Pardon me for bumping this topic... What's the difference between purchasing a computer from Dell/HP and one from a site where you can customize your own computer and such (http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ or http://www.ibuypower.com/ibppages/CustConfig.aspx)? Would it mainly be warranty issues? : \ Edit: It seems you can customize your computer from Dell the same way you can in the websites I mentioned. Anyways, I still just want to know.

Winter Break 'til Monday, January 4th. I better find something productive to do before I let these 2 weeks go to waste... Can't wait to do it. Feels refreshing to get back on RS after my computer broke down 2 weeks ago. And it's still down so playing on my mum's computer might make me miss out on the snowflakes. : \

I was listening to the radio this morning and I heard something about a student hacking into his school's computer system to change his grades (obviously not something new, but definitely requires a crapload of guts). Denied from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Purdue. :( Still waiting for UMich and Carnegie Mellon University. Applied to UMinnisota and UWisconsin - Madison over the weekend after my U of I and Purdue denial. Wow, this is depressing. This week is the week of finals. Last day on Friday, 12+ friends and I are going out to a restaurant and having a challenge to see who can finish a chocolate cake the fastest within our groups of 4. :-# But still, it's depressing. Also, my computer unexpectedly shut down and it won't turn on anymore two Sundays ago. I figure I wouldn't have time to fix it while I have to review for finals, so I've had to use the library's computers for the past week. This is depressing. Please see I ♥ Cake kid picture in sig.

For those who consider getting P2P after being F2P for 3-4+ years, I understand that playing in P2P will be such a breeze when you have high stats, but why skip out on all the small things that you get when you start fresh on a newb P2P character? I know Forsaken had a side account that she used for P2P... And then she made her main... Oh I can't continue! :cry:

I just wanted to bump this thread and see how everyone was doing in school, now that about 4 months have passed... I've got final exams next week and then I'm off for two weeks. It snowed here near Chicago around Monday/Tuesday so it's really cold. And also, the school district has change our Snow Day policy. Instead of having no school on a typical Snow Day, school would start at 9:30am rather than 7:45am after the snow plows have cleared the streets and such. Has caused quite a stir amongst the students. *shivers*

I'd have to admit, I'd definitely get made fun of if I wore anything of that nature around my school.

Why did the fonts change in the first place?

(Typing from a library computer.) Thanks for the post. My dad thinks it's the power sprite, but unfortunately the old power sprites from our old computers don't have the same number of pins that my motherboard requires. At the moment I need to review for my final exams which are next week, so I won't get time to fix the computer. At the same time, I'm considering purchasing a laptop because I will be attending college next year. I guess it's a good thing my computer stopped working? I've always been wondering what to do with it before I leave for college. :-?

Expect to see 80 Farming and 80 Runecrafting too someday. :D And no, I have no idea when I will get 80 Mining and Smithing. I HATE Mining but with 90k xp/hr, it shouldn't be too hard. Smithing is extremely expensive though. 11M for level 80. :( Using Paint, I made this. Farming is fun, and requires very little effort. Runecrafting sucks. Period. Lol, those should be my skills in the next couple of weeks. =P~ All those 80's... (Typing from library computer.) =P~ Magic cape...

How the hell could ANYONE figure out the clue that Faruq gave (KEEP IN MIND that I have completed the event already; I had to ask someone for the items)... I just finished reading about how to solve it on RuneScape Wiki (link) and the whole time I was reading it, I thought it was the most clever way to screw over us RS players, especially the younger ones. Obviously, the answer spreads like a disease and those lazy enough (the majority of us) don't feel like taking the time to solve the puzzle. Wow, kudos for the last clue... The "active game player..." clue had me stumped since I encountered it, and learning that it was an anagram made me stop right there. And then to find out that it lead to one place and you had to read more stuff and solve MORE puzzles, I wouldn't be amazed if Jagex asked us to purchase real-life plane tickets and travel to Nigeria to find more clues hidden in a random lake... The magnifying glass is a dumb reward for all that work, and the clues were definitely super hard toward the end. I'm guessing someone asked the J-mods who showed up in game how to solve Faruq's clue? Honestly, I can only see probably 1 in 40,000 players being able to solve Faruq's clue without any help.

[spoiler=Old post.]Earlier today, I turned on my computer and I saw the Energy Star symbol and some information which I didn't take down... I normally never see this screen, so I thought that was odd. Then, I am faced with a "Resuming Windows" screen. After a few seconds of that, my computer shut down. I pushed the on/off button and nothing happened. Since the motherboard light is on (there's a little green light that I can see through my computer case's screen), I think the computer's power supply has no problem, but I'm not sure if that means my motherboard is bad. I bought this computer off CyberPower in May of 2007. :-( March 29,2010 (Decided to use this old thread for the sake of not having to create a new one.) Just looking for a laptop to use for college next year.
