F2p pking, No range/2h
Well, if you don't want to range/2h (which i personally use on my pure), I'd go with a zerker pure (not sure if it's the right name): att: 40 str: 50+ (as high as possible) def: 1 pray: 1 (or 31 if you want ultimate str - having 31 will raise your combat, but most people will underestimate your max hit when you tell them your strength) hp: as high as possible (the higher your hp, the less people will accuse you of safing) ranged: 40 [dhide chaps and vambs] (or higher if want extra hp exp) magic: 37+ (teles + hp exp) Obviously, you'll need to make a new account... If you want to continue on your current account, copy stats above and get 40 defence. A little tip: don't be stupid and "no arm(our)" people with 1 def; they lose nothing while you will almost certainly die and thus lose a lot. Don't bother making a mage; they are only good for lower levels and then they're most effective against rune armour, which almost no one brings...

Full Drops in PVP: Impossible?
Why do you say that and how would you change it, while still keeping it RWTing-free? Also, isn't pk with full drops the main reason people go to private servers?

Full Drops in PVP: Impossible?
Why get extra rewards? You get everything your opponent was wearing.

Extreme pots in Pvp
Oh come on. Do you really Jagex is going to admit they were wrong? They should've known that rushers would get stronger. Positive point though: we're gonna get more potions, because their testers screwed up =).

Solved my editing problem (disabled Rich Text Editor). I'll try to update the guide on Saturday; I have a big chemistry test on Saturday (O_o I know right?) and I just found out Tuesday.

Extreme pots in Pvp
In my opinion, combat level isn't meant to be correct for assessing player strength and should only be used for things like making some monsters unaggressive. For example: if a pure with 99 att/99st/40def/99hp/1pray (combat 99) were to fight a person with 58att/57str/99def/99hp/99pray (same combat), I'm pretty sure the pure would win (mainly because the other one can't wield any dragon weapons) [Ok, maybe not, but you can think of a few examples yourself where same combat doesn't mean same strength...]. I'm not saying the combat level algorithm is flawed. Everyone knows that already =p. My point is: it's nearly impossible to make a level, based on 7 (or 8) skills that will realistically depict your strength in average equipment. Not, to forget the fact that most fights in wild are won by KO, not by running out of food (higher hitting average), so that means there should be a DeathMatch combat level and a No-Rules Combat level... As I said: nearly impossible. The reason why you can make a good estimate of player strength in wildy, is because it's obvious that having higher strength and low pray is better; therefore, more people have that. Also, people who have high pray and low strength don't go pking because of their disadvantage. The optimal solution would be to show everyone's 7 (or 8) skills (and maybe add herblore while you're at it for the extreme pots) next to the name, so you can make the assessment yourself. But that would not be practical and you still need combat levels for wildy levels... So, the best way to know what you're up against, is to check the highscores. Usually, for higher levels, you'll be able to see all relevant skills. Off topic: Apparently, Jagex has lowered some of my skills?

So you suggest showing all the possible invisible boosts (pots, prays, pots) to all players? I don't think that's possible. Don't forget combat level also influences other things, like if monsters are aggressive or not. Old Bounty Hunter used to be split up based on Combat level, so Jagex might use this again later. Also, except for rings, you can look up someones herblore, pray or magic level. And it's obvious that if a person has high enough herb/Pray, he will use the unlocked boost.

Have you tried adding other text? I can get into the editing page too, but I can't add anything. I clicked on "Edit", replaced some of the text on the first line and clicked "Submit". It showed this:

How about if you keep Dclaws in your inventory until you decide to spec? Or how about Barage runes, to farcast your opponent after he has wasted much of his food?

Extreme pots in Pvp
I disagree. Say the item costs 50 mill, that you can make 1 mill per hour and that the skill takes 50 hours of training. Then you can obviously see that getting the skill or getting the item is the same thing. Also, you all sound like having high Herblore equals instant victory. I agree that if 2 people with the exact same stats and equipment fight, but one of them has extreme pots, he'll win. But there are other kinds of advantages that can give you an edge (Dclaws, ancients, vengeance, vesta, ...). You can always check highscores to check Herblore level, just like you can check for 99 strength.

Not using a weapon? That isn't a good comparison. When you look at combat levels now, they tell you how strong the player is, when using the average equipment. If you put a 120 vs 136, but the 136 has to use a rubber chicken, the combat level won't be representative from the 136s strength. I think you have to compare a whip+pots or dclaws without pots. You'll see the difference isn't as big then. Answer me this: why should the Herblore advantage be given a combat level effect, while the D Claw/Vengeance/Godsword/Sara Brews/Ancients/Vesta/Full Bandos (choose one) advantage doesn't? There will always be advantages, but you can't make a number out of it! Combat level is for combat stats, not for advantages.

Is the thread itself broken? Or is it the text that I need to rewrite?

Extreme pots in Pvp
Not everyone with 60 attack has D claws, just like not every lvl 100 has 90+ Herblore (they both cost a lot). And if you do have either one, you gain a great advantage. I don't see what's the difference... If you let one of them affect Combat level, you could use the same reasoning to let the other one affect it too. And since I think it's stupid to let any advantage raise our Combat lvls, I don't think Herblore should raise you Combat lvl.

I don't agree that Herblore should affect combat. As has been satted before, are you going to add combat levels for having D claws? How about super pots? Soon we'd be lvl 300. This is the place to discuss the cost of Herblore.

How should i design my house?
Here: - My house is in Taverley (no point in having it in Yanille, with the watchtower tele). This way I get a tele to Taverley (and thus close to Hero's guild for Glories). - I do not have a Varrock portal, because the Edgy tele is rather close. I make up for it by having 200 Varrock tabs in bank. - This house was designed before the Summoning room addition, so you might want to move it, but that's up to you. - Don't just copy this deisgn, because it might not be what's best for you. - as said before, the study is a candidate for replacement, but if you want your telescope to work, one of the walls can't have a room next to it. Hope it helps. EDIT: - the up side of the pic faces east. The reason for this is that you want your glory to be close to your study/chapel, so it has to be on the eats wall. Now, if you decide to train prayer, you don't want to move your camera around, so if you face east, you can see in the bank and clearly see your glory in you house.

How should i design my house?
1) Decide which rooms you want next to your exit portal room, for fast access. I surrounded my exit portal with 2 portal rooms (fast teles), an altar (fast pray recharge) and a study (in case I ever want to make a lot of tabs. Depending on what you want, you could replace the study with a summonning room (for summ obelisk). 2) Included a quest hall with a glory next to any of these rooms (portal rooms are 1 door only, so you'll have to place it next to your chapel/other room). Mainly for when you want to train Prayer in your house. Edgy tele is the closest to a bank. 3) For the rest, just make a list of all the rooms you want (and how many times you want them) and then it's puzzle time! Try to keep it as functional as possible.

Forum question
(If this should be somewhere else, please ask a mod to move it.) I've been having problems editing a large guide of mine. Each time I edit it now (too add more words) he says "You must enter a post". I'm thinking that my guide is too big, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what that message means?

You can hit 99 in 1 hit? I'd like to see you try (no dharok). If not, then just some people can, but that means they are lower level, which usually means a lower Herblore level too. Look, you don't have to spend 50mill if you don't want to. Compare it to Lunar magics. It doesn't affect your combat (usually people at that level are melee based) and it's a clear advantage. Solution: people say "no veng". Similarly, you could say "no extreme" and check Herblore on the highscores before agreeing to fight. While this may sound blunt: I don't care about what you think; I care about why you think it.
