  2. Failure. Leave.
  3. Who cares that you get your arse beaten at games by a girl, that had nothing to do with what I asked. I'm asking what you think about them, not how much they can beat you. Perhaps if you were better at the games you wouldn't have posted that? your saying "girls dont play games other than sims because they are easy" ive played games since i was four, dont say 'haha you got beaten by a girl!!! you suck" I wasn't particularly picking on girls, I was generalising based upon girls in my area. Great, i've played games since I was 4 aswell, where are you heading with that? Oh, and quote me for those exact words, and I will stop posting It was a joke, the darwin awards are awards to people who "improve the human gene pool as part of natural-selection" by accidentally killing themselves by being stupid. If you say sometyhing like this to one of my girl gamer friends, shed probobly come at you with a knife (one kid who said that to her at a tournament she strangled with a LAN wire). therefore one less sexist idiot. improving the human genepool Oh noes, we're getting threats from someone we don't even know! D: And yes, I know what a Darwin award is. simple people are syaing "girls cant play videogames", "its a male sport", "girls only play games to suck up to people" Then call the specific members sexist, don't blame my thread for it. But like I said in my original post, 90% of girls where I live wouldn't ever even touch a game. We cleared this up in one of my posts, I already said he bats for the other team.
  4. Hypocritical much? But, if you really want to know, I use WinXP but skin it myself and try to avoid Microsoft software and hardware.
  5. I don't think it'd be particularly fair if he leeked that information to you before anyone else. ;)
  6. That's so true. I was at a party one time, they had just loaded up Tekken. :P I quickly jumped in and I heard a little s[racist term] go around the room. They even gave me a huge handicap. :D So they felt a bit silly after I completely whomped them.
  7. It was Hexen in which you could choose a character class. Really? Bah, I get confused with their names. :P
  8. Who cares that you get your arse beaten at games by a girl, that had nothing to do with what I asked. I'm asking what you think about them, not how much they can beat you. Perhaps if you were better at the games you wouldn't have posted that? Do you know what a darwin award is? I'd say no. Nice job on shooting yourself in the foot with your "stupidity" comment. How is this sexist? I'd like to see you justify that one. Rule #37. I don't see where you're coming from here. The original picture was a real picture taken to boost the Xbox popularity, ever heard of the phrase "sex sells"? Especially with your first paragraph, you're referring to girls on the internet, not generically gamer girls. There was no point in providing that statistic, i'm asking about YOUR OPINION. Not a global figure. And how about just dropping the xkcd-whatever crap, I highly doubt anyone cares. Good job on making yourself look like a moron by needing to "own" my pic. Edit: Yeah, we get it, you bat for the other team. "Sex sells"... Problem is that most game companies think that 90+% of their customers are male, and thus heed to the rule of girls in games; "less is more".

  10. Heh, Doom was probably the second game I completed. I fell in love with it and later played its predecessor; Wolfenstein 3D. Problem with Wolfy was it lacked contrast. The weapons weren't different, just faster fire. Then much later, I played Hexen and Heretic (id's next FPS') but they just don't feel like an id game atall. I mean, you can pick up items and use them later! D: That's not id. Heretic is better than Hexen, but Doom is above them all. (Heretic you can choose between 3 characters who each get different weapons; Warrior - Melee type - strong defence. Cleric - Starts with melee, learns magic - medium defence. Mage - Magic - low defence.)
  11. 1. We don't know your dad, or your family for that matter. Or even how to contact him, not that we'd want to. 2. I'd like to see that. Do you know how much Bill Gates is worth?
  12. No, people just don't try, they know you're suffering enough.
  13. No glasses here, and I have many more "Gamer Girl" motivs, just too... inappropriate for here. :P I wouldn't say i'm any more dedicated than any general gamer. If I know theres something I can do, but just take a bit more practice - I will keep trying. More persistance than dedication really.
  14. Sounds like Double Dragon. I only thought this because I had it on Gameboy ^_^.
  15. Oh wow. :P The first game series I beat was the puzzle series, Hugo. Must've been about... 4/5. One of the first games I played. It was a challenge, I had a bit of help from my older siblings, but 80% of the work was my own. :P It's basically a text adventure but with things happening on screen aswell. For instance you'd need to type "open door". To open it, instead of walking next to it and pressing a key. Beat it at my home... Quite possibly on my Amstrad. Which I later blew up. ^_^ Silly Alan Sugar and not putting a fan in it.
  16. Tomboys are different. They're generally girls who act like boys; such as short hair, boyish nature (more playful, enjoy getting dirty) and have a man voice. Ok, so I made the last one up, but you get the point. :P

Hah, anyway. But just to make sure we're on the same page, a quick definition of a gamer girl: A females who plays a variety of games. I'm sure most females have/or do play Sim games, quick and require little to no knowledge. :P Not just a game every odd week, but plays for entertainment. Ok, on the same page? Now, (especially to males) what do you think of them? Do you feel a bit threatened? That perhaps gaming is a mainly male populated "thing"? Or do you welcome them? Are you glad that there is something that both genders can share interests in? Anyway, lots of boys I know feel quite threatened by gamer girls. They find it weird when I start a conversation revolving around games, but they soon get into it. Discussion thread go.
  18. This thread delivers.
  19. Ugh, Tibia is awefull. You just get thrown in, no tutorial or anything. It's also really confusing, you can kill a sheep and get a carcass, you can then store things in the carcass. Then you can put that carcass inside another carcass... It's like physics took a holiday. And yeah, people often purposely block doorways.
  20. But you lose because you use IE. :P
  21. No focal point. Flat colours. No contrast. Little to no blending. Render is abruptly cut off. Meh...
  22. thats kinda an oxymoron blurry and sharp are exact opposites how can it be both? One is too blurry, the other is too sharp. At the moment both of your signatures are lacking two important things: Lighting and Focal point.
  23. Or get a download manager like FlashGet. It seperates the download into 5 parts for faster downloads.
  24. You say it like that's the only way to know... we do have the Travel Channel and Food Network here :| , it's all you need. It is the only way to know, your own opinions will tell you what you think and not base it off some host. And I doubt the channels would show the bad side to all things, they won't show you the slums of where they are, they won't show you how many restruants there serve things that'll probably give you salmonella...
