I thought the opposite, which is why i opted for the PS3. Xbox may have a cheaper base price, but with all the accessories (which are often compulsary) it made it far more expensive than the PS3. Even if i bought an arcade xbox now it would still cost me more than a PS3.

If your interested in single player games more then I suggest PS3.

Final Fantasy XIV will be cross PS3 and PC, but the reason it isn't coming out in Xbox anytime soon is because of Xbox live policys. Games are more likely to be cross console and pc before they are console-console.

In america they were sent out randomly whether you were beta tester or not. In the EU though its beta testers only :(

Well, if anyone was watching Gamescom you would have heard that Sony have cut the price of the PS3 starting tomorrow and the PS3 slim will be coming out 1st week of September with a $299/£250 price tag.

Wait until next week, Xbox are dropping the 60gb and reducing price of elite. PS3 are also rumoured to drop price and PS3 slim might be coming out. I meant should I get it on 360 or PS3. :) Ah right, like Skully said Xbox better connection.
