New Pc (Mobo/Case/CPUI)
Thanks, the ram working at 1600mhz, the 5770 is on newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-447-_-Product. Do you plan to overclock at all? It'd be interesting to see how far you can get it on air. Oh yeah, and I meant how does the 5770 preform for you? I've heard it's a great preforming card for the price. I believe the auto-tuner on the mobo got it to around 1800mhz but my system was acting a bit funny, I dont keep my ram overclocked unless i need it, the board automatically sets my cpu speed going from as low as 1.6mhz up to 4.8. The graphics card works great, its one of the top bang for buck cards in the "not too enthusiast" price ranges. Gets a 7.4 score on windows index. Recommended.

^This, if you're going with sandy bridge (i7 2xxx). It's definitely worth the wait. A slightly overclocked 2600k (It's incredibly easy to OC it) destroys a 980x. Thanks for all the replys guys, I already built this system a few weeks ago. Works brilliantly, will post specs of my current rig on first post. I know about the malfunction, I already have a wait for a new board. Cheers.

Problem with Rscache
Yeah I was even trying to move my Java temp cache to another drive to see if it would stick. Not having any promising solutions yet. If anyone can shed some light on how please share.

Problem with Rscache
Currently on Windows XP Media Center SP3. Im actually in the process of looking for my installation CDS to do a reinstall (haven't done this in a while). Would be nice to know why this is occuring though. P.S i've played RS on this machine before with no problem but after coming from my break from this game I've just been getting this trouble.

Problem with Rscache
I saw that a long while ago, deleted that folder weeks ago. Any other ideas? Im mostly concerned about the runescape client seeing as it says "error saving file", doesnt work when on administrator account and running the client either.

Problem with Rscache
I've done both multiple times over, just not working.

Problem with Rscache
Getting the error on web browsers (on firefox, chrome, and IE) You are seeing this page because we could not load RuneScape on your computer. There are a couple of easy steps you can take to try and immediately resolve this: * Create a new directory called c:\rscache or /rscache. If possible, set that directory to have full read and write permissions, so that all users can write to it. RuneScape should then detect that directory and use it for its files. * Login to your computer as an 'administrator' user and then try loading RuneScape again. This should give RuneScape sufficient access to update itself. * Upgrade to a newer version of Java by going to www.java.com and downloading and installing the latest version. Also downloading the runescape client gives me the "error saving file" box. I've done all the following more than once, anyone offer some input on a different method. Thanks

New Pc (Mobo/Case/CPUI)
ASUS is a very strong name in motherboards, along with an extra year long warrenty over ASrock. I'd rather pick a company im comfortable with instead of taking a risk. No idea why I picked a mid-tower at first, barely had enough room in my current case. Picking a full tower Which one? im more partial to the cooler master one (don't let a few blue LEDs fool you) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007583%20600006304&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=7|11-129-043^11-129-043-TS%2C11-119-160^11-119-160-TS

New Pc (Mobo/Case/CPUI)
So far my choices for my setup, anyone is free to offer alternatives or give advice. Please remmeber im going for the *most bang for your buck* build, not going for maxed out everything just a good 4-6 year quality rig. Case : Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop OS: Win 7 pro/Ultimate (already have it) Questions: -Will the stock heatsink that comes with processor be of high quality? (im not overclocking much, only if i need the extra speed), recommendations on suitable (budget) products. -Does keeping OS boot on a seperate HDD affect overall performance, or only on and off speeds? Like buying another 7200 rpm drive and keeping my files and OS seperate, would a partition give me the same results? -How much memory is appropriate for this system, 4? 6? (props for finding good deals)

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
Really im looking at the facts from other people's situation on upgrading their xps. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/175571-28-dell-what-power-supply-wattage-system is the first option that came as results and many people have posted on their systems. About halfway down it has a picture of the same model as my case and mobo with a crosair modular 620 watt psu (there is space though from the gap in the back of case). So im still skeptical about these working or not based on the information i seen. Edit: Both PSU and video card worked and fit perfectly. Now im just debating to go for an entirely new pc setup, look forward to a new thread for a new build. Thank you to everyone who posted, even if some advice was misleading I learned a few things

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
I had read that someone was saying it was an ATX board on the Dell forums, also heard Btx from another google result. Now would the cables even fit on this board or should I just not try to attempt regardless of it fitting. I was considering going for the whole new case and mobo decision, the only thing is im off to college in a few months. Im really in a debate whether my money should go into a new laptop or getting a nice rig for my desktop. Ill know in a day which route ill take. Thanks for all the reply's so far, greatly appreciated.

