  1. At what point do you guys think the xp cap was brought in? I assume it was decided once Jagex realised some people were prepared to keep training and training way past 99 then they brought it in during a normal update to the game. Was the ever an announcement or anything?
  2. You could always get out of bed and go get a job like a normal person. :)
  3. Isn't that auto hotkey thing against the rules? I understand Mouse Keys are allowed but not what you are talking about. Can somebody please clarify.
  4. Ok thanks. I will check this myself but in your opinion, are they easy to buy and are they a lot more expensive?
  5. Hello, So I'm going to train my Herblore up to level 88 pretty soon. I have been wondering though, what is the absolute fastest way to get the herbs and secondaries into the vials? Should I be using mousekeys? How should I set my inventory up? Should I make all pots into unfinisheds first and then add the secondary afterwards? What is the exact method I should be using to get the quickest xp? Thanks for any help.
  6. The first and last time I reset I was level 34 and could not access any further floors. I will reset again the next time I have done every floor for my level, I think that's right. I have done tears and used lamps on this skill in the past. I tend to only ever play this game for a few weeks at a time and I've been like that for the last 5-6 years, this time round I really want to level my dungeoneering up and get a good understanding of how it all works. :)
  7. Ok, I will do 26 again then and hope to see 27 opened up afterwards. Thanks for the replies guys. :) EDIT: Thanks for the help I did 26 again and it's all sorted now.
  8. That was my understanding of how this worked. What has confused me is that every floor has a tick next to it, which I thought meant I had completed it this time round. It also says, current progress "26" so I thought that also meant I had done the first 26 floors.
  9. Ok, I will do that. Is there something I have done wrong here, or is it just a bug?
  10. First off, I am level 58 dungeoneering. From my limited understanding of this skill I was under the impression that at my level I should be able to access all floors upto floor 29. I have completed every floor up to 26 but it will not let me select floor 27, 28 or 29. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong so please help. Thanks. :)
  11. Ok, I feared that might be the case. :( Thanks for the fast replies anyway! :)
  12. Hello, I need to get my Salve Amulet back, I seem to have lost it. How's the best way to get it back? Do I have to go right to the bottom of the Haunted Mine again and mine that special rock, or is there an easier way since I already done the quest. Thanks a lot.
  13. Ok, thanks guys. I will buy a Saradomin Sword later tonight.
  14. Ok thanks, well I won't be bothering with doing quests and I don't really know what I'm doing whenever I tried dungeoneering lol, so SS is my best bet. I did get that new Dragon Defender last night, is SS still better than Defender+Scimmy?
  15. Hello, So this is no doubt a pretty simple question but I haven't played this game in ages and I'm not really upto date with what's good to use. What's the best way for me to train my str? Is Dragon Scimmy still good? I have 65m cash so can buy a few things if needed. I will be training Slayer the whole time btw. Thanks for any help. :)
  16. I'd stick to jewelry, definitely don't bother with leatherwork. I just got 99 crafting and didn't get any rocks...
  17. Thanks for the reply, in that case I think I will go ahead and get 71 prayer and do the last couple of quests I need. If nothing else they will be a bit of fun from time to time...
  18. Ok then, thanks. So two more questions, 1. What situations would the curses upto level 71 be worth it? Dungeoneering perhaps?.. 2. How easy is it to switch between the two sets of prayers?
  19. So I took a long break from this game and have only really started playing it again in the last month. During the time I didn't play, curses were realesed... Initially they looked really good so I did all but Defender of Varrock and Temple at Sennestien until something occured to me, are curses actually worth it at my prayer level?.. I am 70 prayer and have no intention of raising it, I would go to 71 if that would make much difference for deflect melee. The only time I do combat is with slayer and I am currently failing to see how they would help me... I have 84 defence, bunyips and always use super sets and rarely find I have to bank much for food on tasks, or that I want to use protection prayers against any monsters. I do however enjoy using Piety and Eagle Eye from time to time which is something I will loose... What I would like to know is how using any of these curses, upto lvl 71 can improve my slaying or what level would I need to get to make curses worth it?.. What situations are curses really good in? I understand they are awesome for Turmoil and Soul Split but the 95 prayer is a hell of a long way off for me... Cheers for any help you can give me... :)
  20. Yes, fair point. I guess all I was saying is that in the time you will spend crafting you can make the money back without doing any work whatsoever...
  21. Although my playing habbits are a bit wierd, ie. play non-stop for 3mths quit for a 6mths one thing never changes and that is my love for all the info on tip.it. I have always used this site due to masses amount of info available and also how easy it is to use... :) I will always seek out quest guides from other fan sites though, the reason I use a guide is becasue I want to do it quickly not becasue I want to know the story. If that was the case I would do the quest myself. I think tip.it's guides go into far to much detail over un-necessary things and I find the impossible to scan through for the info I actually need... Perhaps somebody could answer this question for me, is this Forum far less active than what it was, say a year ago?...
  22. I've got 99 Crafting (well I will have it tomorrow) from 86 over the last 3 weeks. It's cost me around 40m doing green dragonhide bodies but I have used Morphic Needles at all times... I have only ever bought the hides I need for the next level and then used my other cash to flip items in the GE and did farm runs at all times. I started off with 43m cash 3 weeks ago after selling a few times and since then have got from 86 to within 900k of 99... I have 44m cash and 7k tanned hides in the bank... Basically, it doesn't need to cost you anything if you are willing to put the time into Stealing Creation and know how to flip items on the GE. Playing in a non-cmb SC clan will speed up the process big time so I would recommend that...
  23. Upto you really but I would recommend joining a non-cmb clan for playing SC. Try the "Clay Gods" CC and go to world 45. I joined up to get 99 crafting and I average 23-24 points every 11-15mins... You will have those 24 hammers in no time... :)
  24. There's not many items worth 4k+ that you can buy at least 1000 in one go... Your better off splitting your cash over multiple items. Works for me anyway...
  25. Like others have said, the best items are raw materials and things that are traded in large volumes. For risk free flipping, search out these items and pick items that increased by 1 or 2gps from the previous day. The way I set my prices is to buy halfway between the mid and bottom price and to sell halfway between the mid and upper price. Between the lower and upper limits there is a 10% difference so doing this makes you 5% p/item. Flipping with 20m p/day will make you 1m p/day... I tend to flip with about 40m across 5-6 items at a time. I adjust my prices or buy/re-sell once when I get up, before work, once I get home from work and once before I go to bed. Not everything sells/buys each time and sometimes I have to re-adjust my prices but I probably make about 3-4m p/day with about 10-15mins work...
