True, but a new EXPENSIVE ranger armour with NEGATIVE MELEE ATTACK, and good magic defense (to make sure rangers do own mages, since it can be really really hard, and shouldntr be like that) wouldnt hurt. This way, the loot from killing a ranger would be good, and rangers would at least have a good advantage over mages, like it should. Thing is most wouldn't use it, and just continue pking in hides. :(

They have the same value in-game wise, but the weapon spot is 'scanned' before the gloves spot, so the whip is always protected above the gloves, unless you are wielding the whip, and have gloves in your inventory; as the inventory is always scanned before your wielded items.
