well I paid for a half year subscription using a bank cheque. (I prefer to use paper when paying something, instead of all those electronic payment methods you really "feel" the amount of money now...).
However I paid already 8 days ago now... How long does it in general take to process such things?
And how (if possible) can I check whether or not the payment is still on its way (or if I wrote something wrong like the payment reference number)?

i don't really mind that much if some people speak english because they could help you with the german but if everyone starts speaking english it'll just be like another regular server :roll:
umm btw how do you pronounce Ḫ̦̉̉llenpeitsche?
except that (if you don't go to runescape.de) you will automatically only see the english worlds.. so you have to do something "clever" to load the german words -> means less new people -> means less ignorant people -> means I like it there more!

I got the tiroler man event... I really loved it, it felt more authentic there, drinking beer with the tirolerman :) (woot for my new tirolerhut!).

it's not that quiet anymore.. currenlty logged in are 150 players in f2p and 110 in p2p....
and it has doubled the last hour already! (seems it becomes common knowlenge already? :uhh: )

You know, the only players who won't like this suggestion are Pures.
uhm how come I don't like it too either?
someone could easily stand in "lvl 0" wildy just to watch who is in the real wilderness... Then he has an advantage over the other person who are already in the wildernes because they can't see him comming!
and making something like: cmb lvl / ttl is completely strange as it would give a pure skiller a very high lvl (only mining lvl 85 would mean 85/3 = 27).. While someone who has everything to 99 would have only: 2277/126 = 18, not really very fair isn't it?
The only thing I can see working is that they BOTH show the combat lvl and the total lvl... like: XXXX cmblvl / ttl - however this would make the size of all people's bars very huge and I think they have to lower the text size then (like the quest text size).

hybrid - always best (in f2p)!
Why? well if you're a mith pure or "lower", you can still wield green dragon chaps/vamps if you get 40 ranging (only 1 def needed)... Those are actually better than mithril legs/leather vamps.
Also getting magic is very usefull for countering magic pures.. This is because magic lvls also give better defense against magic attacks..
so best is to get always ranging to lvl 40... and then magic as high as possible (without actually leveling).

well I've got lots of cuts in my bank waiting to be crafting at the moment (like 500 of each)..
what do you guys think is best to make money-wise?
I can craft anything up to diamond amulets, and I can enchant everything too...

well I wonder if these things are correct.... seems like I'm always at a strange hour when entering world 2 (since I can't find the right things in the 'right' place...).
but I would really recommend changing your colours! At least remove the white text, I couldn't read it without selecting it! (Though I prefer to have just black text except the titles - it's much more pleasin for the eye).

you forgot to add the recently hunter items..
chinchompas and salamanders..
about chinchompas I've heard they're very great for training.. and about salamanders I heard they hit pretty decent (though I don't hear anything about these anymore).
But I don't have very much experience with using ranging in combat situations. (only in f2p where it's overpowered in fact, but that shouldn't be discussed here).

well growed crops stay growed when f2p (they don't disappear).. so I think yes, they stay (again not for sure, but it's very logical if they stayed {also think about it, if they didn't there were 100-1000 complaints on the rsof from people being f2p for some hours! } )

well I'm also f2p for some time....
though I wanted to collect limpwurts (so I need to have decent combat stats)..
what I'm wielding:
full rune. (bronze looks better though)
-ice gloves (ice queen from heroes)
-gnomish turquoise boots (I think, the light blue boots) (northeast 1st floor of the grand tree)
-fremenik cyan cape (fremenik dress shop)
-power ammy
or instead of above (couldn't choose between those two):
full rune / zammy rune
-red gloves (maybe black mystic?) (canafis)
-red boots (maybe black mystic too?) (canafis too)
-fremenik red cape (fremenik dress shop)/red team cape...
-strength ammy

well I would say, yes and no..
yes, they're better to train fishing xp...
no because you get less healing + cooking xp, why? - well they burn at my lvl about 50% of the time (lvl 68 cooking) where lobsters don't burn at all!

uhm I would recommend some more things to have in bank/inventory:
glorie, duel ring and games necklace...
these will give you a lot more options to travel!
(ow and never forget lumbridge home -tele, it's very usefull if you need a quick bank)

well this happens to me fairly often... (like 10 times already).
It's because I'm on a wireless connection and sometimes (since I live upstairs, with a "very low" connection) - my connection is completely lost. As windows tells your browser than the network connection is unplugged, you won't get a "connection lost retrying to connect" message on your screen (which will keep you logged in). But instead you will just fall back to the login page... If you're connection is up again after a few seconds (mostly) you still can't log in "you're already logged in".
Then I know I'll end up in lumby (or falador)....
Most probably something along these lines happened to that person too

