, hard to obtain, and disapearing automatically when you die. Imagine this: A quest requiring Legend's, RFD, and all of the Fremnik area quests, unlocking a new minigame in which you have to pay with a rune defender to get in and hopefully get a dragon one as loot or as a reward. =P~
  14. Put one of those things around the bowl that they use to stop dogs from scratching themselves, so your fish just slide back. :D Maybe take a short glass/ceramics class somewhere and make a glass/ceramic dish (with a hole for your plant to stick out) to put over it?
  15. I definately could, but I Like highschool socially and I want to get everything that I can out of it educationally, chances are if I don't learn about Physics, chemistry, enviromental science, or anatomy,in highschool, I probably never will.
  16. Thanks that should help alot, about funds though, I will try to save as much as I can with scholarships and such, but just in case my mom has already planned to have money for my college, and I shouldn't have to much of a problem financially.
  17. Ha, maybe I should stand outside some office building and follow the president out everyday in a taxi until he goes to a bar? Then again, that's probably a stupid idea. I assume you mean getting into colleges, as I am as social as I am surprisingly smart. Not everyone has trouble getting accepted into a college they like, people who start calling and looking around earlier and decide their paths are most likely going to have higher chances of getting in.
  18. Ooo, Cornell looks like it offers alot to. http://www.mbg.cornell.edu/cals/mbg/abo ... /index.cfm (I'm mainly posting links so I can go back and find them later =p ) and @ Reb, I'm not sure about our AP test results for science classes, but I'm pretty sure that our AP Physics/biology/chemistry teaches alot more than yours then, because our honors classes cover ALOT of material, then again, I could be wrong. EDIT for Sniperas: Sorry, I just saw your post after I made this one, thanks alot, I was actually just searching for that, my mom was talking about it. (Chicago #9 and Cornell #12)
  19. Geez, your school must be pretty lax when it comes to letting kids pick their schedules. It's not even physically possible for us to do that, and we don't get AP Anatomy (just basic Anatomy class) or AP Environmental Science as options. Lucky >_>. Also, just wondering, but why would you take Honors Biology and then AP Bio? And from that list, how are you going to take 5-7 AP Science classes? Did you just mean AP classes in general? When I wrote advanced there I didn't mean AP, I just meant more difficult classes (and classes that offer 5.3GPA for an A+). The reason why I'm taking these classes: Honors Biology and AP Honors Chemistry and AP Honors Physics and AP Is because the AP class requires that you took the Honors class, and requires that you know everything from the other one. No matter what I'm going to fight with my deans and counselrs to allow me to take all of these, from what I see I should be able to get my graduation requirements and all those classes by the end of senior year. (I also have the support of my Honors Biology teacher from last year, who I'm sure will help me through) EDIT: I found the list of courses that University of Chicago has to offer for genetics, and I'm liking it =P~ http://mgcb.bsd.uchicago.edu/courses/
  20. By "advanced" I meant "higher level classes", and I don't really care if they'll give me college credits or not, AP classes aren't necesarily to earn credits, as the abreviation means "Advanced Placement". I'm going to take 2-3 AP science classes junior year and 3-4 senior year, so I can get everything my school offers for science. I've been considering going to University of Chicago*, it seems like they can provide me with what I'd want but I'd rather go to a university that more or less specializes and is known for genetics. * Here's Chicago's page on it's Department of Human Genetics http://www.genes.uchicago.edu/education.html
  21. My school is atleast the 2nd largest in my state, and by years I meant by how many credits in science I can get. after I'm done with highschool I should have taken all these classes: Honors Biology Honors Chemistry Honors Physics AP Biology AP Chemistry AP Physics* AP Anatomy AP Enviromental Science and in math: Honors Algebra Honors Geometry Precalculus BC** Calculus BC** and maybe AP Triganometry (I'd have to go to the closest community class after school and take it there) So yea, I go to a good suburban public highschool. *AP Physics has the highest of all requirements in my school, and it is the most rigorous course that it offers. ** Any calculus class at my school constitutes as an honors class, and the BC classes go faster and is more advanced than the other, AB. (It's required to take for AP physics) EDIT for RayOxide: Harvard is well-known for being a great law school, and if you are the perfect student though without athletic backround, you only stand a 7% chance of approval if your family doesn't regulary give donations to the school, plus from their website it doesn't seem like their medical school has any courses on genetics.
  22. I'm a sophmore now in highschool and I'd like to figure out what colleges are good for my wants and needs, for various reasons and that if I get a college to tell me I need to take as many science classes as I can I could be excused from taking gym junior and senior year. So far I haven't found any good colleges that are extremely well known for what I want. I want to find a college that has advanced genetic courses, whether it be medical genetics, genetic counseling, or gene therapy. I'm an honors student with a great GPA, by the end of my highschool career I will have taken about 8 years worth of advanced science classes (all which my school offers) Any help? (Also, if you want help for finding a college you can post to)
  23. I'm highly sure you can't get a job for the FBI or CIA if you have a tattoo, or any other high secrety gov't job. For business-office jobs you'll have to conceal the tattoos to remain business-like. Luckily I'm going into genetics or anouther advancing feild of science where labcoats always conceal and no one really cares how you look as long as you're smart enough to do the job.
  24. Skinny, because I am now. Though I don't know if my skinny constitutes as your "skinny". I'm 5"5'-6' and 120lbs, My ribs stick out a bit but otherwise i'm all muscle but not crazy muscular. I am surprisingly extremely fit, as seen from school fitness testing*. (IMO a result of 9 month vegetarianism) I would rather be skinny than fat because when you're really skinny you can still be fit, but not if you're fat. [hide=*My Sophmore fitness test results] 6:24 Mile, 4th in my class, improvement of 4 seconds from last year. 32 "paced" push-ups (1 secound upright, 2 secounds at <90 degrees), 7 improvement 83 Pacer score, (Running endurance test for those unfamiliar), 8 improvement 78 Full sit ups in 2 minutes, improvement of 3 Haven't done flexibilty testing yet.[/hide]
  25. I have all the first generation pokemon cards, alot of them 1st edition. I'm pretty much the only one who lived nearby who knew how to play the game, rather than just collect them. I've always wanted to learn to play Magic, I saw some people playing it once and it looked interesting.
