Aliens
Despite space being seemingly endless, I still don't believe in extra terrestrial life. Maybe it's naive, or maybe I just don't want to admit there could be things out there more advanced than us. I just don't, can't even, grasp the theory of us just being a tiny spec in a tiny spec of a tiny spec of a galaxy of a galaxy of a galaxy, more so than that. But I doubt they'd visit this planet. Think how many other planets, galaxies even, there are. Less chance than the lottery really. We'd be more likely to recieve a visit if we had means of contacting them, via means of radio or a signal of some sort.

Dealing WITH suicide
I haven't seen a suicide topic for quite a while now, it's all about the depression stages now. But, uh, sorry about your friend. How on earth did he get hold of a gun?

Photoshop questions. Question 3 defined.
The patterns are made pretty easy. But the "fading away" bits are... a little harder, just uses layer masks. Look on a site such as Good-Tutorials for scan lines or dots for tutorials on how to do them.

I'm posting my newest sig on tip.it! :P
Graffiti fonts suck, end of story. They look horrible, don't go with anything and are illegible. Don't use them. Learn to brush; filter piles look tacky, the same and never improve. Your colouring is waay off, except for the first one. Use colours from the render to get the background colours. Don't use renders that have little to no colour. This applies to the car and plane. Why no borders? The signatures all look very flat. No focal point, no lighting and just... flat. Up the contrast, get a focal point going using gradients and add some lighting.

Immortality
We'll be dead before that. The sun could stretch out to Mars or further when it becomes a red giant or a super red giant. The sun becoming a super nova wipes out the whole solar system? :notalk: Hmm... That would happen in millions of years... Imagine if a black hole sucked up earth, you'd come out the size of a pea if you lived through it. :XD: You can live in a black hole, it's just the supernova prior to the black hole would kill you. If you were in a black hole, the world around you and what you see would get slower and slower. Not until a point it just stops, just veeery slowly.

Immortality
Quite possibly. It'd be nice to see how the future gets on, what new things will be invented, where we will populate... But assuming that the Sun were to supernova and wipe out the entire solar system, would we be forever drifting through space?

Valentines day. Eeeeeep.
But why do you need an excuse, in this case - the day, to do that? Why not just do it spontaniously? I prefer not to see what's coming, if I know when i'm going to get something, I generally guess what i'm going to guess. And then when I find i'm right, the "magic" of that day is gone. I expect he's basing his opinions on ~15 year olds. I know my age group is stupidly like that. If you told a girl here you loved them, they'd shrug it off and leave. But give them a gift, something simple like a teddy, and they'll probably squeal like a little girl and not stop kissing you. Which is why I don't believe "true love" can happen before you leave school. College/University is different, girls who go there are generally smart and mature. There's a difference between caring for someone and wanting someone.

So ever tried meditating?
Actually we meditated in our RE class once. The teacher, or what would be the "spiritual leader", generally asks you to imagine a story line. It first involves you "leaving" your body. They ask you to imaging that you are looking at yourself, but from above where you are now. Then you slowly imagine zooming out until you can see the whole Earth. For us, we then imagined we were zooming back in onto a beach. Where we were sat, like where we were, under a palm tree. We can then hear generic beach sounds; waves, seagulls, boats in the distance, the sound of a little kid getting a mouthful of sand etc. Then we notice a boat landing ashore, we open our eyes. It's someone we know. They sit next to you and hand you something. They tell you it is important, it should always be on your person. They tell you that it's a spiritual shield/barrier. It can protect you from any harm to come at you. This person then gets up, boards the boat and sails off into the distance. And then, we zoom out - up and away, and zoom back in on ourselves. Then we open our eyes - for real - and realise this gift is still with us. It's not exactly trying to imagine nothing, but to imagine what is not around you. THERE IS NO SPOON!11 I didn't find the experience spiritual, per say, but it's a very... lightheaded experience. Like when you feel yourself drifting to sleep, but you are still very concious of what is going on around you.