Well I want to apologize first if I made any errors typing this, and if I'm too "general" in this rant. With the "runescape community" I don't mean everyone but the general player! Also I appologize for the length of this rant, but there is so much to say about it.
Lately I've tried to socialize a bit more with the "runescape community". I tried my best to make myself actually known on some fansites. (although I'll never be a very active poster). But somethings have almost driven me mad about the way the "runescape community".
It's not the immaturity from this community. Although this is slightly annoying. I don't have a real problem with this, as it's just about making the right friends, and I often have a laugh when such a immature people tries to speak with me (and I have translate it into english before I can actually understand). It's also not the amount of scammers/autoers, scammers and autoers you can easily avoid and there aren't many of them. (despite some people think, they're only like 1% of the whole community).
No what bugged me lately is the large ignorance of the "runescape community". whereabout? - about using other programs! - People are so scared from downloading other programs, this is no longer normal. As a programmer myself I would love if people liked to download a game I made so I could get some feedback, and I know what to make better. Yet the "runescape community" is so afraid from programs I wouldn't even mind to post a game I made here! What's even more, many people are even afraid of downloading a program from a very well-known site, people think mIRC or firefox hold virusses. Or even worse, people don't trust documents (.doc files) - while it's proven that a .doc file cannot hold a virus (other than a macro which just modifies some settings in word).
What's even worse, is that whenever and whereever I say that I'm a programmer. I get looked down. People always assume, if I say I'm a programmer, that I'm some kind of hacker or something like that. This is something which actually offends me! - Why would I try to hack a program? - as a game creater I know the most fun should lay in the way you achieved your goal, not what the goal is! I even get the feeling that most of the people who try to hack aren't real programmers themselves, who tried to make a real program/game!
If I compare this with other communities of which I am/have been a part. I find this reaction even more strange. Sure other communities there are some people (about 25%) who don't trust everything. However most people are open-minded and they tend to trust it if you give your word on it. These kind of communities aren't only "programming communities" but also the communities from the many games I (used to) play, like UTGOTY KoC ogame and WoW. Some of them are just like runescape an MMORPG, yet they appreciate the things I make...
What I find even more strange is that despite they don't trust anything, the "runescape community" still uses IE, even with activeX enabled (which is enabled by default). While it is know that activeX holds so many "bugs" and it's very easy to get control over someones pc exploiting these bugs! Also they tend to visit sites which need to use java - a real program you know? You can just put an virus in an [Caution: ExecutableFile] as easily as putting it in a .jar...
Well then for sure there are these countless "I'm hacked" (mostly writtnen is some kind of leet speak, followed by begging about free stuf). Well I don't think even 50% of these topics/claims are true - what I keep thinking is that most of these people are just begging for free stuff.
Still about that other 50% who is actually hacked I get the feeling they're so immature.. I get the feeling these are people who tend to visit a site which have "porn" on like every line... and say something like "download 100% free" (free is good 100% free is very bad). I've got the feeling when they try to install something, they don't even read the ToS and don't look where and what is installed. I've got the feeling they don't even understand how their own pc works, and what kind of data is send through internet, that they don't even understand virusses, and keyloggers aren't the same thing (although I have to confess they tend to come together).
Why I got thise feeling? - well because in all years I've been using the internet now, I haven't got a single virus/keylogger (I've got 1 trojan, but I noticed it in a few seconds after it was installed, and deleted it). I'm not using an overprotected pc either (a virus scanner/firewall and that's it). But I do watch something before I download it - I'll watch if other people have commented about it, and how trustworry they are. Iwatch what the ToS tells me, I watch before actually installing something. Yet I download many programs - Still never had a virus!
Well I'm about to click the submit button and as you can hopefully see I do not understand why the "runescape community" is so afraid of downloading programs. Can someone please explains this to me? I've posted this in a rants forum, but that does not mean at any rate I don't like to have a discussion about it! - I would love to see someone prove I'm wrong, I hope it is so.

I'm not usually one to rant. This is the first update where I actually got mad over it. I've never had much of a problem with any past updates to my knowledge. Mining is one of the skills that I really liked and they just made the skill harder then it already was. I apologize for overreacting as I see that it can still be used. I just saw this, got frustrated, and vented my anger into a post -.- . I look at the good side of it though, it makes the skill even more worth having as less people will have it the harder it is to get :) .Wakka102 says this ( i dont kno how do do the quote copying thing, this is best i can do)...
i would like to let you know, you have it exactly. These people just want to live life complaing about anything.
Is there a place in the deser to buy full waterskins? if so we're set :)
just to say: I know you can buy filled waterskins for 48 gp ea in pollnivneach (or how you write that city lol), which is probably some minuts walking away.. You can also buy a jug and refill you're skinns here (way faster than using cactusses).

isn't there already something like "weaken" - called dissease..
though I like the idea especially for weaker monsters - but still I think the strong monsters (60+) should be able to poison you, as it adds an difficulty fighting these monsters.
Or maybe they should change poison in such a way that it is "frozen" while banking. I would like this is because the most common problem I've encountered while being poisoned (stupid abys pkers :P ) is that when you reach a bank (port phasmatys). And you start looking for an anti poison, the poison hits you, and the bank picture is closed - and I died just because I couldn't find an anti poison in time.
Or maybe another idea is to make the poison so that the length which works is shortened a "bit", like halfed. This way if you're fighting someone you will be badly poisoned the whole time (60+) but once you won/ran off, the poison won't always kill you completely!
But just removing poison from the game I think is a bad idea, especially for the stronger monsters!

rofl, you think they (tip.it staff) would allow HTML code in sigs? - It can easily lead to site malfunction or security issues... (the
tag would for example already lead to problems).So it's something you can't turn on (only admins/mods can).
ow and btw flash is really evil, it can be used to load trojans if you don't have a anti virus running..
