This isn't exactly inflation. Inflation is when there is alot of money in a place and it causes the prices to go up, which is the opposite of what is happening, there in fact is alot of money in runescape, but instead the prices are going down, why is that? That's because each time, more people are able to produce full rune, or mine coal, or cut yews, or anything, supply and demand. That solves the prices question, but what about all the money that was created? Rares, as there is more money, people use it to buy/merchant rares (that makes them go up in price, along with the fact that they are becoming rarer, there's a reason they're called rares). The big shark's odds are not 1/256, i've only gotten 2 big sharks in about 16k normal sharks.

How common are they? And can you get them from the nests you get killing the mole? Because i've gotten around 150 nests like that and haven't gotten an egg.

I'm planning on buying a santa hat, and, as many of you know, santa hats' normally drop on Christmas, but i'm wondering if this year the prices of santa hats will go down too. Each year more people are aware that santa hats' prices go down, and they maybe won't want to sell their santa hat because of that, at the same time, buyers will want to buy more santa hats because the prices are supposed to be low, which may cause the prices to go up. How many people think this will happen? Should i buy it now or wait 'till Christmas?

the last one is incorrect. Onyx can never be dropped by anything, you can only buy it from the shop in Tzhaar. You can get it as a drop from the 149's, check Tip.It's bestiary.
