... 1/10th of 4-6 exp per rune (in other words 0.4-0.6 exp per rune) is not exactly fast exp .. its free tho.

So if i'm going back to level one to help a friend get started, i reset? oh and another tip for soloers- i find it always helpful to have a bow and arrows (there's usually some when you start) because of freezing bosses. this is a lot easier than crafting some runes IF you have done the level 1 after the reset and you do it again your prestige will go back to 0*, so I assume its better to reset it so you will receive + prestige from doing the level 1. *Based on a prestige comment few pages ago.

As far as I understand it it's kind'a like pyramid plunder - the faster exp way is to start from the last few levels (In other words if can access up to level 20, start from 15) and after you do the last level you can, reset the prestige.

Overview of the weapons for now (correct me if I am mistaking) Rapier - Best atk and str for 6 speeded weapon Longsword - Best ATK and STR for 5 speeded 1 handed weapon. More ATK than Rapier, less average DMG (because of the lesser speed), more DMG than rapier on higher level monsters (because of the attack bonus) BattleAxe - Best STR for 4 speeded 1 handed weapon. Less ATK than Longsword and less average DMG on low level monsters(because of the lesser speed), more DMG than longsword on higher level monsters (because of the attack bonus) WarHammer - Best ATK for 4 speeded 1 handed weapon. More ATK than Longsword and less average DMG (because of the lesser speed). Maul - ? Spear - best ATK and STR for 5 speeded 2 handed weapon. More ATK and DMG than longsword. Most likely more DMG than rapier because of the bigger attack bonus. Less defense since you lose the ability to wield a shield. Can attack in all 3 melee styles with decent attack bonus. So for now the spear is the best melee weapon ? Best choice for: Fastest weapon - Rapier (better than dagger) Best Stab - Spear Best Slash - 2H Best Crush - Possibly Maul Best Overall - Spear (2nd in speed, best Stab attack, mid-slash attack and near-best crush attack)

one thing i don't like, is that when soloing at least you can just do the whole level in melee, the bosses are so easy that you don't need to mage/range to get by. this makes the skill very dependable on having good smithing/mining, which is fine for me but for others like yourself not so good I see it in a possitive way ... D (I don't like Dung skill =/) was a good reason to level my smithing a bit ... I would have to do it sooner or later. EDIT: Tho I have no intention to level mining up to 80 ... The gold from the dungeon should be nuff for the 4 ores from the smuggler.

In long run you don't lose a lot since the 2nd thing you are going to bind is a platebody (at least I am going to) daaaaang I have to raise my smithing up to 79 then =/

What is the difference in attack between a longsword and a spear in dungeoneering ? Afaik the attack speed is the same, so the spear might be the better choice, but it requires more bars =/

Last word from me in this direction of the topic. Aren't it the only rewards from the slayer skill itself the better monsters to kill and the (after smoking kills) point reward system ? Dungeoneering has bigger dungeons and ... a point reward system ?

So what, there are 3 ways to go to the dungeon peninsula (and the only positive thing about the many portals is not that you are going IN with them, but the going OUT option). You can view the ring as a teleport spell and the 2 other ways as portals ... I don't see the difference between limited house space and limited dungeoneering space ...

Shall I mention Construction again (nothing against your opinion I just found it interesting that no one actually thinks of construction when they mention the "only 1 place to train" thing)

although it is the best skil by far, there still isn't anything wrong with it under 10. mine is 8, but i solo and love the skill. planning on helping record data It's not wrong to have it under level 10, it's wrong to comment something without actually trying it (it's like saying RuneScape sucks after 3 hours of playtime) and trying to convince the others that it's the worst thing that ever existed without actual proof or experience.

I shall quote myself "you (and few more)" This indicates that in my view you are a member of a group of whiners which TBH I think of as one entity.

Not every negative post is counted as trolling, but the only thing I've seen from you (and few more users) since I joined is negativism. And as you can see that's more than 4 years ... And TBH I've watched the forums maybe ~1 year before I had to register to ask something .. So its like 5 years ? Most of which was filled with negative posts.

Daaaarn I have to level up smithing +1 now (Didn't saw the actually huge gap in the attack bonus between rapier and longsword)
-

I am pretty sure the rapier is the best one. (after calculating the max dmg I can do with each one of them and the attack speed ..)

Most likely there is going to be a dedicated server for the skill (like world 99 for fast sc)

I am relieved that I can take the chair I constructed to Varrock and sit on it near the fountain, or bank the said chair ... ooooh wait .. snap!

The 1st line is just a effin personal opinion, and I don't see how this can be an argument. TBH if I started now I would give up on ALMOST ALL of the skills before level 10.

Um ... if the "one place to train" is the problem, what about construction which basically you can train only in your house, which by all means is isolated from the rest of RS.

because firemaking actually provides anything (except ashes) It's nice to have low standards.

In the same fashion the rewards from the D can affect your powertraining (the mage amulets for example)

Btw any indications about the other skills exp ? (in other words .. melee for example, because there are few good afkable bosses Gluttonous Behemoth for example (at lower levels so he wont hit a lot) )

Considering that 1 hour of afk training with Dungeoneering equals only 6 minutes of actual play ...