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
Xps 400, I had read that this model along with others do not use a Dell proprietary power supply. This PC is from 2006, so Dell has a bit more upgradeability in these models. I do admit that a chance of frying my motherboard isnt good to hear. Im sorry but when I look at this from a spacial and logical viewpoint it matches up perfectly regardless of mobo placement, unless im just being delusional because I want the upgrade so badly.

PIcture of my mobo video card slots, please excuse the excessive size. Correct me if im wrong but it look like they will fit (unless im looking at this entirely wrong).

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
I really didn't go for the highest level cards, I just compared prices to benchmarks to give me a sense of whats a good deal. Im not looking to play Crysis on max settings at a high fps, just casual gaming along with video/photo edditing. Seems like the card better suited for my tastes along with a good price. Also i've been seeing more affordable prices for ATI compared to Nividia because in my experience they are of equal level, just depends on preference. Thanks, and replys are always appreciated  Its a standard Dell 375 Watt PSU. Im looking for a higher wattage (500-600) for future upgrades. I was considering one of those but I thought i'd spend the extra and get one to last my needs. Also trying to find one that has molex pins so I wont have to worry about HDD converters. Edit: Going for the Radeon HD 5770 its more expensive but its much better.

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
Knew I forgot something about my HDDs and their connectors. Also to be sure, these converters wont have any effect on my read/write speeds on the drives correct? Im on a budget so a psu in the $50-$80 price range is what im after. Thanks for the feedback.

PC Computer Graphics Card/PSU Upgrade
Edit: The upgrades worked perfectly, everything fit perfectly (although a bit cluttered). Very happy with the performance. Been a while since I've been on this forum  , after a lot of research I found reasonable purchases, but I thought why not get the old tip.it forums audience advice. --Planning to buy the following upgrades Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W ATX12V v2.01 Power Supply Radeon HD 5670 Edit- CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB Current Setup Operating System -MS Windows XP Media Center Edition Professional 32-bit SP3 PSU -375 Watt Power Supply Processor -Intel Pentium D 820 Memory -4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 332MHz (5-5-5-14) Mobo -Dell Inc. 0YC523 (Microprocessor) Video Card -256MB RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory (ATI) Hard Drives -156GB SAMSUNG SAMSUNG (IDE) -625GB Western Digital WDC (IDE) Optical Drives -SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615 -PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8701 -HSRCB PM70DQZW SCSI CdRom Device Sound Card -SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC --recommended PSU Wattage: 366 W Questions: Will both purchases be fully compatible with my system? Are there any products that would be a better alternative? Would using a VGA to DVI converter from monitor to Pc port slow down my performance?

Kalphite entrance
Whenever you go on a Kq trip you should always have 2 ropes on you when you leave to be able to get down, instead of relying on previous people roping.

Barrows.. no luck or doing something wrong?
People have gone 200+ trip with nothing, really after doing only 20 runs you shouldn't think something wrong. After getting 6 kc from the brothers the only only thing that changes is how many runes/coins/racks you get. I would replace the wealth ring with something that gives a boost (wealth does not help here), and your unholy book for a defense based shield, or even a defender.

AZ / Str train Question
With an enhanced Excalibur along with an overhead prayer (melee) you should be able to last your whole trip without needing food. Not entirely sure if using the melee prayer would negate the prayer bonus from prossy, in which case you can just use rune/dragon and take less damage. It would be a good idea to take up slaying, for the charms and experience. Its really the best way to go. Or just waterfiend for 68 summoning, the bunyip is one of the most useful familiars and can be used anywhere.

law runes
Sell them, suck up your loss (its happens a lot). With the money in laws you can use that to merch more and therefore make more money sooner, also.
