  1. The most common objection I've seen to the mass banning approach of Jagex is that innocent people may be banned as well. I'm an f2p player, and I plan to become a member after I raise my stats and finish all of the f2p quests. I'm still a low level, only 36 combat, but I worked to get to where I'm at, and I did it on my own. No cheating, no begging. Would I be happy if my account were banned and I'd done nothing wrong? Of course not. I'd probably be really ticked at Jagex. But I'd soon get over it. I'd send a ban appeal, and work on building up a new character in the mean time. This is a game. Something we do for fun. Too many people treat a ban like a "death-penalty." I can understand the analogy, but it's not like our lives are really over. Just make a new character, start over, and if the appeal is granted, get back to work on your main and keep playing honestly.
  2. I do that, too, and nothing's happened to me, yet. I spend a lot of time leveling up one skill at a time, too (specifically mining). Of course, I also talk to other miners, and since I mine coal in the fally underground mine, I fight scorpies while I'm waiting for the coal to spawn.
  3. I can't believe that guy asked you if you've heard of runehq. Isn't that a fan site? If so, then it's against the rules to talk about it in the game. "Jagex staff" would know that and wouldn't bring it up.
  4. My rune pick. I take it everywhere, even when I'm not mining. Mining is my main source of income, so I always have it.
  5. Good idea for the beggars. I had one today, my first one. I tried to teach him ways to make money, but he wanted me to just give it to him. First person I had to ignore. I hear f2p is bad about beggars, and it ticks me off cause it gives us hard working non-members a bad name.
  6. No, I haven't. Never have, never will. And I wasn't whining, I was stating an occurence. It didn't scar me for life or chase me away from the game, it just happened.
  7. I had a similar encounter. I was fighting a highway man. (I was bored and he was there). Someone came up and said "run." I said "No, I wanted to fight him." Understand I'm only a level 28 (I was 26 at the time) but defeating a level five highway man was not a problem. When I didn't run away and let her "play hero" by saving me from the big bad level five she simply said "noob" and was on her way.