Stance on dogs with violent reputations?
He can't be serious then. A Yorkie at the most would weigh what? 7 lbs (imagine a 15.4" laptop)? A pitbull can weigh 10x that. I agree that it is how they are raised, but these kind of dogs (especially since some of them are bred to fight) require a lot more experience to handle. Yorkshire terriers are probably alongside Jack Russells on the vicious and attack scale. They can hurt, but not likely to kill. Problem is, dogs such as Mastiffs, Boxers, Pit bullls were used in bear baiting (and of course security) and were originally bred to be agressive. But nowadays it should have been bred out. They had an interview on the BBC with a Pit Bull breeder. Like many other breeders, he will not sell a dog to a person who does not act or seem resonable. But, the same can't be said for kennel or abandoned dogs, the charity or kennel are just happy to get rid of them. :| I, myself, own a boxer dog. She has to be one of the wimpiest dogs ever. :P She only barks when being playful and although she can bite, she won't. In the end it's down to how the owner treats them. "Dangerous Dogs Act", pfft. Why label a certain dog more ferocious than another? A dog may be stronger than another, but that doesn't make it dangerous.

Valentines day. Eeeeeep.
Hey! You're full of crap! :D Hey! Shut up! :| Well it's true... Not really, if you want to care for someone you truly love, then do it year-round and not just because some marketing scheme or a calander tells you to. I appreciate love can seem confusing at time, but really if it were simple, it wouldn't be as rewarding as it feels. And by love I mean, willing to marry and spend the rest of your life with. Not some flimsy 2 month old teeny relationship.

The Tip.It SotW - #7 - Photo Manip
Agreed. Still working on mine. Meh, I think it'd be better if we held two. [*:rjw7ea98]SotW. Signature of the week. General signature work, theme and signature limits as per usual. [*:rjw7ea98]WotM. Work of the month. Canvas size, theme, file size and perhaps tool limits. Could perhaps be a wallpaper. But, SotW is fine as it is.

~Nintendo Ds Vs. Sony PSP~
MORE GRAPHICS YES!! (Care to explain what you mean by more graphics?) You know what I mean. Higher quality. I'd much rather have one good mario game than 50 MGS games. What's quality to you isn't quality to me. I happen to enjoy games like the New Super Mario Brothers and the 3d Mario game that was redone for the DS. I can't believe you're basing an argument off of that. Mario games define quality. And that's my opinion. Just don't use your opinions to try to back up an already invalid point. And are you sure you really mean to use the word psychology there? I don't see how what you just posted is any different to what I just did. You merely turned my words around. And yes, I do mean psychology. If you wanted someone to hate say... McDonalds, would you tell them that they sell lots of great, quick and ready to eat food? No, you'd just leave that out and say that they sell food full of fat and bad things. My point: You were willing to post, so it was quickly and readily available to people, the number of Gameboy games to get it into the readers head there are a hueg amount of Gameboy games and leave out PSP making it seem like there were much less. And yes, I did happen to look. But do you expect all members who have a firm, unwavering opinion will bother? Not likely. Another quote for both of you: "Another man's trash is another man's treasure". But like I said in my first post on this thread, in the end it's going to boil down to opinion. It's no use pitting two things, which both have their advantages and disadvantages depending on your taste, together.

Are discussions in the off-topic forum completely useless?
I especially enjoy when people who only post in RS General post here and their first insult is "GO PLY UR LVL 3 NOOB" or something like "I CUD PWN U IN DA WILD LOL NOOB", forgetting about life outside of Runescape.

How old are you?

~Nintendo Ds Vs. Sony PSP~
What a stupid point to attempt. The Nintendo handheld business has been going on for much longer than the PSP. What's the old saying? Oh, "quality not quantity". I'd much rather have one good MGS game for my PSP than be stranded with 50+ Mario games for DS. I also like how you neglected to post the number of PSP games. Good psychology. I like how you gave no measurements or values of any of this. Size - It's about a whole ~2 cm wider and taller. OH TEH NOES I CANUT LIFT TEH 5g MORE!!!11 Prize - PSP = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150. DS Lite = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã99. ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã60 for 4 extra options, more graphics and regular updates? Sold. - Time. Although I have never played a DS, the loading times for a friends one didn't seem that much faster than a PSP. Roughly, i'd say to load up MGA:2 on my PSP takes ~25 seconds. Then a level load will take ~10 seconds more. That's not really a whole lot. Atleast compared to old gameboys.
