He's still missing his nose. Either that or the shading around there is too subtle, sharpen it up a bit.

I say: Shorten his torso a bit (his legs are to small, if you just move the belt up, it should help) and cut a few pixels off the armrobes. Also, no-ones sixpack shows underneath robes, take it out. Instead, try and draw folds. :wink:

Well, the empty sky can be partialy solved by a dithered-gradient Differant dithering patterns, of even two colors, can make alot of differance. Subtle, yet effective. I'd say ditch the black outlines, and make the color outlines just darker shades. Your still not using antialaising, its a simple (midly) step that can help smooth out 'jaggies' or places where the pixels show the true blockyness of their nature. Some stlyistic pieces can make use of this blockyness, but your shading betrays your desires for smoothness. So, I'll assume you have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, to start, AA stands for 'anti-alaising'. What means this? Basicaly, AA is creating a one or two pixel gradient to blend things into eachother, therefore creating the illusion of curves. And example. Mr smilie, some dude I just made. (Pm me if you want this as a free avatar-anyone) He's heavily antialiased. He looks rather smooth (perhaps sauve, in his more serious moments?) But wait? How do the pixels become smooth? Boom! A two color gradient helps destroy some jaggies. This guy is still alittle jaggy, but thats because alot of the lines werent drawn well. :oops: I have more to say, but unfortuanatly, I have this horrible habit- sleep. Gotta quit that some day... Be ready for critique- the SEQUAL! on the 'morrow.

You should design album covers and stuff. :shock:

I like to soak up all the latest pixelart info I can get my hands on before I do a piece, thats usualy why my styles differ from pieces. Plus, doing the same thing all the time gets boring. 8)

First one started out as a dream I suppose... I was on a field trip with my class, driving on our bus, through the wilderness to the space station. On our way there, the bus driver suddenly went suicicdal, and slammed his head into the steering wheel. The bus crashed, and no one but the bus driver was hurt. We kept going on our way to the space station, whilst picking up all the trash beside the road on our way. After a while of trash picking, we saw some smoke, and went to investigate. There was a space shuttle there, apparently crash landed. As we went to investigate, I slipped inside the ship. When I cam out again, I appeared to be in a medieval castle's court. Of course, I was like 'what the hell...?" Apparently, I was well known as a warrior in this particular castle, and all of a sudden, we where under attack by a bunch of orcs. I kicked some orc tushie, and all was good. I began to eat some grapes fed to me by the local princess. The life and all. Then, one day, we where seiged again, and I got really confuzed for like 30 minutes, in the swirl of activity. When I finaly got my senses, I ran to the armoury, come to find that the only weapon left was a wooden pole. I went out to do battle, when our walls succumbed to a bunch of orcs, and they ran towards me and my commrades. Behind the orcs were spellcasters who threw waves of water at us. After some intensly terrifying combat situations, the mages all got together an formed a tsunami. I felt myself get blown away by it, and I felt myself rising on the crest of the wave, back onto the castles numerous towers, hundreds of feet in the air. You know that feeling you get when your in the car or on a amusement park ride, and you go up quickly, then as quickly fall back down? I woke up with that exact same feeling. I have more, and I'll share when I have more time to wright. :shock:

Its not the armour thats blocky, its the GAME thats blocky. Try to draw it as if it where really smithed by someone. Draw it in a way that it looks feasable to put on. :wink:

Too much can be solved by evening it out methinks, thanks. Tommorow I'll thicken the border to make it look more in place with the character-popping-mechanism-border-thing-hi-and-stuff. Yes. :wink:

I think my dithering techniques are a bit underdeveloped, I'll be getting some help soon, and hopefully my next piece wont have this problem. Thanks for your imput!
